  1. Recovering. There’s really not much more to say than that.

  2. And also said that the Flu is not as contagious as this particular Coronavirus. https://www.healthline.com/health/r-naught-reproduction-number COVID ~ 5.7 Flu ~1-2.0 COVID ~3x more contagious Doing things such as social distancing and wearing masks will prevent the spread of an illness. The less contagious something is, the more effective those means will be. The more contagious a virus is, the more it will "succeed". Simple example that should be simple enough for everyone to understand. Imagine you have a virus called "one" and a virus called "ten". "One" will live on a surface and die after a single day. "Ten" will live on a surface and die after ten days. Which one is harder to eradicate? Which one will be "stronger" against measures such as cleaning, wearing masks, social distancing, etc?

  4. Quit eating margarine, y’all. That stuff is terrible for you.

  5. Eat butter, don't. Eat bacon, don't. Eat eggs, don't. This stuff changes with study grants.

  6. While I was in the Navy all we ever got was butter, no margarine. My wife tried for years to wean me off of it to no avail. She also tried to feed me that watered down crap called skim or 2% milk. No luck there either.

  7. My wife was passing by this store as it was happening and had just went in a day earlier. We’ve always known this would inevitably “hit home”, but it still made my skin crawl thinking about “what if”. She has however agreed to a new weapon and to attempt on body carry.

  8. .38 Special is looked down on all the time. Especially by 9mm shooters, and I'll admit there's good ammo for 9 available, and a lot of it does good. But, the .38 isn't dead by a long shot. I used to load and shoot a lot of it.

  10. Spoke with a couple of our reps, who actually did vote for this monster, but both said the Red-flag would be stripped in conference committee. The one who I trust the most said he had to vote Yea to get on the conference committee.

  12. Now, now, keep it civil. So, if the CCP shot takes care of the flu, why still need the flu shot? Why are they now studying the combined flu/ccp shot if one can do both?

  13. Basically, they have this China Virus figured out as "scientifically perfect" as they have the common flu. The vaccines for flu that are hit or miss, are just like the dang Covid vaccines.

  14. .38 Special is a great all around cartridge. I've loaded more of it than anything else. Next would be .357 Magnum. Both are very versatile.

  15. It must be nice to be able to indulge in things like this. On Aug. 27, the Colt Single Action Army revolver that Pat Garrett used in 1881 to put an end to Billy the Kid in the desert Southwest sold at auction for $6,030,313—the highest price paid for a civilian firearm at auction, perhaps any gun, in history. https://www.americanrifleman.org/content/pat-garrett-s-pistol-sells-for-highest-price-in-history/

  16. I’m all for replacing them with Memphis. Been wanting that for years. Problem is Vandy is one of the first SEC teams. A “founding member”. Maybe it’s tradition, but that doesn’t mean jack anymore in today’s society.

  17. Not at all. There may have been other people in the store that were armed at the time but the reality is most people do not carry a gun around. Even those who do I would not count on being the mythical “good guy with a gun”.

  18. I think that a Kroger worker or contractor was up on the roof which led some to possibly assume a second shooter. They showed a video clip of him on the local news from someone’s cell phone camera.

  19. We stopped eating margarine years ago when a friend did an experiment to prove to his wife that margarine wasn't good for you. He left a big gob of margarine on a piece of cardboard in his barn and after a couple of weeks it was still there and no signs anything touched it, not even bugs. Even mice knew it was poison. That doesn't prove butter is good for you just margarine isn't.

  20. prayers go out to your family. considering the new carry law does it strike anyone strange that no one else was packing? I maybe naively believed that more would do so. Events like this I show my wife as reason why I always carry. You just never know.

  28. The seasonal flu and SARS-2-CoV are completely different viruses. The vaccine for one will not affect the other. They’re studying whether they can combine vaccines into one shot - like the MMR or the Tdap vaccine.

  31. That's a K11. Wish I had one to go with my K31. I might be able to dig up a few rounds as well. GP11 is the good stuff, but PPU works fine too. I didn't realize ammo had gotten so scarce.

  32. Unfortunately, there seems to be NO actual credible source. The fact that there were almost no deaths attributed to flu last year makes me pretty sure that Uncle Sam is cooking the books. (I got my flu shot a couple days ago, btw, as I have every year for the past 4 decades.)

  43. How about the old 33/44 loads at 1200 fps? Also, how does the old FBI load fit in? There's another view of the best 38 Special loads not the worst. Unalloyed lead: I can cast hollow points of the Kieth SWC 358429 and or the Thompson bu;let with two crimping grooves 358156. Those are not may pop loads. These loads are good if one has a mixture of 38 and 357 revolvers around the homeplace. Loading 357 Mags rounds with the 358156 will keep one from having a bad day with N frame Smith's like my Model 28 in a household emergency. Don't dis the 38 Special loaded correctly.
