  1. Fact Check: Wife got vax. Wife got Covid. Wife was very sick. I didn't get vax. I got covid. I didn't get very sick, Vax does not prevent infection. Vax does not guarantee survival, Vax needs "booster". Mrs is back to work finally. I work from home and never missed a day, Yes, mandates infringe on your right of free choice by definition. I am smart enough to ask my doctor about what I do or do not need, Thanks for calling me stupid for being able to think. I am not disappointed either.

  2. If they educated themselves with guns there would be less anti-gun people and many that claim to be anti-gun people own guns now but don't want other people to have them. Pray-tell I would be afraid to guess how many guns are inside that bubble you speak of.......JMHO

  3. Anti-gun Hollywood types are in a bubble and have demonized gun owners, the NRA and anyone who has knowledge that would have prevented this. They in fact have, (dare I say), CANCELLED them. Insulating yourself from people who you disagree with can be fatal. If you have avoided guns and people who use them all your life maybe you should take a moment and educate yourself before you play act with them.

  4. I pick up a gun at a gun show and point it at someone and pull the trigger and the gun fires and kills the person, 3 guesses who is going to jail, first 2 guesses do not count. Same same here, it is the person holding the firearm when it goes bang that is responsible.

  5. I have a friend who has one of these beautiful dogs. He says it like having a full time job to keep him occupied. He said it was like his swimming pool. Too much work, too much money and he’ll never own either one again. I love watching them work. We picked up an Australian terrier from our local pound. She is always by my wife’s side. She’s smaller but thinks she owns everything outside of our house and let you know if anyone is nearby. If you want to play, she will fetch a ball or catch a frisbee till your arm falls off. good luck finding what you’re looking for.

  6. My understanding is that they were filming a shot where he pointed the gun at camera and fired a shot. I thinking close up of the pistol firing. She and the Assistant Director or whatever the other person was, were behind the camera. I bet round ricochetted off the camera and hit her and the parts of the camera hit him. A live round was probably left in the chamber after they spent the morning "plinking". Firearms were placed in the gun cart and then everyone went to lunch. When they came back, the assistant director, picked up the pistol and handed to Baldwin and they proceeded to shoot the scene. Sounds like absolutely no one bothered to check the chamber.

  7. Or they could come up with safety processes and follow them. A gun is one of many lethal things that can be on a movie set. Banning something to protect idiots is so... California

  10. First time my daughter shot a handgun. She shot one of my S&W Victory 22s and also my Glock 45. I think she did awesome for her first time. She listened and applied the shooting techniques i told her. She only missed once, and that was at the smaller number 2 target area in the upper right. I reckon she stopped this bad guy!

  11. Just a reminder to those who have older cell phones or information for those who haven't heard about this. Mobile carriers are shutting down their 3G networks, which rely on older technology, to make room for more advanced network services, including 5G. As a result, many older cell phones will be unable to make or receive calls and texts, including calls to 911, or use data services. This will affect 3G mobile phones and certain older 4G mobile phones that do not support Voice over LTE (VoLTE or HD Voice). As early as January 1, 2022, though plans and timing to phase out 3G services will vary by company and may change. Consult your mobile provider’s website for the most up-to-date information. AT&T announced that it will finish shutting down its 3G network by February 2022. Verizon announced that will finish shutting down its 3G network by December 31, 2022. T-Mobile announced that it will finish shutting down Sprint's 3G network by January 1, 2022 and Sprint's LTE network by June 30, 2022. It also plans to shut down T-Mobile's 2G and 3G networks, but has not yet announced a date. https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/plan-ahead-phase-out-3g-cellular-networks-and-service

  12. Malagators need a job and plenty of exercise. You don't want the dog to get bored. They can be great companions but they need training. If you want a dog to hang out with and bark at strangers, a mutt from the shelter will do that fine. A friend trains them for various things.... http://fdk9tn.com/

  13. Well during the investigation it seems the crew had gone out that morning and use the firearm to shoot with. Then it was laid on the cart with all the other firearms, nobody knows how live round got put in it, why the hell would Baldwin point a firearm at somebody and pull the trigger. I am telling y’all, you just can’t fix stupid.

  16. I recently acquired a family collection that includes a Kentucky long rifle and I’m fascinated with the prospect of firing it. On the practical side, I don’t know if it might have a powder charge loaded. The mechanism is dated 1838 and has some corrosion. Does anyone know a gunsmith knowledgeable enough to check it out? Finding a gunsmith is proving a challenge in Knoxville. I know it’s a longshot- almost 200 years old.

  17. I've got a mal mix(we think). Even the vet isn't sure. I doubt I'll ever have a better dog. He definitely didn't get the hyper gene though. He loves to go hiking but is also fine sleeping all day. I wouldn't get a pure bred Mal unless I was retired and needed a full time hobby. Someone once said they knew a mal that would eat plants because he hated they were alive. As a puppy Gunner looked like this(last picture). We were convinced he was a Mal. Then he got older and turned into a handsome gray bearded mutt. Definitely has a Pitt shaped head. Unfortunately, he's got stage IV kidney disease so we're spoiling the hell out of him everyday. He's been the best dog I could ask for. Mean mugging...

  18. Her entire purpose for being on the set was to take care of the gun(s). Nothing else. Not to stock toilet paper, not to provide security, not to taste the food. It was to KEEP THE GUN(S) SAFE! She failed miserably. Not only did she allow them to get out of her immediate control, she failed to check them when they returned. She's either stupid or was sleeping with someone in order to get that job. Either way, she IS criminally responsible of a certain %. That's where the courts will determine what's what.

  19. Here's Branca's analysis. He's saying involuntary manslaughter based on New Mexico law. I can't find anything wrong with this. Biggest point is that the four rules for firearms safety were Baldwin's responsibility by law. Long but worth it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVZWVDgErpE

  20. This may not be the right dog for you. Mals are extremely high energy and high drive. They need constant activity and stimulation. They are working dogs. They need plenty to do or you will POTENTIALLY have your yard and belongings destroyed depending upon the amount of training you dog has.

  21. They are all a bunch of hypocrites too. You can bet that a whole bunch of them are gun owners. And let's not forget that their security has, and always will, carry guns to protect their sorry asses.

  22. According to the police report the bullet passed through the woman and into the man. I guess that is the fault of the armorer mostly because she is responsible for making sure she keeps her eye on the firearms at all times and she should not have let anyone to take a gun from her possession to go out and play with it and go target shooting. She told them when they said they wanted her to work the movie, she said up front she didn't know if she was ready to do that job and they hired her anyway. They said she was no where to be found when the fatal shot was fired. I would also think that the armorer had cleared the gun when she placed it on the cart before they went plinking but don't know that for sure....JMHO

  24. I have more than a few smoke poles. If the inside of the barrel looks as bad as the lock, I would hang it on a wall after I wiped some oil on the metal you can see. The issue with BP is after it is fired it is very corrosive and will rust the metal. If it has been Neglected for more than a few months or years it may not be worth trying to clean up. How about some pics of the whole rifle? Try to get close-ups of the muzzle end.

  27. Does anybody know, why are movie guns that fire blanks, not made in a way to only accept blank cartridges? Why isn't there a special caliber just for blanks that all prop guns use? Or make the blanks in such a way that only they can fit in the chamber. Seems like a better solution to this kind of problem. Only reason I can think of is its just easier to go down to the local gun store and get whatever you need, but in a movie with a several million dollar budget, that excuse shouldn't fly. There ought to be a law.

  28. Neither is a HiPower for that matter. The Springfield SA 35 is not going to be a striker gun. It is a true HiPower clone. As long as the quality is on par with their 1911s, it’s also 100% a home run. For those wanting one, I know who GTD has as first on the list as he has already paid for it. I’m first on the list at my lgs for the first one they get. Hopefully, it won’t take too long for them to ship, but if you want one, I’d be getting with your lgs quick as like I said, this gun is a home run and demand is obviously high.

  34. Being a former Marine I was very excited to see Full Metal Jacket, (I got discharged the year before the movie was released). I took my wife to go see the movie and embarrassed her because I was laughing out loud during the boot camp scenes, and I was the only one laughing in the theater. I was laughing because it was so realistic to what real Marine Corps boot camp actually is and how the audience was reacting to it. It was mostly due to GSgt Ermey's lines. I had heard that he was hired to be a technical advisor on the movie, but the actor hired for the Drill Instructor part just couldn't get the part right so they hired Ermey to play it instead. Dale Dye is another former Marine turned technical advisor then to actor.

After all, the majority of their weapons were going to be discarded quickly, thrown into the mud as their soldiers threw up their hands and surrendered to the first enemy combatants they faced ...
