  1. It's entertaining to see the scorn that is being heaped on Baldwin about this. I had some sympathy for the guy earlier -- it's awful for anyone to bear the moral weight of having accidentally killed an innocent person -- but he's such a lying weasel that now I'm simply disgusted. That said, there are others on the set that day who also need to face charges.

  2. The level of stupidity required to accept the premise that an inert inanimate object spontaneously acted on its own behalf defies comprehension. Judge should throw the book at him during opening arguments. Guns don't just 'go off'. Honestly, if he were to get off on these charges, it would do more damage to gun rights than anything. You will have legally enshrined via case law responsibility to a chunk of metal, not the individual manipulating it. Baffles the mind that there are people stupid enough to accept this premise (and they get to vote!)

  3. Kids should go outside and play. Kids should give/take an azzwhoopin as needed. It’s all part of growing up and learning to deal with people. Deny your kids this and there will be consequences. School faculty who subscribe to the “zero tolerance policy” should be horse whipped and fired. This is typical union laziness and lack of accountability. Usually, when there is a fist fight at school, only only one of the two participants deserves to get punished. A boy needs a father. A boy needs a dog. To grow up without either isn’t good at all.

  4. Absolutely mint older Anschutz 1517, with heavy barrel. Accuracy is wowza! Comes with Weaver 4x16x42 with A.O, and 100 rounds of Hornady 17gr V-Max, already sighted in. I bought this new about 20 years ago. I'm going to call round count at less than 200. $950

  5. He said in interview that he pulled the hammer back a little and was asking, "Is this enough?, Is this enough?" No finger on trigger. I assume he's claiming it was practice for a close up shot. He also said it was supposed to be empty. No dummies nothing. To me trigger squeeze or hammer release would not make any difference in the trial unless prosecution is suggesting some sort of premeditated murder but... If he let go before it cocked couldn't it fire? No internal safety on old single actions correct? That's why you carry with an empty cylinder I thought.

  6. Nope! They've had their own since they've been big enough to shoot one. Raising a normal kid ain't really that hard if you're willing to put a bit of time and effort in it.

  7. I’ve been against the death penalty for years for multiple reasons. The experience isn’t that new and my statements were directed specifically at Binger and Krause. I’ve long understood that prosecutorial misconduct is much more common that folks like to admit. This was just a glaring and blatant example.

  9. Do your diligence before you mess with D8. Look at the process used to make it and decide if that is right for you. Personally, I don't want to put anything in my body that is made by soaking a natural product in acid to turn it into something else. In my opinion the only benefit of D8 over regular marijuana is that I can walk into any "CBD shop" and get all the D8 I want.

  11. I have said many times that these kids that stay locked up playing these shootem up video games lose their perception about real guns. I think the video games play a very big part in school shootings, that and an applied paddle on their butts!! No time outs boys or girls!!

  12. Alec Baldwin, not unlike much of the Hollywood crowd, is a worthless, self serving POS. No matter what you see or hear, do not lose sight of this little fact.

  13. Anybody with even a basic understanding of single action revolvers knows that there are only a couple of ways Baldwin didn't pull the trigger on purpose. First is the gun is defective and the hammer either didn't lock or slipped the sear. Second would be if Baldwin already had the trigger pulled back with his finger on it but didn't realize it when he cocked the gun. Thereby slip firing the gun when he released the hammer. If his thumb had slipped while cocking, the half cock/loading notch should have caught the hammer. But no matter how it happened, the gun had to be manually cocked intentionally. And none of this excuses Baldwin of not checking the gun to begin with. Baldwin is trying hard to play the victim here. That ain't gonna fly.

  16. Savage 12 long range precision rifle. Probably has a couple of thousand rounds thru the pipe but still shoots a tight group. It’s only been fired from a bench. 6.5 creedmoor with 26” fluted barrel and the red trigger. I’ve enjoyed it but no longer have a need for it. Buyer to meet with seller in the Mt. Juliet, Hermitage area unless other arrangements are agreed on before purchase. $900.00 cash to a Tennessee resident only. I would consider trades for high end 22lr rifles.

  17. Or maybe more accurately, happy adoption day. Bought my 2006 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4WD 15 years ago today. It may throw a rod tomorrow, but four sets of tires and 32 oil changes later, it’s the best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

  18. The West Memphis Three case did it for me. If there isnt like concrete multiple methods of confirmation I just dont see the death penalty as being a moral method of punishment. Obviously some cases are different.

  21. Hope you are a Doctor free shortly. Right, load to rifle. Sounds like your rifle is throated out for the heavier bullets. Also, check that twist. A slow twist could be spoiling your best efforts. A notable of a bygone era said the 257 Roberts was the most useful caliber ever designed. Good luck and best wishes. Stay safe.

  22. One just cannot believe, but about half of what you see in the news guys. Not enough info on the parents being charged. Not against the law to not have a gun locked up in TN. Much too early to jump to judgment on this matter. Certainty the school shooting is very bad.

  23. I use a topical pain lotion compounded by a pharmacy in Smyrna. The lotion contains Ketamine, Lidocaine, and Pentocaine. The plus side is that since it is topical then the drugs do not get into your blood system like oral medications; however, you can still overdose if you try hard enough. You must first search for a compounding pharmacy in your area, (unless you want to drive to Smyrna. Then get your PCP to call in the prescription. Insurance does NOT pay for it, and cash price is around $275 IIRC, but it's 4 bottles that I only use maybe 1 per year. I use it locally and along my spine to block pain at the spine. The stuff doesn't reach too deep although it helps my shoulder out when it's hurting. It really knocks out pain in my hands and wrists. A friend of mine uses it for upper back and neck pain and loves it. I hope this helps, but you need to get off the NSAIDs. They are NOT doing your kidneys any good.

  25. Exactly my point. If he gets off on the charge with this excuse, it sets a legal precedent and will be referenced ad nauseum. Nobody will be responsible any longer. Sounds about right for libtards.

  26. Getting deer on public land happens pretty often but a big hog on public land is rare and kind of a treasure that seldom happens.

  27. Baldwin stated "I would never point a gun at a person and pull the trigger". Pretty sure the rule is, "we don't ever point a gun at a person". Period.

  28. On a SA revolver, especially a Colt copy, there is no safety. The gun can fire if dropped or other hard strike to the back of the hammer. This is why there has always been the practice of carrying them with only 5 rounds and the hammer resting on an empty chamber. However, there has never been any claim of the gun falling or being hit. AFAIK only Ruger uses a transfer bar action. Baldwin was using a Pietta SA which is an exact copy of the Colt Single Action Army. The hammer has to be partially cocked to load or unload. This is the purpose of the half cock notch in the hammer. By setting the hammer in the half cock position, the cylinder is free to spin. The half cock engages with very little backward motion of the hammer. Maybe a 1/4 inch or so. if the hammer should slip before half cock, it shouldn't have enough power to fire a cartridge. If the hammer should slip at some point beyond half cock, the half cock notch should catch it if the trigger is at rest. But not if the trigger is pulled. There is a method called slip firing where the gun is fired by holding the trigger back, cocking the hammer and just letting the thumb slip off. Its been a while since I've owned a SA revolver. I don't think a hammer fall before half cock could set off a primer, but I can't absolutely swear to it. Any current Colt style SA owners care to offer their opinion? I didn't watch the interview. Did Baldwin say if his thumb slipped off the hammer at any time? I don't recall him saying so in the past. But again, it doesn't excuse him from not checking the gun himself.

  29. Just my two cents. You need to be here in Tennessee with the owner of the fence company on your property and have him explain what’s going on.

  30. On an old revolver you are correct no internal safety, however modern single actions have a bar that has to be pulled up or pushed up with the pull of the trigger to allow the hammer to strike the fireing pin.

  34. I used Remington bolt actions rifles exclusively when hunting deer in Missouri when younger and some years we hunted in the rain. I glass bedded my wood stock bolt rifles with Accu-glas gel and freefloated the barrel. This was before synthetic stocks were popular. The last step I used was to seal barrel channel of stock with several light coats of Truoil. I never had any wood warpage that affected accuracy that was noticed. While the temps in MO might not compare to Alaska we had some years it was extremely cold and wet.

  35. My 2 cents worth. He's gonna try and hang all the blame on the young lady armorer. Now with his director buddy backing up Baldwin's "I didn't pull the trigger" tale, it's almost a given! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

  36. I've carried mine in the woods a few times (I'm DYING to smack a pig with a cast 510gn bullet) but have yet to put the metal to the meat. I did have to fabricate a new, slightly taller front sight to get on the paper at 100yds with my load (1090fps) & you're right about the trigger. Pull weight HAS to be close to 15lb & it has a week's worth of creep, but it'll stay inside 3" at 100yds & that's plenty good enough for me!

  40. Thanks for the stereotype. Society has removed many of the stress outlets for kids. They don't get into fist fights at recess or after school because fighting is wrong. Conflict resolution isn't taught anywhere. Instead it seems to be better to bottle up all that angst until it burns them up from the inside or explodes.
