Some will say I'm being foolish...but I don't care. I know there are lovers of all God's wonderful creations here, and though it may be too late; I ask for a small prayer for the life of my very best friend and companion of 12 years...Molly. She's been having a few problems lately, and I won't go into them now. Let's just say we've devoted a lot of time and funds on her over the years, and I fear that her release from all this is near. It's been rough on her with injuries before. But the little trooper has never whined or cried out from her pain. Always a bright eye and a wagging tail for me at every moment. Well that's changed today. Molly hasn't moved unless absolutely forced to and has refused all forms of food, water, even her favorite...Greenies. That in and of itself doesn't sound all that bad, but coupled with the things I'm not saying...I'm extremely worried and fearful this afternoon. So if you could spare a moment for a prayer for her. Thank you brothers.3 points

Your dad needs the shot IMO. He's my age. Bring on the long term effects. There is NO evidence that the shot is more dangerous, or that it ISN'T. Hasn't been around long enough. But one thing's for sure. Most hospital workers are younger than 65. And when it comes to bull####, there's lots to go around. One of the biggest liars in this whole ordeal is your favorite cockwomble. I'm with DeSantis. Focus on the high risk people. If somebody younger like you wants to play it safe, have at it. I probably would too, just to keep the CNN viewers off my back.2 points

As the law currently sits, they are legal because they do require a separate pull of the trigger for each round fired. As far as how long, who knows. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯1 point

It's alarming because it's typical flawed logic. I'm high risk. I'm old, diabetic, and very depressed that a sweet old man has Alzheimer's. Vaccinating me was HIGHLY effective. Vaccinating a twenty-something, that could drink a whole bottle of Covid and go to work the next day, isn't going to have the same result. May even be counter-productive because of long term effects. I have decided to stop being alarmed about anything. The Tide Pods were just the appetizers.1 point

I've used a RCBS 505 scale for several years now, but I bought a cheapo 10" tablet to use as a viewer to make it easier to see the pointer and zero, eliminates the eye strain and parallax issues once you get it all set up. I've not found a reason to upgrade my 505 but congrats on the new scale.1 point

I finally got around to reading World War Z while on vacation last week. Besides zombies and Israel having a wall, the movie had zero in common with it.1 point

I will add that you won’t likely get gunbroker prices selling locally. You also won’t have to fool with scammers, shipping, fees, ffls, etc.1 point

In other news, the hospital system that my wife works for is trying to bribe the workers to get vaccinated by entering then into a drawing for $5,000. If that’s not alarming to anyone I don’t know what is. The majority of those that haven’t gotten vaccinated have either already had COVID, are currently pregnant or trying to get pregnant, or just young and/or healthy and not at high risk. Meanwhile they have not had a COVID patient in her hospital in a couple weeks.1 point

If you use Gunbroker go to the advanced search and only search the closed auctions. That way you can see what guns actually sold for, not what people are asking.1 point

I just don't get the whole distressed look. Why make a brand new gun look like it was drug behind a truck?1 point

I mean, id still shoot it :). I like some FDE and other earth tones on my guns, but for H&K, i just like plain black.1 point

We are beginning to get ready for our upcoming RV trip, with family, to the Grand Canyon/ Zion Nat Park, and surrounding area. Two of our daughters, and their families, will be going with us. One is driving out with us in their RV and the other is flying into Las Vegas and renting a car then driving to meet us in Grand Canyon Village at the Campground. Be 11 of us total. This will be a large trip as our family will be with us for 16 days, then leaving us out there. We, L/w will be going on from there, if we feel like it. Will probably try to leave St George UT, go to Salt Lake City then on across Idaho, and then onward across Oregon to the coast around Eugene and Coase Bay. Will then go to Northern Calif, Crescent City, to see the Redwood Nat Park. Then begin plotting our return trip to Middle TN. We have 5 or 6 weeks to make the trip. being advised the Parks are crowded this year as everyone seems to be shedding the Virus blues out of doors. A trip of a lifetime for me. Hope to stop and smell the roses along the way. We should be leaving on the 26th of June. This trip will most likely be our last big one as my age is creeping up on me.1 point

I'm glad you didn't. Though there's been several over the years that I've been glad someone else got before my resolve wore down. I carry mine when camping, hiking, doing scout activities, that sort of thing. I don't wear it at work.1 point

Absolutely. The 357 is the greatest handgun ever made, shoots 38 and 357, and made of steel and wood, just as God intended ...1 point

Everyone should have a .357 mag in their collection! Congratulations on getting a great one!1 point

No. The .357 Sig is a shortened and necked down 10mm case. You can't even neck down a .40 because the pressure is too high for the case head. It's also rimless like the .45acp. The .357 magnum and 38 spcl have rims.1 point

Yes, he's not too popular around here. However, that's been the case pretty much from the start. I also doubt that many members here were ever convinced of his credibility or truthfulness, long before any of the emails and other conversations became public ...1 point

There is absolutely no reason one should get too twisted over it as there is not a single thing whatsoever they can do about it.1 point

Fear sells. You won't find many good news articles, truth be damned. I wouldn't put much weight in that story. What's about to happen is the entire economy is about to crash. That'll make ammo available again.....if you have anything left to buy it with.1 point

That’s pathetic for a hospital with all the money they make. Memphis gave away a car!0 points

I don't think it's wise to get yer panties in a wad just yet. At this point it's all just a guess. And if you're the kind of shooter who runs to wallyworld the night before you go shooting I have just one word for you. Archery0 points
