I do both. I tweak rifle loads to try and get the smallest groups possible. As I am not a great pistol shot, o.k. Is good enough, so I load for volume. Mixed range brass and plated bullets are the order of the day. I’m glad reloading offers this flexibility.3 points

Don’t blame Brownell’s. If I’m not mistaken Tennessee was a leader in getting online sales taxes enacted.2 points

Man, I’ve said thst to my wife many times. It amazes me that more accidents aren’t caused by those super bight lights at night. I know I can barely see around them. Very dangerous.1 point

Eh, not really. One's background has a lot to do with that, IMO. If a person has a lot of arrests (never mind convictions), then they're probably shady. But the average Joe Bob who trades in a hot gun doesn't get much more than an interview to see where he got it from. The gun is then confiscated & if the guy passes the smell test, he's on his way. I once had a dealer who had a NIB Ruger sell at a gun show. When the TICS check was ran, the gun popped up as stolen. We guessed something in the S/N got transposed as the gun was direct from a wholesale distributor. He lost the gun, never got his $$ back. For those whom may remember her, Bob Pope's long time assistant Tammie bought a .222mag rifle at a show, doing a private sale. She traded it in years later to The Gun Crew & it came up as stolen. She knew the guy well who sold it to her & she was pretty shocked about it. She lost the gun as well.1 point

Could have been closing time for the sporting goods department. Rittenhouse trial has jack to do with it for sure.1 point

Could've been a store transfer, could've been an audit, could've been a lot of things. I doubt the trial had zip to do with it.1 point

Make you smile when you shoot it? Make you think about that at one time the HP was THE most mil issued handgun in the world? Restore some of your soul with shooting an all-metal gun over a polymer one? I've never known Browning to be a company who listens & responds to their customers. I could be wrong on this, but that's coming from a huge Browning fan (me). They currently make nothing larger in caliber than .380acp, which is sad. With just a few tweaks (mag capacity for starters), they could've kept the HP in play & in production with any of the full-sized pistols, IMO. They could've gone the route blazed by Sig with their P-226, a full-sized pistol which is still selling nicely with models such as their Tac Ops. Many shooters, including myself, believe the HP is THE best looking pistol ever made. With a good barrel, they were also among THE most accurate. Yet Browning managed to piss all of that away somehow. They must've hired some former Remington exec's or something?1 point

add in I have seen people asking $1 each and more for LRP and LPP. it will get better but we will never get back to pre 2019 prices.1 point

Definitely not a blame thing, just a FYI / notification for those that may not have known. Just like I being the one to dropped the notice about GB, same reason. TN was one of the last for them to implement (later also for GB). It was a good run. All these are rooted in the Wayfair Supreme Court case that the vast majority of states supported getting the prior ruling overturned which exempted online purchases in the absence of a physical presence in a given state. Like said, it was a matter of time.1 point

I work in Nashville, no shipping required, thanks for the reloads, I will break them down for the compensates. Again I will wait 7 days for any one else that "needs ammo".1 point

Sure RED. I'm happy to ship to you as well if we can't meet up locally across our schedules. Just remembered that was part of the rules for this I've also got some 30-06 rounds that were gifted to me by a reloader when we were doing a different transaction. I'm happy to include that so you can pull it for the bullets/brass if you'd like.1 point

Yep. There was a time in my life when that name would have had my complete attention. Thank God I'm past that now.1 point

If you do decide to replace the barrel, I highly suggest checking out the match barrels from BHSpringSolutions. They’re the go to folks for upgrades and aftermarket parts for the BHP. While you’re there, give their trigger for the BHP a gander. It’s got a different design that makes it much more closely resemble Browning’s original design and gives it more of a straight rearwaRd pull as is standard in a Browning handgun design.1 point

I’d think you would be better off with a faster powder in a fixed barrel blowback action pistol. Not clays or #2 fast but titegroup to #5 range.1 point

Yep, getting caught with a stolen firearm would really mess up your day.1 point

My Boss has a policy about no service calls made to a strip club. I get a kick telling him I made a call the the local club, screws holding the pole came loose. In my younger years spanking a females, well never mind.1 point

Do as we say....NOT as we do. I dont miss that place in the least! Actually its more of a defacto ban in that they added a requirement that for new roster adds to have microstamping of cases (for most pistols), the exorbitant testing fee was more smoke and mirrors to detract from what was really going on. Adding a tech they knew did not exist and their advisors told them (at the time) would not really be feasible anytime in the near future. Ca typical and obvious long game march to ban all firearms eventually, like the AW ban. Though instead of no longer allowing a gun to pass hands and dying with the owner, they relied on manufacturers to stop making legacy models in the hope one day the entire roster would not be in production. CA loved companies like Glock. Glock just said, no, we can keep cranking out the Gen 3 along with whatever Gen we are on. We love those CA dollars. Great to see some move for the FN. I like my 509 quite a bit.1 point

I hope everyone involved is ok, but you touch upon something important here. The newer LED style lights that have come into use definitely increase visibility during the daytime and that is great for increasing safety then. At night they are blindingly bright. To the point of being dangerous in my opinion. That “deer in the headlights” phenomenon you mentioned is real. I find them to be so painfully bright that I often have been forced to look away from the forward view and just watch the road line on the opposite side of where the car is. It prevents me from being able to maintain full and complete view of the road. When I’m at the wheel of 80k pounds of vehicle, this is extremely dangerous for everyone involved. Those lights need a nighttime setting.1 point

My magazines are stamped Made in Italy. Look to be mec gar mags with the springfield logo engraved on them. I recieved my gun Friday, Its definitely worth the msrp, I would have waited had i not got in early before the crazy price war. I cleaned it and ran 2 magazines of 147 gr speer lawman through it, very accurate, smooth shooting gun. Trigger pull measured 4.5 pounds, crisp break. sights are good, pistol felt well balanced and typical springfield good fit and finish. Im very happy with this gun and am on the list for another one, but i wont overpay for it. I'll put more rounds through it this week, been super busy the last few days. Pics i have are too big to attach, but it really is a very nice weapon.1 point

I shot some 185 gr. XTP loads today loaded with 8.0 gr. Unique and got very rounded primers and black soot on the cases. I'm pretty sure they are on the mild side. I didn't have my chronograph set up, so don't know what they were moving along at.1 point

Win 231, have had good luck with it so I stuck with that. 200 to 255 gr. Charge weight runs the gamut between 4 and 4.6 gr, depending on whats getting loaded.1 point

The most obvious question is: Do you think that they knew the vaccine would be useless at the time of administration? Do you think there's a possibility that they figured the risk versus reward warranted the vaccine? Did he get the less effective vaccine which would have been weakened further by his condition? There are numerous variables to consider which is why a discussion with your doctor is recommended rather than a discussion with some unknown chump/quack on the Internet.1 point

Bill Ruger's been dead for almost 20 years, so his political views aren't really a serious concern. Though, like many dead people, he's probably a Biden voter.0 points
