It’s easy to stop worrying about COVID, just turn the dang TV off. You can’t go 5 minutes without hearing all the facts about it whether they are true or not. Let me know if I can do anything for you.6 points

I have been directly exposed to several family members that had tested positive-nothing to report here- My Dad is 89 years old and was admitted to a Northern Michigan hospital with a severely low heart rate-they decided to install a pacemaker-before they did anything they tested for Covid-lo and behold he was positive-never knew he was even sick-Probably because he wasn't- Doesn't pay to worry about things that could be-5 points

If you ain’t sick, you ain’t sick. Turn off the tv and get on with your life. If you get sick, seek medical treatment.3 points

If you're sick, seek treatment sooner rather than later. If you're not sick, don't stress about it.3 points

If you don't feel sick why get tested? Unless work requires it due to exposure. My office was doing that at first but we stopped that many months ago. I think I had 4 test before we swapped to if you feel sick get tested method.3 points

Brand New Mossberg 12 Gauge Persuader Shotgun. 20 inch 8 shot. Has Bead Sight, Heatshield, Bayonet Lug, Sling Attachments, and comes with a factory pistol grip still sealed up in the bag. Comes with the factory box and everything it came with from the factory. I ordered this gun new about a year ago and tucked it away and forgot about it. Never fired. Only reason for selling is because I have 3 NIB riot guns and thought I probably don't need that many. Located in Lenoir City. $5252 points

It's worth calling your local Publix pharmacy to see if they have tests in stock - most of them here in Nashville do. I expect Bartlett is similar. For $20, it might give you some peace of mind if you're worried about it. For what it's worth, the rapid tests are a good indicator of contagiousness with Omicron. A PCR test (the one you're going to get on Monday) will pick up before you're contagious - and can also still indicate on a tail after you're contagious. But, the rapid antigen test roughly lines up with the contagious period. All that to say - if you were exposed on Christmas Day - you're now on Day 4 - which is right in the 3-5 day window of best testing. It won't hurt to wait a day or so, either. You're vaccinated and boosted - so you can have some peace of mind. This omicron variant is quite contagious. I know a bunch of folks right now who've been so careful for all this time and are testing positive now. For all of them, it's been quite mild. Happy to chat if I can help.2 points

I'm hoping it is just a waste of my time. However, there have been reports of people having this #### and never showing any symptoms at all. But they can still spread it. I'm not going to take the chance that I may be one of those spreaders. I want to get tested so that I know. Besides, its only been a few days since Christmas. I might still get sick. The young lady I was exposed to is in the hospital. I don't have any details as of yet, so I'm not risking it.2 points

The vaccines aren't 100% effective. Especially against Omicron. I don't think I'll get bad sick or require hospitalization. Its just annoying. My real concern is that I might spread it to others. Can't get tested until Monday, Probably won't know the results until next Wednesday. So I'm just gonna go into hiding for now. I usually don't go much of anywhere anyway. But still, it pisses me off to be forced to have to stay home. Oh well, all I can really do is wait to see how it plays out.2 points

I don't think he has a "problem with it" as much as he questions their marketing , R&R & decision making. IOW, the $$ they spent would've been much better spent on a different gun. For the record, I agree, it's a bonehead decision. This gun does NOTHING a 100 other models don't or won't do. Not to mention, whom are its top competitors? Glock, H&K, Sig & CZ. That's tantamount to launching a new truck in the 1500lb class to compete with the F150, GM 1500, Dodge1500, Toyota Tundra & Nissan Titan. Who would be stupid enough to do that? Answer: no one, they know better. Personally, I think Savage would've sold a ton if they'd come out with a .22LR semi pistol to compete within that niche. But they didn't ask me.2 points

I told them while I was there, they should build a limited run of Model 99s, to go with the nostalgia reproductions we've seen somewhat recently.2 points

99 Savage? Why those don’t work anymore. You need a magnum or a 6.5 Manbun to penetrate the tough hide of a southern whitetail. The 300 Savage is probably the most perfect cartridge for deer hunting in Tennessee.2 points

Scag makes a nice mower. I went with an Exmark 36" walkbehind for my place because I was familiar with that model. GLWS.2 points

Not really.... Embedded in every photo your phone takes is a bit of info called "EXIF data". It includes your cell number, gps coordinates, phone serial number and all sorts of other nifty (useful) information. There are apps and services on the web that will remove it, but I've been told even then there is still some info accessible to the right people. Yep, reason 12,579 I have a tinfoil hat. They don't tell you about how they're tracking you (unless they get caught), and even try to stop you from preventing it. Nothing says 'trust me' quite like that.2 points

Hi all, I guess that's the price you pay for convenience. According to the TWRA web site (Tag Before You Drag,) you don't have to use the app. However, if you don't, you are required to use a temporary transport tag and report the harvest on the TWRA website or go to a physical check station. So if you are truly concerned about being tracked, do the old physical process. Just my dos centavos. Ed2 points

There are a lot of better rifles out there at the price point they sell the Saints at. From my 5 years at the gun counter I have realized most people have no clue what they are buying. Most people do no research when purchasing a firearm, just amazes me.1 point

That's due to a too weak recoil spring coupled with a not-strong-enough-steel screws, IMO. Not necessarily the gun's fault. I really don't get the M&P fan club. Their triggers are underwhelming, their accuracy is average (as are Glocks) & the ergos are run-of-the-mill, IMO. I get not everyone likes the same thing & so forth. But there seems to be a lot better choices, IMO.1 point

Best wishes for nuttin to happen. Hope you don't feel bad, get sick, etc. You might want to reconsider getting tested, especially if you don't feel bad, etc., come next Monday. Could be a waste of your time.1 point

I have owned a Savage 1907 and a 1917 in the past. If they do bring them back, I certainly hope they do update them. While they are classic pistols and feel great in your hand, they are a PITA to take apart, have a horrible trigger and are very difficult to shoot well. That's why I no longer have them.1 point

Yep, they have a few https://www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-manufacturer/sears/shotguns-sears/200-sears1 point

Killed it with a Savage 99e .300savage to boot . Folded like a wet dishrag. I thought about making a post about how continually impressed I am by the .300 savage round. Wish it was more popular so I could find more ammo1 point

I know what you are talking about Magic. I have had Van Winkle and it is good but not $1,000 plus a bottle good. If some of the bottles in my cabinet had not been opened i would be sitting good. A first run bottle of Yamazaki, first run bottle of Crystal Skull Vodka and a few others. None of which I thought were that good. No refined pallet here just know what I like and lately it has been one suggested by the local liquor store. Basil Hayden's Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Thanks Lumbar_Jack for the heads up on marketplace. Down side is I don't do any social media other than a few forums. Verne D.1 point

Sorry to hear that. Always enjoyed drooling over his collection and listening to him talk about what he had. He always had stuff you only see in books.1 point

Well, they must think my yard is a deer haven, as that's where I check mine in at for the past upteen years.. Actually this year it was shot from the backyard, of course he was standing about 100 yds. due north on the farm next door. But I've had permission to hunt it for some 20+ years now. RP1 point

I own both the PMR & CMR-30. First off, ALL barrels are "steel". Not sure what he told you but they're steel from the factory. The Kel-Tecs need to have 40gr ammo for them to run correctly. The lighter bullets have a different nose profile & length, they just won't feed correctly. Once I got this figured out, mine run like a champ. A drop of oil on the feed ramp doesn't hurt either. There always seems to be a common denominator in such heated situations. Two guys being played by the object of dispute. There are plenty of fish in the sea. No need lose your mind, and life, over a temporary “relationship”.1 point

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. Unless it is a structured setting like a professional match or even a martial arts class setting, there are zero winners when grown men fight. It’s always a losing proposition for everyone.1 point
