I am kinda surprised that he allowed her to keep going back into the car. I was also surprised that after the shootout that he just watched her drive off without firing any more rounds.5 points

Well. That title covers a lot of territory doesn't it? Had 2 scheduled checkups and blood draws today. My GP and my Oncologist. I talked with both about the Covid Vaccines and my feelings and health issues relating to whether or not to take it. Interesting conversations from both. Especially the gentleman who actually drew the blood. We covered about everything from the source, the intent, and the possible outcomes of this pandemic. Even got into some of the religion side...Revelation and Mark of the Beast territory. But the core of all this is that my Oncologist's comments were this..."Do it. Do it Now!" You are at major risk. Walking time bomb. Just waiting to be infected. Really said that. Well, it seemed that TnOncology was vaccinating all their patients. And since I was in one office, a call was made and I was quite literally immediately shoved out the door and sent to the one where there were some shots still available. So...in spite of my comments here previously; I received the 1st dose of the Moderna Vaccine today. I do feel rather much a hypocrite right now. But it's done. We shall see what happens.4 points

Well the Glock is complete. And I test fired it today. I can’t say that it was flawless. I had a malfunction of some sort on the last round. I do not know whether it was a failure to eject or a stovepipe because I couldn’t see it. (See my latest post in the Iowa blind people permits thread for why I can’t see). I’m pretty happy with this for a first test. The concept is proven so now I’ll go ahead and order my own slide and give the borrowed slide back. This will be fun to experiment with. And I already have plans to print a 19.4 points

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, but I don't think calling our Senators is going to help on this one. Neither TN Senator will vote for this. We need a few moderate Democrats to break from the group. I think there is a chance but I could be wrong.4 points

Awesome for you! I can't wait, personally. In a couple of months, we'll be rocking' and rollin' again!3 points

After the attempted insurrection, our elected servants realize there are a lot of citizens that disagree with them. Fear of the unwashed masses. The Republicans are quietly rooting for disarmament as well...it's their power, influence and money club as well.3 points

Mr. Speaker, I am going to ask my colleagues here today and I am going to challenge the sponsors of this bill and those of them who might think they would vote for this bill to consider whether it is fair. Is it fair to surround yourself with armed guards, with Capitol Hill Police who have guns, with personal details, bodyguards, and ask the people to pay for it when you make it harder for those same people to protect themselves? I don't think that is fair. - Mr. Massie, 2nd Amendment Caucus2 points

2 seats remain available Saturday We still have 9 for Sunday @Jamie Jackson donated some cool stuff for us to practice with and on, including a leg. For the live fire portion of class, you can opt to shoot once / 10 rounds. You may get an opportunity to expend up to 30 rounds depending upon range efficiency. Great facility for teaching, training and shooting, backed up with awesome owner and staff.2 points

Guys, I split this off into its own thread. It probably wasn't going to help a guy trying to sell one when the replies turned to loaning one out for free.2 points

Just took the MP EZ 9 out and ran 20 rounds of Federal 147 gr Hydra Shock JHP through it. It fired them all with no problems. The price on the box was $20.00 for 50. OH, the days of yester year. Those 20 rounds would be 40. + today. So far the EZ is eating everything. It is a fun pistol to shoot and carries quiet nicely in a Comp Tac Minatour IWB holster. Been wearing it around the house and while doing yard work. Need to run several mor through it to make sure it is reliable. Plan to carry Rem Golden Saber 127 gr bonded in it.2 points

Worst case, budget in adding a french drain around the house as well as fixing the gutter situation. Water destroys more houses than just about anything.2 points

Whew, while nice Dillon is certainly more in line with my working class budget. iirc I invested around $300.00 in my Dillon 550 back around '89 or so. It's still going strong and Dillion did an inspection, cleaning, and parts replacement several years ago. Just cost me the shipping. And they've replaced parts along the way as needed. I certainly consider my Dillon a value purchase and investment. Nice setup @DJTC45!2 points

Welcome to TGO, at this time Tennessee is still red, may be purple and then blue. Depends on if people wise up or not. I came from Mississippi and have always loved Tennessee as a vacation destination. I don't like cities, I currently reside in the smallest populated county in Tennessee at about 5,079 people. I can't imagine living in a country like you described. A lot of Americans have the same viewpoint as the guys/gals on TGO. I won't speak for them, but I will say this. " I WILL NOT COMPLY", with any gun laws that are unconstitutional, they can take a hike. I hope you find a place that will meet your needs and you can find peace and quiet. Mac1 point

I can't imagine what you have described. Welcome to the forum and hopefully welcome to Tennessee soon. True enough Nashville has gotten more liberal. I suspect the next mayor will not be with the show the current mayor has put on. Memphis is also very blue. otherwise, this is a very conservative state. Cookeville or Murfreesboro would be where I would look. Both are college towns and my biased opinion is Murfreesboro covers your needs better. Chattanooga is good too but with Nashville being the hub of the south I would stay close. Internet is excellent around most mid to large cities here. I have ATT fiber optic business level here at the house. We had excellent for the time internet when I lived in Lafayette which is a very small town. Not sure how it is now. Point being, most areas, even rural, have good internet access. Outside of most cities, as long as you have room no one will bother your shooting. Best of luck. And be prepared for humid hot summers.1 point

Got my Case Feeder in this morning, got it mounted and set up, works great, also hooked up my led light. I decided to go old school on my powder measure, I removed the powder measure rod and installed two springs around the powder hopper like the old style, works smoother than the rod. I did that so I could change the angle of the powder hopper to work with the Mini MR. Bullet Feeder and my low prime alert. Ran a dry run without powder and it functions fine, tomorrow I'm going to load some W231 in the hopper and check and see if it is still set for 5.4grns since I had to move everything around a bit to clear and function. Got the dies all set and adjusted for sizing, bullet depth and crimping, Here's some pics still have a few more tweaks to make but should be ready to start reloading. I've got 30,000 left to finish off what I have in my inventory of 200grn SWC.1 point

Was pretty clear that I don't understand why anyone would move away from a place where politics made it uninhabitable, and then vote for those same policies in the new place. I'm not as partisan as people I know in the US. I don't blindly follow a party if/when they start going insane. Currently the only party making any sense at all is Republican, but you also get guys like the Texas governor reciting liberal talking points. Up here the conservative party is chock full of red cons (that's what we call a liberal acting as a conservative, our liberals are red). I wouldn't vote for a guy that just wears the badge, I want to know what his policies really are, what he/she would do if they were elected. But again, right now the democrats are batc#### crazy. Pelosi is insane, and a threat to democracy, but that's just my opinion. That said, I definitely understand your concern. I share it, as I am worried that Nashville will go full liberal, and they might have the voting power for the state. Suddenly I'm right back in a socialist environment, and damn straight I don't want that. Thing is, according to the immigration lawyer, they are only processing green cards from 2008, so I won't be able to vote for decades, I'm not in the game, so not a big concern. Not so for NY or Cali migrants... I have to stress, we are leaving here because we are capitalists. I like making money, I like making jobs, I like people that have pride in themselves and pride in their work. I despise unions, all of them. I was in the UAW for almost 20 years, and it's a cancer. Up here in the 'great white north' people that don't live in the cities still work for their supper. Sure, we don't mind helping someone who is really in need, I mean who doesn't, but just handing everything over to people who just don't want to work...that's crazy. Unfortunately, people like me are a dying breed up here.1 point

They don't use block sealant on the outside (or don't use enough), they dont install French drains, they don't backfill with gravel, they don't get downspouts away from the house, and they don't grade properly... because all that takes time and money.1 point

That should give you an idea of the scope of the issue at it's worst in the past. Like everyone else says: add a dehumidifier! Mold can be active in high humidity areas, not just from water seepage. We have a walk-out basement and added HVAC returns and a dehumidifier and never had a problem, though there we some signs of past intrusion. And of course, I am super vigilant with gutter maintenance.1 point

I can think of more things to spend $10,000.00 on and it won't be a reloading press. They look good, but I'll stay with what I have.1 point

With today's market you should probably move forward. If the down spouts are the trouble and often they are, it can take a long time for the moisture level to get back to normal. If you did smell a musty odor you're probably OK. I had to paint some of my block on the inside with that ugh waterproof paint. Did the trick but was a pain to prep.1 point

Nice! You ought to just send that Gen 2 grip module off to Dark Side Precision and let him work it over for you or buy one from him when he has them in stock. I have a spare that I am probably going to send to him sooner or later.1 point

You've seen a lot of the Memphians in here refer to Tops. Tops is a fast food chain. And like I said, the place is terrible.1 point

It is both a cooking method and a food. Verb vs noun. You can BBQ any meat, but as a food, it’s only pork and even more specifically, pulled or chopped pork shoulder/butt. Pork ribs are BBQ ribs. Beef ribs are exactly that, beef ribs.1 point

The risk is where I would say you are wrong. The risk isn’t in the UBC the risk is in what must come next. It’s all about not setting the stage for a registry and UBCs will make one a necessity.1 point
-
Unless SCOTUS uses UBCs to toss the Wickard decision, I believe that it will stand if passed. As alluring as the idea of true compromise like getting suppressors off the NFA might sound, I can’t get on board with supporting it. UBCds are unenforceable, unless you have universal registration. So it won’t be long after UBCs get passed that registration will come along to make the UBC system viable.1 point

That image is not upside down. The single star is always closest to the blue bar no matter which side of the flag you are looking at. The flag attaches to the pole along the red edge. Even if it was upside down, the single star would still be closest to the blue bar. It looks like they took the blue bar off the image, turned the red part over right to left and then added the blue bar back.1 point

Make sure you rent a pistol with a red dot sight so you can try them out first. I personally don't like them. But if I were to get one I'd go with a pistol milled out from the factory. I'd stay away from aftermarket milling places. Stick with Factory and you cant go wrong.1 point
