  1. I have three rescue dogs that are absolutely the best. Dogs are near and dear to my heart...people not so much. There's a special place in hell for the dipstick that put these pups out to die. Bless you for taking them in.

  2. Just my opinion but you would be better off buying another safe and keeping old safe. Resale value isn’t very good on used safes.

  5. Nothing really. But it is a bottleneck cartridge so getting more into a similar size magazine won't work. My own pet peeve against the 7.62X25 is that sucker is LOUD!. I just don't care for shooting it.

  7. We have close to 5 inches here in Mt Juliet, and still snowing I stayed home, brother and my son went in. Brother is still on the road back to Dickson, son made it home from down town Nashvegas to Tuckers Cross Roads in 2.5 hours. I have the fire going, chili on, and all is good in my world! Yall be safe out there, please and thank you.

  8. You are so right Greg. The snowfall started at 9:30 and in 1 hour we got about an inch. This time the roads were cold enough and it is sticking to our country road. TDOT does a great job on the highways, our only problem is the 3.5 miles of hilly, curvy, snowy and possible icy country roads!! Hopefully the warmer temps on Saturday will get our country road in good enough shape to attend church!! Ya'll stay warm, and be careful we don't need any falls and busted heads or hips!!

  10. Found two puppies abandoned on the side of the road. They need a good home. I believe TN law may require a "rehoming fee", so I'll set that at $1. Please contact Wags & Walks, as they have taken them in to foster until they're adopted. https://www.wagsandwalks.org/available-dogs-nashville

  12. I vote for the second safe also. My original Tractor Supply safe is now my upstairs safe tucked in the back of a walk in closet and I added a Liberty downstairs. Storing some guns for my son right now so close to capacity again but making it work. Biggest problem with two is deciding which guns go in which safe. If money was no object I would go with the walk in options. I know two people with that luxury. They don't just have a walk in safe it is a nice room with furniture. Rich relative was the best, vault door was hidden behind a fake wall that hinges out so you don't even know it's there.

  15. We have a rescue mix that is 18 years old, we have had him since we adopted him at age 3. He is a family member and i would risk my life to safe him as i would my kids. He went on our honeymoon and all vacations. He has made such a huge difference in our lifes. HIs time is coming to an end as he has a mass near his heart, and it's going to be very tough, but i thank God every day for putting him into our lives. I hate that these dogs were abandoned, that's horrible, but i am glad that you got them and glad to see them on here, it's a great group of people and i hope someone has a place in their home and hearts for them.

  16. Me neither. Most adoption centers charge a fee to support the adoption center, but I've never heard of a re-homing fee.

  23. That's because the traffic and rain will wash most of it into the sewer before it starts snowing. The only thing that accomplishes is rusting cars, drain pipes, and polluting the waterways. But they have to appear to be doing something.

  24. Zero punches pulled here by Ryan Cleckner. “As if I haven’t already made enough bold statements, here’s another: I feel so strongly that the 30 Super Carry is a bad idea that I’m going to use it as a measuring stick to see who in our industry is being paid for their opinions. Of course, people can disagree with me. However, absent a compelling counter-argument to each of my issues with this new round above, I am going to assume that anyone who calls this “ground-breaking” or the “best new self defense round” is a shill and is getting paid to pretend like they like the round. This is a problem for me – your life may depend on an opinion that you didn’t realize was a commercial. Keep an eye out for me and see if I’m right.” https://gununiversity.com/30-super-carry/?fbclid=IwAR0NuKKot3L3HAs-Rr8aoFv0b98RObYA0nuO9BiRekV96_FxTAdMnrBRnNg

  26. There's been quite a bit of discussion on other forums about this. The main question seems to be why? Why another caliber? Why now, when common ammo is so hard to find? What were they thinking? Nobody seems to know. Formal introduction and much more info is expected to take place at the Shot Show in just a couple of weeks. Same to me. But I also think the .32acp is a vastly underrated cartridge. Speculation so far is that its designed for the currently popular small or pocket sized pistols. Apparently you can squeeze one or two more rounds into the same size magazine as a 9mm. I guess everything is about capacity these days. My real interest is how's the recoil? If its more comfortable to shoot than a standard 9mm or a blowback .380, I can see a market with women, elderly or disabled people. Here a higher preforming cartridge with lower felt recoil would be very popular. If the cartridge proves to be decent, I can see it being readily adaptable in most any existing .380 or .32 firearms such as the Walther PP Series. Personally, I'd like to see it in something like the Colt Government .380/Mustang or Browning 1911-380.

  29. It was a special Christmas for my son this year. He is 5 and "Santa" brought him his first real gun. Of course it had to be a KSA Crickett: black synthetic stock with stainless barrel. His eyes and face when he saw it were priceless on Christmas morning, so Santa did good! Here is a quick shot of us shooting it for the first time the other day. We went through a couple hundred rounds and had a blast. Hope all you folks had a great holiday season!

  30. I have acquaintances in TN and have been considering property northeast or ESE of Knoxville. A non-fudd range would be nice for 3-gun and other practical shooting. Up here I am able to regularly take defensive carbine courses that include DFH for completing CoFs when failures are induced in the carbine. Sig is nearby as well for far more expensive courses. My most recent pistol acquisition is a CZ P10C. The jury is still out on whether it can unseat my H&K VP9 as best-in-safe. Having pieced together a few ARs, including most of what will turn out to be an LMT MLKMWSB-MARS but with a 20" barrel to fulfill the DMR role, I have moved on to AK building. I have a build thread on Weapons Guild for an AK-103/4 Khyber Pass/apocalypse variant for what admittedly is an odd choice for a first build. Next up either will be a Yugo M70B1 or AB2 to replace my ZPAP or a Romanian md.63, since among my manufactured AK-pattern firearms I do not really have a representative AKM. An AMD-65 (TGI) is the closest one I have right now. I would like to do either matching. Stamped M70 kits have dried up, though, and I don't have the skills for a re-weld. I shoot primarily at a range that has 8 utility bays for action shooting, but the rifle range tops out at 150 yards.

  35. Well...that was interesting. James Reeves comments lead me to believe it might just be a strong Shield Plus competitor. Better trigger(? somewhat wonky reset), seems to fire faster(subjective), lighter with same or better capacity. Seems to have good possibilites. Will have to see and feel one in action.

  36. I dunno about this thing. It feels like an answer to a problem no one asked. Capacity is king these days, so I get the logic, but was another new cartridge necessary? Who am I to say? I thought the .327 Federal Mag was needless, but it seems to have hung on, and I even catch myself eying one every once and a while. For the .327 it makes sense, 6 rounds in a small revolver that otherwise holds 5. In that sense, 6 is a lot more than 5, but in the case of the 30 SC is 12 really a lot more than 10? Where it might get interesting for me is if they can cram 15 rounds in a standard sized Hellcat or P365. That would be a meaningful jump.

  38. This sentence is absolutely absurd. Cleck has been around a long time and earned a reputation. He isn't "buying followers" by opposing something that 95% of this thread has also opposed.

  39. Well, by being so vocally opposed to it before its even released, he's certainly drawing attention to himself. There's no such thing as bad publicity. So who's the shill here? For me, the make or break issue is going to be recoil. I small. pocket sized gun with close to 9mm performance but easy to manage recoil would be an absolute winner. But if the recoil is sharp, snappy or nasty, it'll never fly.
