  1. Looks like they don't need any more of my money.

  2. Than moving a 400lb gun safe by yourself? I had help getting it onto the trailer but after that it was ALL me. Unloading, standing it up & moving it around the garage all by myself. At 63, I'm TOO old for this crap anymore! Having said all that, I did get it done. Never again!

  3. Seasoned with time and experience. Salt and pepper just stayed on my hair, as far as the Cajun... let's just say that only appears when required. I may be a dinosaur but I'm not a fossil yet. Good going Bob.!

  4. Once it’s upright and you have to move it on a flat floor, use a handful of golf balls underneath and you can move it by yourself. Just tip it a bit and roll the balls under. On carpet it keeps you from wading the carpet up. It just rolls. I have moved my 48 gun safe by myself twice. I’m 64 youngin’. Move is another 4 letter word!

  5. Makes me wonder..... If you showed up in person to collect it, would you then be immediately arrested for being in possession of an unregistered (by NY law) handgun?

  6. I have stopped donating too. But, we don't need to be wishing for their demise. Chasing Wayne off is a whole lot different than Latisha using the State of New York to destroy the NRA. Piss on that woman, and all her friends. She doesn't hate Wayne. She hates ME.

  9. I’m Pro Good Cop. These morons even said on body cam that they were hunting people. I’m surprised the group guarding the store didn’t blow them away. Im glad it turned out like it did. Nobody got killed and the good guys didn’t die. I’m glad the cops weren’t harmed but hope they learned a big lesson but they probably didn’t and will all be promoted. Its getting crazy out there folks.

  10. Agreed. I side with the police most of the time. Mistakes happen, but this is bad. I honestly don't have a problem with them hitting antifa, but shooting at random people walking down the street is outrageous.

  11. Concrete floor. I tried tipping it to use my 4-wheel furniture dolly (like I always do) & it just slid around on the concrete. I've heard of golf balls being used. Also larger wooden dowels. I've moved maybe a dozen safes in my lifetime, I've learned what NOT to do with them.

  12. NOW you tell me............................... I asked three different guys for help. All three gave some lame assed excuse to not help. Needless to say, I'm going to remember this for the rest of my life. But thanks for the offer though, I do appreciate it.

  13. Not enough information for me to give an opinion.

  14. As a former LEO, a vast majority of the officers that I knew only shot their guns during qualification or during an organized training. Sad but true.

  16. We are fortunate to have some good police officers who are actually shooting enthusiasts and therefore earnest students of the gun here on TGO. But, that is far from the norm. I listen to what 90% of police officers have to say about their gun about as much as I listen to what 90% of car salesmen want to tell me about their cars. I generally know more than them, so that's not where I go for advice or were I look for information on how to wring out performance from a gun or car.

  21. Yeah, i'd say its easier to conceal than the 19 due to reduced size. I don't really notice the weight. I have both a leather OWB and a kydex OWB that I carry it in. Now full disclosure I work outside and concealment isn't a huge concern on most days. But I think with proper clothing the OWB kydex is a great edc option with reasonable concealment.

  22. I’d stick to Glock. Since you already have a 20. Glock really is the best option out there for 10 mil. I’m a 1911 fan, but don’t care for the safety or the round count. I don’t personally care for the grip on an XD, and all the Sig options feel to big and heavy for what they are. Plus I like the low bore axis on the Glock, it really tames the 10mm recoil.

  24. Thank you for all the input. Sunday morning her husband came over with no shirt on I informed him I was just trying to sight a rifle in the day before he seemed very understanding. And around noon I proceeded to finishing sighting in the rifle fired a total of six shots over two days. She called the law shortly after and said I was setting explosives off. The deputy came informed they had reports of things blowing up and I took him around the property to show there was no explosions. He looked at my target and berm and told me I was 100% legal and was acting in a safe manner.

  25. I have some experience with these and two 48s and feel they are worthwhile. If you are the type to get a new gun and carry it without putting a couple hundred rounds through it first, I would avoid them. There are two generations of magazines, but I don’t think the gen 1 is available any more. They recommend a metal mag catch, whether you use theirs or someone else’s. I would use theirs. The early mag catches were aluminum and don’t seem to like gen 2 mags. My experience is that Gen 2 mags and the new steel mag catch used together are reliable and are all Shield now sells. Call them if you have any questions—they are very helpful.

  29. While I'm still in the [bad?] habit of acquiring and trying out different handguns, my EDC for the past year has been and likely will continue to be the exceptional Walther PDP Compact. That gun just has superb ergonomics all the way around. Excellent grip texture, excellent grip shape, adaptable grip size, ambidextrous controls and a mag release that was designed so that you could manipulate it without breaking your grip. I could go on and on, but the most compelling statement I could possibly make -- especially for those who know me -- is that it has succeeded in doing what none of the others before it could: It has supplanted the Glock 19 as my carry of choice. I kid you not.

  30. The Postal Service is being tight lipped and not giving out much info. Local news has learned that the victims were the manager (male) and a supervisor (female). Shooter was also an employee. Everything is pointing to a disgruntled employee who just snapped. No info as to just what or why he went over the edge.

Two of the largest hospitals in Northeast Ohio will now require their transplant candidates and living donors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. https://www.foxbusiness.com/healthcare/ohio-hospitals-covid-19-vaccinations-donors
