  5. That has been happening for an entire year. Never underestimate how ignorant people are. It will not surprise me if we find out they were targeted for being Asian.

  6. So I mailed it on February 22. And got it back on March 15. Not to bad of a turn around I have put this little pistol thru the test and it passed with flying colors. Everything I fed it , it ate. Not one problem. I have always been a Springfield fan, and this 911 is a Great little gun

  7. Seems that there is more concern for the shooter than the victims. His excuse is lame as f*ck.

  8. Anytime someone shoots and kills 8 people it’s going to be national news. Especially when the shooter was a white boy and the victims minorities. Go see what CNN is trying to cook up and how they’re trying to spin this.

  9. Big Shout Out For Red River Gun Works So I picked up the barrel from David at Red River Gun Works in Clarksville. He did a superb job. Also for an additional $30 he put the barrel on the upper, mounted the free floating hand guard, and swapped the gas tube from one gas block to another and mounted it, and finally put the flash hider on. All while I waited and we chatted about guns and such.

  10. I have had the dadburn chicom flu. It wasn’t fun but it was a deadly. I am living proof masks don’t work and the chicom flu don’t kill, What does Kill is underlying conditions. People with underlying conditions, if they so choose should get the shot. It is a personal choice. If the J&J shot becomes more available and I’m not stepping in line in front of someone that really needs it, I just might take a shot. But that is a good bit down the road for me. Antibodies are lasting at least eight months now as testing gets better. Since I’ve had the chicom flu I can no longer catch it and can no longer give it away.

  12. Did you watch the video clips on this? There is just about zero doubt what services were being offered at these locations. The only men not getting offered said "services" were likely uniformed officers rolling up in black and whites.

  13. It's a mass shooting where 8 people were killed. Why wouldn't it be national news?

  15. Looks like the MSM is already putting a racist slant to this. I certainly hope that's not true. What kind of complete idiot could blame Asian-Americans for Covid-19?

  18. After my Grandfather passed a couple of years ago I got a photo album with about 60 pictures that he took or are of him from his time in Korea. Here's a sampling: I think this is at Bragg but I'm not positive, if anyone does know please say. (ok ok that last one isn't vintage, but it's a photo of a vintage gun photo right...)

  19. The FK BRNO is a new pistol that will be imported for the first time in February. The say it is a new and unique concept and design and fires a proprietary cartridge, the 7.5 FK. The Field Pistol is a sporting pistol designed primarily to be used in long-range competitions, silhouette shooting, hunting, and generally any pistol shooting activity and tasks that requires the ability to engage targets at longer ranges, especially with a folding stock , such as (PSD) personal security detail, urban / suburban combat, backup (SBR) short barrel rifle, Air crew survival weapon, mechanised armour crew weapon, among other uses. Of course adding a folding stock requires a tax stamp. It is guaranteed to shoot less than 100x100mm at 100m. That is under a 4" group at 100m. Muzzle velocity is 2000fps with 880 ft/lbs and at 100m is still 1525fps and 520 ft/lbs. There are some interesting videos on their website. They take some large animals (200-320lbs) and do ballistic gel testing. Pretty impressive results. Now for the bad news. There is only one company that is going to import these. There will only be 1001 6" Field Pistols made for the US. The first order of 100 is almost all spoken for. They are accepting refundable deposits of $2500 to reserve a pistol. Price for the pistol is $7500. The ammo is 77.50 for a box of 50 95 gr hp. Don't know why but I really want one of these. If you see me posting a lot of toys for sale on here you will know I have finally lost my mind. lol. https://www.fkbrno.com/the-pistol-7-5

  21. I took it to mean he was asking for her drivers license (or other documentation), and the way he responds to finding the possible drugs he says 'what is this?', not 'is this it?'. So if he smelled drugs, he never stated that in the video, and you'd think they would have included that part of the video if he did. And her going back into the vehicle to retrieve something from her purse makes more sense if she was hunting for her ID (or other documents) than he smelled drugs and wanted to conduct a search of the vehicle. If you're right, I believe he violated even more department policies than already highlighted. Again without the entire video we're left with gaps... but my impression is when the video restarts with him standing next to her and the open car door, is that he wants to ID her, and ask her questions about where the wanted felon is, not that he smells drugs and he's going to conduct a search of her vehicle.

  23. I would buy quite a bit of the 7.5 ammo but just keep it for hunting. I would get the 9mm barrel for just having fun and throwing lead downrange.

  25. I was at the range with some buddies about 15 years ago... We all took turns shooting the hcp qualification course blind folded... 4 out of 5 of us passed. Remember that 99+% of people pass the HCP class. Citizens with no training are 5 times less likely that police officers to shoot and kill an innocent person in a justified shooting. I'm not worried about a guy who is legally blind shooting me, but I think he should have any option he feels comfortable with to protect his own life.

  26. The eligibility requirements are laid out here: https://www.tn.gov/safety/tnhp/handgun/eligibilityrequirements.html You don't have to have training, you don't have to pass a background check. Per the currently amended bill. Basically you can't be a prohibited person, with some added stuff like DUI/DWI convictions, not receiving SSI for a mental disability, etc. Basically if your background would allow you to be issued a permit, you can carry without a permit. There is one good thing about the current wording, if passed as is, you would not be required to ID to law enforcement unless you were carrying in a location that required a permit to carry, even if you've been issued a permit.

  27. Not really. I’m not fat, but I’m also not svelt. 185-190 and 5’11”. I also have a an IWB holster I put at the small of my back. I had to modify it with a dremel to work with the red dot. I did a write up here last year. it was in my write up on mounting the Shield SMSc to my P365XL.

  30. Lighter spring means more impact on the rest of the internals during recoil. It also means that the springs are going to need replaced at shorter intervals than a regular handgun but that's simple maintenance so I'm not going to get too attached that. For the average user, the EZ will probably be just fine. But the average user shoots under 100 rounds a year.

  31. Have you looked into the 7.5 PSD? It’s a polymer framed version of the field pistol and even comes as a kit with a replacement barrel for 10mm. https://fkbrnous.com/psd/ *edited to add* Looks like we had the same though at the same time, mamcdonald.

  32. I’m pretty tempted by the new PSD they have. Able to shoot 10mm and .40 S&W with a barrel change or 9mm with a new barrel and mag, depending on which caliber you want the conversion parts are included with the gun. RDS ready, multiple sight setups included, and about 6 grand less than the field pistol https://fkbrnous.com/psd/

  34. I am a civilian middle aged white guy with no LEO experience and I felt the exact same way. I watched the video and kept thinking it was a prime example of how not to conduct a traffic and potential felony stop. I expected him to be far more in control of the situation especially as she got out of the vehicle. He also did not seem to truly block the vehicle in. Letting her keep going in and out of the car and just milling around beside seemed like a big red flag to me. I would have expected him to want her standing or sitting on the curb away from the vehicle doors, likely at the front of the car. The only thing I saw positive was his calm non escalating demeanor up to the point things went sideways. I did not see anything that could have been misconstrued as aggressive behavior or tone from the officer during the initial portion of the stop. It was almost as if he was going out of his way to not agitate her any further. Obviously that failed. I have been stopped for speeding and had troopers/officers approach my car with more caution, address me more firmly, follow (what I assume is) protocol, and maintain more control of the situation. Granted it has been a close to a decade since my last traffic stop but I find it hard to believe good practices for stops have changed that drastically in >10 years.

  40. I bought a Beretta APX .40 last year and the first time I took it to the range about 13 or 14th shot the extractor popped me in the right knuckle and scared the crap out of me. I returned it to Beretta and have fired about 300 rounds with no problems. I figure after 700+ more I will trust it. As Erik said always eyes & ears when shooting. As I have said for years if it is man made it isn't if but when it fails. Hope this guy recovers well, that could have easily been fatal.

  45. Or look at it this way, his xtra padding may have prevented more significant penetration. No one knows the extent of eithers' wounds. The perp may have been been struck once or several times. It is really unfair to characterize the LEO from the confines of a comfy chair. Certainly the tactics leading up to the shooting is one thing, but to act like you have knowledge of his 'will' is well....out of line.

  46. I don’t have a P365XL, but I’m going to make a recommendation anyway because it’s the same recommendation pretty much regardless of pistol. For that size gun, get either a RMRcc, or a Holosun 507k (my choice). Nothing else is durable enough or of sufficient quality to be an EDC optic.
