It was a special Christmas for my son this year. He is 5 and "Santa" brought him his first real gun. Of course it had to be a KSA Crickett: black synthetic stock with stainless barrel. His eyes and face when he saw it were priceless on Christmas morning, so Santa did good! Here is a quick shot of us shooting it for the first time the other day. We went through a couple hundred rounds and had a blast. Hope all you folks had a great holiday season!6 points

I bought this pretty little over/under new in 2005. The wood is beautiful, no blems or boo boos on it. Has 26" barrels and comes with 7 chokes (5 factories & 2 Carlson skeets). I'll even throw a box of rabbit loads in, tis the season. This was my go-to dove gun until my friend sold me his Browning Citori. No sense in this sitting in the safe any longer. SOLD - thanks TGO3 points

There was at least 8" up on parts of the Cherohala. Some drifts were a foot deep. There were also a lot of downed trees. We had a great time playing in it.3 points

Winchester 94. Found a barreled action on gunbroker then parts a few at a time. I’ve got a bud here that sells nothing but barrels and stocks. Took several months to get everything together. It can be done. It ain’t pretty but it shoots great.3 points

The CDC now recommends that police officers protect their duty ammo from Covid contamination by leaving their service weapon empty and putting only one round into their shirt pocket for emergencies.2 points

I am looking to sell my Schmidt-Rubin Infantry Rifle. It is in excellent condition for a milsurp gun and has all matching serial numbers, including the magazine, along with the original sling. It features the Swiss straight pull bolt action that is extremely unique and smooth. It is the precursor to the somewhat better known and more available Swiss k31. It is phenomenally accurate with an amazing trigger and is widely regarded as one of the most accurate milsurp bolt guns available. I am also including 120 rounds of 7.5 Swiss, which can be somewhat difficult to find, so you can shoot it as soon as you buy without having to search for ammo. I am located in the Knoxville area and would be willing to drive to meet someone interested in buying. Please text me at (714) 331-0197 $750 (including ammo)2 points

In Mt Juliet we had 4 inches, about the same at my son's place just east of Lebanon. We are out running around and the snow is slowly melting.2 points

I have said for years that the punishment must fit the crime in order to make thugs think twice, is cutting this catalytic converter worth 5 years in the pen or loss of a hand. In countries where they cut off hands, you rarely see a fellow with 2 of them missing. The first one lopped off does the trick.2 points

A lever action ? Or was this meant for the AR build thread ? Cause if its a lever I want pics and details2 points

Agreed. The 4.7L is one of the most reliable engines they have ever made. And yes, the 1st gen Tundra was substantially smaller than the current generation. It's amazing how big trucks have gotten over the years. Here is my 02. I took this picture today.1 point

Derf is right with project guns. This is one I got from GB for $240 as a stripped barreled receiver. Not counting the love of labor, I got about 500 into the gun including the China scope. Sold it as a few bucks toward the next tinker job. Marlin 336 35 Remington Trapper / Texan style 1950 mfg - Lever Action Rifles at GunBroker.com : 9128926121 point

Nothing that I would call accumulation. Between the previous day's 70 degree temperatures and the fact that we had a bunch of ice before the snow, we didn't really get anything.1 point

Up for sale here is a full kit from Recover Tactical. It's the 20/20 model that fits basically all Glock 9mm, 40s&w, & 357 sig models. It comes with the chassis brace, high & low charging handles, the holster, the minimalist sling, the two side rails, and the upper rail for red dot mounting, and all mounting hardware/tools. It is new in box never been opened. I ordered two of these, one for myself & one for a buddy who then backed out on buying it. I don't need two. This is over $220 new plus shipping when they are in stock. I'm asking $200 for all of it.1 point

Well, I got derailed by 6.5 Grendel. Some parts came available I couldn’t pass up. Now my A4 Stocked lower that had a 223 Wylde upper built with a match handguard and nicely cerekoted a version of Disruptive Grey now has a 6.5grendel barrel and a scope. the 223 Wylde barrel will now temporarily be on the new build with a classic M16A2 configuration (but with a collapsible stock) I got to keep it built as it is also used as a 22LR plinker. Not saying I won’t build a 450 Bushmaster. I just need to find the best deal on a barrel and bolt. Then the PSA lower and AeroPercision XL upper will have a true purpose. i will get photos up on Show&Tell soon.1 point

Got my base model Dagger on Friday and took it to range. Shot very well for me. Trigger isn't the best but not as bad as some of the reviews I have seen. Not one failure so reliability is good so far for me. I'm happy with it.1 point

From Wikipedia Plot By the year 2022, the cumulative effects of overpopulation, pollution and an apparent climate catastrophe have caused severe worldwide shortages of food, water and housing. There are 40 million people in New York City alone, where only the city's elite can afford spacious apartments, clean water and natural food (at horrendously high prices, with a jar of strawberry jam fetching $150). The homes of the elite are fortressed, with private security, bodyguards for their tenants, and usually include concubines (who are referred to as "furniture" and serve the tenants as slaves). America has also adopted the metric system. It was all the Metric System’s fault.1 point

As has been said many times here, we don’t have a justice system. We have a legal system where you’ll get all the justice you can afford.1 point

Yeah, that's not gonna happen with MY stuff. Not implying nor encouraging anything illegal, but the story can be properly tuned if one is careful. Just sayin'. Also, jury nullification is a wonderful thing. Never turn down the opportunity to serve on a jury. You never know which poor guy is getting railroaded by a crappy DA or not?1 point

I have a memory of a story my dad told me from when he was stationed on the DMZ after the Korean conflict. I can’t say it is 100% true. The Korean barracks (maybe on the north) had a problem with thieves. They caught one of the thieves, and put his head on a spike. They did not have a problem again.1 point

That's where fentanyl comes in. It's a problem that doesn't want to be solved. Guy takes your stuff for drug money. Dies from fentanyl overdose. No one gets that upset.1 point

Then folks would not J-walk. It may be considered barbaric in “modern society” but as bobs guns mentioned, the Muslim punishment of cutting of the hand of a thief works. I remember a story I heard in the 80’s when a friend of mine moved with his family to Saudi Arabia because his dad was working on the new airport. They were out and about and his dad dropped his wallet. When he realized it was missing and they retraced their path, it was right where he dropped it. No one was willing to just steal in off the ground for fear of losing a hand.1 point

I think Alabama and Georgia both took their foot off the gas a bit and started rotating kids once they were well in control. Both games could have been 50-3. There was a notable absence of late game cramps and "injuries" that tend to occur in close games. And UT got totally screwed. Several of those PI calls and that TD.... that was really, really bad.1 point

I wish I had a couple crates of lever guns right now. I wouldn't sell them, just wish I had a couple crates. good luck with your search and be prepared to shell out more than you expect as some have tripled in price in the last 3 years. Kicking myself for thinking the price would drop on the 45/70 SSBL guide gun, that $850 tag at the gun show in 2018 is looking really fine in hindsight.1 point

He has a much higher opinion of McDonalds than I do. I think that S&W is closer to a nice sit down restaurant like Longhorn Steak House. I also think much higher of Springfield Armory. I ate at Panera Bread once. Never bothered to go back. I own a bunch of Springfields. Kimbers are overrated and over priced. I like IHOP and their prices are reasonable. No comparison at all.1 point

Whoever wrote that thinks a lot more of McDonald's, or a lot less of Smith and Wesson than I do.1 point

I guess that depends on your definition of success. Hypothetically, if they end up being a $299 price point gun, and sell a tens of thousands of guns to people who would otherwise buy something like a Taurus. Is it a success or not? Their bean counters will determine that I guess. I'm not saying it's going to be successful, and maybe it flops but through their R&D it might shake loose something that is what you would consider a success. Again the market will dictate that. This is getting off in the weeds a bit and not exactly apples to apples but to your example, many companies that are not traditional "truck" companies have ventured into the truck market, Honda and Hyundai, Jeep (less recently) and soon to be Tesla to a lesser degree. Whose to say that they don't have something in the works to compete in that 1500 class. If Honda came something are you going to say "It'll never work they should only build sedans and fuel efficient SUVs"? Or to keep it in the Gun world when Glock finally builds a PCC are you going to say "who needs another PCC? Glock should just keep making handguns"1 point

Yup, 99 lbs. It has a built in bale to help roll it around on the back wheels, like a wheelbarrow. Its impressive, just too big for me to lift on my own. Hell, my 1911 is too heavy to lift with one hand anymore1 point

I’d 100% spend some reasonable amount of time trying to get RIA to fix to replace that. I feel confident it can be remedied at home but I’d make them try it first1 point

Short answer No, in the 90's a Nashville Gun manufacturing shop got a contract for the from the Federal Prison System to make a special 870 for them (Scattergun Technology) Remington shipped them 870 Magnum and Police Magnums. They would then refinish the gun put on slug sights and anything else requested. Ten or so years later Remington figured we can do the same thing here and cut out middleman and in meantime S T sold out to Wilson, Wilson went on to sue S T because they fudged how many orders they had at time of sale. Wilson went after the civi market with it. I have had both and would take the Remington Factory over Wilson. Fist you get the original finish not the Wilson aftermarket finish. Couple options Buy a Police 870 off GT in Chattannoga or Gunbroker or get a well used 870 and send it to Wilson -see Wilson Steal on their website and for $200-300 returned you have a Wilson. Older Police 870's were marked Magnum then Police Magnum and now Police. They sell only to Police Distributors but you can find new or used ones on the market.1 point
