Project Veritas posted internal military/gov't emails detailing the fact that in April 2020 (yes Virginia, almost 2 years ago), the fed gov INCLUDING farci knew that: It came from a lab in China Eco Health Alliance was funding its research with US Taxpayer money (because DARPA passed on it since thats illegal) Ivetmectin works ("it both inhibits viral replication and modulates the immune response.") They knew the shots wouldn't work. They knew natural immunity would be lasting and durable They knew it mainly affected the sick and elderly But YOU can trust them with the shot. Totally not lying to you this time. Got boosted yet? But go ahead and denigrate me for seeing through all the BS so you don't feel stupid for trusting an agency thats been bending you over a barrel since before you were born. I truly don't understand people. Read Plato's shadows. Fascinating bit of psychology. People would rather drag others underwater with them rather than admit they were wrong.9 points

Never heard of Project Veritas?? They have been exposing the .gov, ANTIFA, BLM, Abortion Clinics, etc. etc., for years. If you haven't heard about them then you have been living under an MSM rock. Hell, they had their offices raided by the FBI to find the documents which prove ole Biden is a perv with his own daughter.8 points

Without going into detail AND violating the no politics rule it says in short what many of us already knew. Lord Fauci and our gvt knew and help fund (we help fund) the albatross thats been hung around our neck for going on 3 years. We don't have a R or D problem we have a GTF outta DC problem8 points

The entire discussion is irrelevant. What’s going to be done about these findings? Nothing! It’s just more of the power brokers ensuring that we continue to do what we are doing now. Little powerless citizens fighting one another. I’m no longer convinced that there isn’t some sort of cover up going on, and the more boosters they suggest makes me more skeptical about taking them. We’ve got to get past this allegiance to political parties and realize that it’s the people against corrupt government and politicians.7 points

Distract from the core argument about were crimes committed by turning it red/blue political. We have evidence of crime. Stop the debate right there, everything else is kabuki theatre that distracts from the need to deal with the crimes and treason.5 points

Project Veritas has an impeccable record. They have never been sued, nor retracted anything published.5 points

And how do you guys know these reports are accurate? What is your criteria for determining what is fake news and what isn't?5 points

Because there's not a news network out there that can't be linked back to someone making money off our current situation. You wouldn't run off the wheels off your own gravy train would you ? New masks and vaccines soon to debut. Announced that this morning.4 points

This is a good question and one we should all ask ourselves every time we encounter reporting of information. “What makes this reliable/unreliable?” Like @ReeferMac I consider Project Veritas to be a reliable source. Their record for accuracy is untarnished. The attempts to impugn their reporting (of which there are many and in a very concerted fashion) have been unsuccessful because PV always brings the receipts. The only caveat I will offer is that these reports to tickle my biases and preconceived notions. So I must admit to being predisposed to believe them because I already believed the reports to be the reality of the situation. They aren’t reporting much new (besides DARPA saying hell no) but instead are confirmation. So for those that seek to disprove these reports, they better bring receipts by the stack.4 points

Well Erik I pretty much say if they have their lips flapping they are lying. That is part of the issue these days, we don't know who is telling the truth. That is like these fact checkers, who is to say they are telling the truth??3 points

You’ve got a lot of new and out there sites reporting on the original reporting from Project Veritas. I’ll be honest, I didn’t click the original link as I was already familiar with the PV reports. I’ll link those here. They are what I am basing my views on, and what I imagine a lot of the other commenters are as well. https://www.projectveritas.com/news/military-documents-about-gain-of-function-contradict-fauci-testimony-under/3 points

I share @Erik88 's initial skepticism. Given that's its on the internet from a source I've never heard of, that's strikes 1 and 2 right off the bat. Some others have since posted supporting info that I'll consider, but I still don't fully buy it yet. In God we trust, all others must have supporting data. I'll have to do some research to satisfy myself and I figure Erik will do the same. Perhaps I'm misinterpreting and I apologize if I am, but this seems dismissive of what I think is a perfectly valid question.3 points

Actually don't see this as a political issue. I see how it can be looked at that way because there seems to be some red/blue sides shaping up, but the evidence of government malfeasance surpasses ideological boundaries. The evidence is irrefutable that they have been lying to us, manipulating us, and trying to control us with known falsifications about this novel 'virus'. Everything that comes after that is treason, and a hangable offense. You can argue how many angels can dance on the head of a pin if you like, I say its high time we hang the MF'ers. Right on Washinton Mall. Been there, plenty of lamp posts for all 545+ of em. Watch now as folks start diverting the argument and trying to discredit Project Veritas... anything but admit they're wrong.3 points

Oh please, that was staged by the fbi... "Mostly peaceful protests" were more violent then that 'event' where people stayed inside the velvet ropes and took selfies with capital police. Irrespective, it has nothing to do with the events discussed, but thanks for distracting from the topic with partisan politics! It definitely helps the discussion.2 points

I almost did the same thing on gunbroker. Except I miss read the listing and thought it was .380. I decided that if I won the auction (like 300 rounds) I was just going to have to buy a pistol in 38 Super. Luckily (I guess) someone out bid me. With 850 rounds, you might as well pick up a pistol in 38 Super2 points

See note regarding Dec totals at end. The Tennessee Medical Examiner threw a curve into things: TN average daily Covid deaths: (2020) March 0.7 (first death 3/21/20 but averaged over entire month) April 5.8 May 5.3 June 8.0 July 14.7 Aug 22.5 Sept 23.2 Oct 29.0 Nov 41.9 Dec 74.3 (2021) Jan 88.4 Feb 62.8 Mar 15.9 Apr 9.7 May 8.1 June 3.8 July 5.9 Aug 25.0 Sept 56.3 Oct 37.0 Nov 27.4 Dec 50.4 * total TN deaths thru 12/31/21: 20,881 * "TDH announced that the State Medical Examiner had determined that 2,499 deaths where Covid-19 was listed on death certificate as a contributing cause of death should be added to the TDH total. The bulk of those (2174) were added today (12/22/21)." So for the 22nd, I only used the average of the other 30 days of the month. No mention of when/if the remaining 325 deaths of that addition were added, so really, the Dec stat is overall a bit more "iffy" than usual, and only the total official death count reflects that large addition. - OS2 points

...And knew damned well where it was going and what they were doing with it. His wife signed the check! He was the one that brought world health alliance in to run it since obummer told them they couldn't do it at Ft Detrick anymore, and DARPA said Nope, illegal as hell. That would be "Lying to Congress under oath for 25 to life Alex"2 points

I've been preaching about this for years. School isn't about education anymore. Its about pushing kids through a failed system and turning out good little drones who follow their masters orders without question and believe everything the liberal left has pumped into their poor feeble minds. People who can think for themselves are a danger to the powers that be.2 points

FWIW, wife and I had something late December of 2019. Hit us pretty hard for a week or so. Usual symtomology from this. Nothing else until last week of December '21 and a few days in and around New Years. Then we've both felt a little down again. Mild flu-like symptoms, nothing bad. We stayed inside and self medicated. Our PCC agreed with us staying home. Said not to come out unless drastic change for the worse. Wife, as a retired nurse, kept saying probably omicron. I think so. I was vaxxed, she wasn't. No outside testing done. I don't see the benefit. We rarely go out anywhere. I do shopping. She stays in. All is good now.2 points

Is smokeless powder designed for use in small arms ammunition subject to the explosives storage requirements? Español Smokeless powders designed for use in small arms ammunition are exempt from regulation under 18 U.S.C. Chapter 40 and the regulations in 27 CFR Part 555. Packaging that readily identifies the smokeless powder as being designed for use in small arms ammunition may help in determining whether it is entitled to the exemption. Smokeless powder designed for use other than in small arms ammunition, and explosive products such as squibs, fireworks, theatrical special effects, or other articles that may contain smokeless powders, are regulated and must be stored pursuant to the regulations at 27 CFR 555, Subpart K – Storage. It should be noted that persons engaged in the business of importing or manufacturing smokeless powder designed for any use must have a Federal explosives license. Further, importers of smokeless powder designed for use in small arms ammunition must also possess an ATF firearms importers license (Type 08 or 11); must register with ATF under the provisions of the Arms Export Control Act; and must submit (to ATF) and receive an approved ATF Form 6 – part I (5330.3A), Application and Permit for Importation of Firearms Ammunition and Implements of War. Last Reviewed October 4, 2018 pasted from aft.gov thats all I need to read on this. It’s in the faq and they can’t expect anyone reading faq to look up a regulation. No limit1 point

I find myself feeling this way a lot lately. The last 5 years it's been one conspiracy theory after another. It's exhausting trying to keep up with all the things that the government is supposedly doing to us. I read a lot of comments from folks that claim to have it all figured out and that their sources are somehow more credible than the rest. They may be right but none of us really have a way of fact checking things anymore. For every link I find to prove a point someone else can find one that proves me wrong. Ultimately, people believe what they want to believe. To your point, I can't do anything about it anyways. I know one thing, voting for a specific party isn't going to make all the bullsh*t disappear. Life goes on for me either way.1 point

Fauci's hands have been dirty long before Trump descended that escalator. If you choose to believe this started because "TRUMP" then you're thinking exactly how they want to. Edited to add - when I say "THEY" I mean those that must protect Fauci at all cost. Just like the extreme spin they put on his "hot mic" story this morning. I mean GD that's laughable1 point

No argument, but isn't society failing by not holding their feet to the fire to make the kids pay attention? To make them behave? And once the kids hit 18, they're adrift with no job, no job skills, unable to read & write, so what then? I don't have an answer but the prisons are full of those former kids in Memphis.1 point

Rules Addendum: 2A Legislation and Politics Forum By now you should have read the general TGO Rules and Guidelines as part of the process to join TGO or perhaps because we reference them in quite a few places. I will point to two things within them, and make an additional statement about how we expect the 2A Legislation and Politics sub-forum to be handled. From the TGO Rules and Guidelines: Rule #1: Maintain good fellowship. There will be times that you do not agree with someone else, and times when no one else agrees with you. No matter what the case may be, you are expected to handle differences and disagreements with maturity and tact. Handled responsibly, debates are welcomed and even encouraged, however, name calling, slurs, flame posts, and other insulting remarks meant to cause conflict are not allowed. You don't have to agree, but you do have to try to get along. If someone is being abusive, report it to the TGO Staff. Rule #2: Do not engage in or promote illegal, unethical or threatening activities. You may not use this website to promote illegal, unethical, threatening or seditious activities, including but not limited to intentionally sharing private, semi-private or identifying information about people with malicious intent (aka "doxxing"), cyber bullying, fomenting sedition or calling for violent action against lawful government institutions, their employees, or elected representatives. You should carefully consider that what you say here today could haunt you elsewhere tomorrow. The Internet provides an almost indelible record of everything said or done on websites such as this and there are many eyes upon us. The fact that those are the first two rules is not by coincidence. They are the two most important things a member of TGO can do to help us keep this place civil, welcoming and in good standing with the community of gun owners at large and certainly with our own respective physical communities. The best way I can sum up those two rules is "Don't be a jerk and don't act like a criminal". Most of us probably heard some variation of that from the adults in our lives while we were growing up, so it should be old hat by now. Beyond those two things, I want to just make another simple appeal: Don't ruin this. There will be zero tolerance for anyone who can't handle mature conversations in the 2A Legislation and Politics sub-forum. This is the only place left on TGO where we care to have political matters discussed. We have forbidden politics anywhere else within this community because of how divisive and emotional it always becomes. But we aren't ignorant of the fact that politics and law are significant components of the world of firearms. It would be nice to believe that one day our country will stop trying to tear apart what the Founding Fathers codified in the Constitution and Bill of Rights, but until that happens the matter of the right of the people to keep and bear arms will be a point of political focus. It is imperative that we are aware of this and stay engaged with elected representatives to preserve the Second Amendment. We won't be getting rid of this sub-forum just because a person can't handle the topics responsibly. We also will not be responding favorably, as moderators or members, when abuses occur. Be nice, follow the rules, or you will be shown to the door. Thanks.1 point
