I had been looking for a lever in .35 Remington for awhile. I found this recently and was able to pick it up for a decent price. Was a little surprised when I looked up the date code and found out it was 1957. Now I just need to find some ammo at a decent price.7 points

We're not immune to problems but we do a LOT of backups, all "off-site", several times a day.4 points

As those Bartles & Jaymes guys used to say, “...and thank you for your support.” (I wonder if they’re still a thing?) The infrastructure to do something like this is way less expensive than it used to be - but it’s still not particularly cheap when you get the traffic TGO does. Benefactors literally keep the lights on around here.2 points

Hate to think about the issues TGO would be subject to if our Admin team wasn't heavy on IT experience. A lot of things can creep up, and troubleshooting/resolution can be a beotch.2 points

They were posting 200 errors, then 503, then the 522 errors. Their host machine is having issues - and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. One of the realities of a small forum - or even a big one - is that while redundancy is not a particularly hard problem. It does require a specific set of skills, and is quite expensive. Backups are your friend. I hope they get it squared away.2 points

He's a War Boy. He'll be bringing us home, bringing back what's stolen, like he's supposed to. I liked that show1 point

My wife, before we met, worked at the movie theater when Blazing Saddles was showing, she could quote most lines throughout the movie.1 point

And, I personally do not see how tightening a packing nut in the above photo would cause it to potentially leak on the inside, ever but I'm open to being wrong. I figure...the worst thing that I would foreseeable do would be to destroy the gasket/packing and it would need repacking?1 point

Powder Valley had a large drop a bit ago. Thanks to them and Midway last week, I have a good amount on the way. It's not all exactly what I would normally pick (example grabbed a bunch of AA2300 to try out) but it will keep me set for a while.1 point

Nice shooting! Does anyone know her true stance on 2A matters? Just wondering if she pro 2A, or just willing to profit off making movies using guns like that hypocrite Liam Neeson?1 point

The SADF used modified Honda 500XRs at the time. That’s according to the Rhodie crew.1 point

MP5 touched on the fender. The 70's enduro bikes had high mounted fenders. They were also smaller engines. The jug in that picture looks huge compared to the 100s and 125s of the 70s. It's almost definitely a Honda but I just figure out what model.1 point

As of this morning it is still down, now has an instant window pop up with this message. We’ll be back soon! Sorry for the inconvenience but we are working as hard as possible to get things back online.1 point

I bought a Weber Spirit II a few years ago after going through multiple cheap grills. I absolutely love it and the only thing I've had to replace were the flavorizer bars-which I replaced with a third party stainless which were thicker and cheaper off amazon. I do suggest buying a better grill as you'll be happy with how much better they cook.1 point

I have an MHP anodized aluminum head with a patio base mounted to my deck with a hard line to the house's natural gas supply. No tanks to change. I replaced the H-burner and ignition after about 12 years of use, but the head is as solid as ever. https://www.mhpgrills.com/1 point

I see having to provide ID to online ammo retailers being a thing in the near future. I’m kinda surprised it hasn’t already been implemented to be honest.1 point

After my Grandfather passed a couple of years ago I got a photo album with about 60 pictures that he took or are of him from his time in Korea. Here's a sampling: I think this is at Bragg but I'm not positive, if anyone does know please say. (ok ok that last one isn't vintage, but it's a photo of a vintage gun photo right...)1 point

Purchased a smaller Generac a couple months ago-I installed a thru the wall kit that has a 50 watt plug on the outside in a weatherproof box. On the inside wall is a dual wired 6 plug lighted receptacle-that can power a back up Black and Decker 15000 dual heat and AC unit-so at least we have a heat or air backup-and something to power the coffee maker-MOST IMPORTANT1 point

To be fair, she didn't say anything close to that. She simply said were she ever forced to use one, she would be in the best possible position meaning she had training. I have no doubt she's not on our side, but I'll watch her train with a smile on my face.0 points
