  1. It's where the Jeep people go to break stuff. LBL is great, make a camping weekend out of it.

  2. What is a good, not too expensive AR 10? No such thing, ether pay good money and get a good rifle or go cheap and get cheap.

  3. Got a couple of Gepehart Flat Triggers for my Staccato P's and C2 DPO that I'm waitng to come in from where I ordered it from. I fit one of them to my Staccato P DPO, didn't have much trouble at all. Took about 20minutes to get it fit and polish up the bow by hand, put it all back together and it passes all the safety checks.

  5. I was going to tell you to head up to LBL. There’s a lot of cool stuff there in addition to atv trails. The only other one I’m aware of is up in East Tennessee. That would be quite a drive for you.

  6. Yea, I love Windrock as well. People that say the trails there are easy haven't been off the gravel trails too much. LOL. There are some very challenging trails there if you want 'em.

  8. Thanks Leroy. I’ve looked at his rigs before. I want a low ride like a “Drop Loop” or I guess sometimes called a Buscadero? It appears he doesn’t do those since he has a link on his website to someone that does, and appears to be in Corinth MS, actually closer to me than he is.

  9. If ya are into " period correct " leather and canvas goods, this ole boy here is your man... More than that, he resides in Bulls Gap, TN... An old and honored location in Tennessee. He has made several holsters for my Ruger SA vaqueros, belts, and ammo pouches... He is arrow straight, a great leather craftsman, and an all round good guy... Highly recommended... https://jm-leather.com/ leroy...

  12. A little more detail Started with history of the shotgun and context; military / law enforcement vs. how it is typically used by civilians. Extended safety discussion with photos...control your muzzle, control your finger and control yourself. Dry work to instill habits of running the slide, dummy rounds to practice loading to keep your giant J-frame running. @chances R is spot on with patterning your shotgun. Standard buckshot at 15+ yards really starts to spread, regardless of the brand of shotgun or ammo. The bestest buckshot for my 870 Tactical is Federal with the flight control was. For the students, we had them shoot one Federal at 15 yards. Every group was fist size with no obvious flyers. Everyone did well with hitting what they were aiming at, both statically and on the move. I mentioned keeping your giant J-frame loaded. Observing the students working out of pockets for the first time or a dump pouch, it is a slow process. A side saddle helps, but routine practice is still in order for smooth and speedy reloads. Last note, the length of pull on most shotguns is perfect for original design, hunting and tracking moving game. For self defense, a shorter length of pull is recommended. I chopped the original stock down on mine and added a limb saver. Made a huge difference. Gained the added benefit of making it easier to switch shoulders. Fun class, unless you hunt or sport with shotguns, they sit for years, dressed up, ready to go and can't get a date.

  15. I haven't put a large number of rounds thru my maverick but it has been reliable for it's intended use. If someone is foolish enough to break into my home it would likely be their last mistake. I'd like to find a used 870but the maverick accomplishes its tasks well.

  16. VICTORIA -- A Canadian army gunner is facing more than a dozen charges after she allegedly served cannabis-laced cupcakes to her unsuspecting artillery unit during a live-fire exercise.... https://vancouverisland.ctvnews.ca/canadian-soldier-charged-with-feeding-cannabis-cupcakes-to-artillery-unit-during-live-fire-exercise-1.5436410?utm_source=fark&utm_medium=website&utm_content=link&ICID=ref_fark

  17. Its like this..... The sores grow inside your molar gums near the roots so on one side of the face the top & bottom molars are feeling like they are in full blown absess. Then in the ear canal, there are sores or a sore that is pressing hard on the ear drum. Add to that, that side of the face has multiple sores erupting inside the skin that feel like you have burning gasoline from the nose to your ear. I ate numerous Tylenol #3's and they did nothing. I walked around all night untill the wife woke up at 7 and then told here I needed an ER visit. If pain killer on the level of Morphine did not exist. I had figured a single 45 round to the heart out in the yard would fix the problem leaving the 645 in locked open safe condition. I'm about 200 lbs and they started me out at 20mg Morphine every 20 minutes and gradually widened the time between IV line injection. I still have numb skin in patches from the corner of my mouth to my ear. Iv been told chest shingles is not as bad. I would tend to believe that. I'v read that if you have had face shingles, you have a higher percentage of getting a stroke. If my chances with that is like winning the lottery, I think I'll be fine there. I'm convinced it came about from from stress at work from mandatory 16 hour shifts that were hitting almost every day consecutively for a number of weeks. Short staff in a state prison really sucks!

  18. Looks like things move rather slow up yonder too The allegations stem from a July 2018 incident at the army’s Combat Training Centre at CFB Gagetown in New Brunswick. The court martial is scheduled to begin in New Brunswick in August.
