  3. What the victim did was exceedingly stupid, I'm not defending that. But I tend to agree here... Rule #3: know your target and what's beyond. Some of those shots may have ended up in the house behind. No blue lights, no sirens, no verbal commands, just walk up and shoot through a fence? After having been on the porch and looked through the windows? No opportunity for surrender. I find that pretty disturbing.

  8. I like it the more I see about it but the reality is bullpups just don’t rev my engine. They are incredibly awkward and require an entirely different train of thought when operating. And at $2,000 that’s a big no.

  9. While I have my own feelings on the matter (which anyone who has been here for a number of years can already guess) we have an even longer standing policy that stories of police malfeasance not occurring in TN are not a fit topic of discussion here. So as much as I’d love to jump headfirst into it, gonna have to lock this thread.

  10. How is that different from the gun grabber's "if it saves just one life" BS???? Not to mention, shouldn't the public demand that cops be honest? In court: "Were you lying then or are you lying now, detective?" How would a jury know which part was/is the lie? To me, resorting to lying means someone is too GD lazy to do their job properly.

  15. Have you ever worked in law enforcement or the justice system? This is not TV drama.

  16. Agreed, but that’s all to get you to talk. Most people think they are smarter than the police and they want to prove it. Cops know this and exploit it.

  20. This is nothing new. Police have used this tactic forever. It is legal. In court as evidence, not. I've never been overly fond of the tactic , but if it gets a major felon off the streets, I can justify it. Sometimes you have to make a deal with the devil, so to speak. Just the way the system works.

  22. This part stuck out at me "She said her husband used her AR-15 and fired into the air as they heard their neighbors firing guns into the air, too. He does not have a concealed carry permit, but she does, she said, adding that the gun belongs to her. "We do this every year because it was New Year's Eve," she said. "Everybody (in the neighborhood) was shooting. It was a tradition. Everybody shoots on New Year's Eve." I have long wondered who the retards are that fire their guns into the air to celebrate. I cannot believe these people think this is acceptable. I had to go to YouTube to find the video. I guess I can see both points but I'm having a hard time finding sympathy for the deceased. He could have easily killed someone firing into the air like that. Did he deserve to die? No. But I also can understand why the cop might feel threatened. Imagine if he announces his presence and then the victim immediately unloads on him. That has happened before.

  23. Listen to the audio, he says that into the radio before he shoots. He behaved more like a hit man than a cop. Easy for me to airchair quarterback, but it seems like it wouldn't take anything more than a few lights and sirens rolling in the neighborhood to put the kibosh on all that stupidity.

  24. I'm "on the fence" when it comes to the Cops actions. Missed part where he looked through windows but that wouldn't tell you much. In hindsight we know this was just a fool shooting in the air to celebrate but man...who the hell empties multiple mags in a neighborhood like that for fun? He might have been a bad guy or crazy guy. That's what I would assume in my hood but every town has it's norms I guess. New years or not. If you assume shooter was an insane person shooting recklessly and randomly in a neighborhood your job is to stop the threat immediately before he kills someone right? Cop might of had a limited but good enough sight picture. If he announced POLICE!, crazy might have shot in cops direction or decided to take cover in home and prolong shooting spree. It was a weird scene, glad I'm not a cop in that situation. I probably would have called out to drop weapon and "hope" he was just a stupid drunk celebrating and would comply. But that would have been risky to the neighbors.

  31. I use a spread sheet for my S/N inventory. I then email it to myself & stick it in the "saved" folder. That way even if my computer is stolen or my house burns to the ground, I still have my S/N list. Keeping the list accurate & up-to-date is a different story...........................

  32. Maybe I need to watch that video again or get the information you have but I see a cop shooting through an obstacle at a not entirely clear target who is discharging a weapon into the air. Not shooting at any other individual, house, or whatever. Does that warrant being put down?

  34. I get it, I was the same way not too long ago. But even though I seek out more sources to verify articles I too am under the MSM rock somewhat in that many of them are jn lockstep with the 'facts' seemingly corroborating the reports and generally omitting some they should be pursuing. Project Veritas has broken many stories that, if we had a free press, should have been front page news, yet not even a peep. Take the selling of aborted fetus', wouldn't you think that would be a human interest story? Or how about, the Dominion guy saying the fix was in? No, no interest in covering that, instead we get vilification of a teen wearing a MAGA hat.

  36. Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. If you screw the slide up it will be your problem. If S&W can not get it out they will put a new slide on the gun. Do it right and send it back even if you have to wait a couple of months.

  37. This sounds like an amazing idea. As a final word on the matter: @DispositionMatrixnobody (especially me) is buying your attempts to deny that you were doing exactly what you did here. Some of us have been on the internet since before the World Wide Web was even an actual thing. We’ve had enough experience with a specific type of online behavior to recognize it when we see it. If it looks, walks, and quacks like a duck then it’s a most certainly a damn duck. You're on thin ice. My tolerance for this kind of scatological material of a bovine origin is very low. This discussion is closed.

  41. Well, theres definitely more interest in all firearm types than ever before. And I think a lot of it is my age group, late 20's to early 40's. Most guys in that group have good jobs, are fairly settled, and guns are relatively cheap compared to some other hobbies. Priced a set of golf clubs lately? Or performance car parts? And by the time I hit 30, and most of my peers I know as well, we have all the tacticool we can stand so we start buying stuff that draws our attention. Old school steel, wood, high polish and engraving. Couple that with a restricted supply and prices start to sky rocket.

  44. I'm currently reading The Real Anthony Fauci by RFK Jr. The ebook version is only $2.99 on Amazon and it's currently #1 on Amazon. I expected it to be a hit piece, but it's a thorough timeline of activities by Dr. Fauci and his acolytes to suppress use of prophylactic and therapeutic drugs, including but not limited to HCQ and Ivermectin. I'm shocked by what I've learned. It's much worse than we have been led to believe. Read ebook pages 88-100 deal with HCQ. 100-145 deal with Ivermectin. (and maybe more on IVM. I'm just at page 145 so far.) There are over 450 footnotes in Chapter 1. If you buy the ebook, you can click on the link and read the original document. Pages 134-142 is a transcription of a Zoom call with one of the most influential people in the world about Ivermectin. You will come to the same conclusion I did. He has been bought. He so much as admits it in the back and forth dialogue. I'm not sure I can post a link to buy the book, but surely everyone here buys things from Amazon. Get the ebook and you can start reading immediately. Please... buy this book. Read it. Post a link to it on all the other forums you're on and on your Facebook page.
