  1. The hobby of mine is just that....a hobby. I feel in order to do this with any enjoyment and piece of mind I have to make (or attempt to make) something I am inspired to do. To make something with a certain shape, color etc. is work....something I retired from years ago. I have a certain look, style that I aim for in every knife. I guess I make what I want cause it's what I need to do in order to want to walk out to the shop in the morning. I'll loosely call it an art form or craft. This coming year I have certain projects I feel I need to at least make a stab at.....pardon the pun. I hope that if I put a certain amount of time and effort into something most of you will see the difference in the end. That's my hope anyway. I intend to get better at the small things which in turn end up with a better piece. Now this isn't to say I don't want or appreciate your ideas and suggestions cause I consider all of them. For example I can't get that brisket knife out of my head. I intend to attempt one using the tools and limited ability I have on hand while making it in a style of my own. I'm still going to make Bowies, smaller hunting knives and even Christmas like specials and whatever else gets my attention. You all have been very supportive of this journey I'm on and appreciate it very, very much. So if you're looking for something by all means let me know and I'll give you the most honest answer I can. Thanks again to the best group of people on the interwebz.

  2. Really. Since Satan worshiping pedophiles' global sex trafficking ring rigged the election to bring down DJT, this is duck soup. And certainly 5G is part of the overall plan for total mind control by the New World Order by the socialist Illuminati. - OS

  3. Holy cow! Talk about bad luck. You park your RV in deserted downtown Nashville on Christmas morning and get hit by a missile aimed at the AT&T building. Who would have ever thunk it?

  4. Having a number of your knives and given as gifts a number more, I like your style. I like that you have a fairly defined style. You do it well. Looking forward to the knives to come.

  5. Some people think mind control, source of the ‘rona, surveillance (even Batman level surveillance in which they use cell phones to virtually map the entire city), deliberately designed to cause cancer, and I’m sure the list doesn’t stop there. The “man” behind it all is usually China, Bill Gates, The Democrats, and the “Deep State”.

  6. I'm not sure how you get a missile contrail from that little blip on the video. The resolution is terrible, it doesn't look much different from any of the other artifacts and pixelizations visible to me. Looks like the YouTube poster is really reaching on his interpretation ...

  7. Your question implies that the guy had some sort of rational reason. Crazy people believe things which make no sense to normal folks, attempting to understand their logic is futile. If the current theories of what happened and who did it are true, then this guy blew himself up deliberately while trying to take down a data center. That is the very definition of a nutcase ...

  8. Summer 2018 our blower motor digital controller went out, hard to find it not in a motor. Bill was $800, he left old motor. I got the number off of motor and Amazon had exact part with twice the warranty for $200. Pays to shop. Sorry it broke in cold temps. In 2 weeks we replaced water heater and dryer bearing went out.

  9. I see it, have been exposed to it, have lost friends... folks I knew to it, but the reality of the results of the fear and evasion hit me hardest at Christmas.. My mom is almost 90.. SHARP as a razor edged tack! Still reads at least 4-6 hours every single day. I don’t know how many times she’s read her Bible cover to cover. All that said, my boys couldn’t run over and open gifts with her this year for the 1st time ever because she’s scared of catching it, and/or scared she may be getting it/passing it off to my disabled son. This virus is real, and I don’t want it, but the year of very little interaction with my nearing 90 yr old mother is something we cannot get back. Praying here daily too... The company I work for was impacted in a positive way from a business perspective - working 7-days a week with a 5-day a week crew all year. I’m 58, and this will go down as the craziest year of my life.

  13. Just get closer to your game. I called in this bobcat and took him at 35 yards with my 1966 Winchester 30-30. My eyes are 65-years-old wore out, so yes, iron sights are tough, but still work for me close up. I limit my deer shots to 50 yards with irons. Not hard if you hunt thick woods. If I'm hunting open fields, I still have some scoped bolt guns for that.

  18. Absolutely its circumstantial. But it causes Officers or Agents to find that guy to ask him about it. It’s like a drug cases; they are pretty easy when you have the names of the dealers. Not enough for an arrest; but enough to start an investigation and try to establish probable cause.

  21. Joined a few years ago but forgot all about it. Just recently started posting. Been reloading for over 50 years (yea, another old guy). Only lived in Tennessee for 5 years but we love it here. Hunted Alaska from one end to the other for decades and one quick trip to Africa. Went from the bigger magnums down to 6.5 CM, 260, .270, 7mm/08, 06, 30-30, 45-70, etc. My passion is hunting with a handgun but a recent injury has put that on hold. Hope to correct that with a lot of PT in time for next years deer season. Am proud of the fact never shot a big game animal with a factory round. Back in the 60's when I began to reload most shooters and hunters thought reloads were inferior to factory rounds. We have a 50 yard range in our backyard and our deer stands are a 200 yard walk. We eat mainly venison all year and process everything ourself. So, Hi

  23. Just read an article that said the RV was covered in cameras, and was blasting “Downtown” by Petula Clark. First line: ”when you’re alone and life is making you lonely, you can always go... downtown” also brings to mind the Seinfeld episode where they’re picking the song apart for clues. Starting to feel very much like a Black Mirror episode

  25. My go to rifle this season has been a Mossberg 30-30 with a 16 inch barrel and some type of brushed nickel/stainless finish. Have a Nikon 1x4 scope mounted on it. Davidsons made it a few years ago. Its light, accurate, and a breeze to get inside the blind or deer tower and carries like a dream. Mossberg 464 Davidson's Exclusive 30-30 Stainless Steel 16" Barrel 41050 - Gunprime Shot a nice buck last year (first with a 30-30). About 35 yard shot and it was a bang, flop, dead deer. Also own a couple of Marlin 45-70's, 2 BLR's. Savage 99 in 300 Savage. Two Winchester 94's with one being a take down model. I really like the Winchester 1895 and in the past owned both a 30-06 and a .405. Both take down models. Used the .405 to shoot a huge bison about 6 years ago.

  33. Unless the steel and zinc weights have been picked out, which is unlikely in a tire store, assume that those buckets will be slightly less than 50 percent lead. It varies with the town and whether it's a tire shop or a car dealership. My estimate is based on the last couple of batches I got from a Toyota dealership; a small town tire shop will probably be a better source, but keep that in mind if you decide to offer to buy them.

  35. Sad thing on HVAC, is there is really not that much to a heat pump but the parts always seem to be stupidly expensive. I replaced interior blower motor a few weeks back for less than $150 when a HVAC guy wanted $400. It was some bolts and 2 wires. Took some calling to find a local place that sold to the public though. Most only sell to the hvac companies. I have found that from cars to fridges and everything in between it is less about repair nowadays and more about part swapping.

  38. On the subject of wearing cloth masks... They aren't the cure. They are a mitigating mechanism. They aren't perfect. Owners of private property are within their rights to require them. You are within your right to go somewhere else if you don't like it. You aren't within your right to violate their rights as property owners. Oh, one last bullet point that should appeal to gun owners... Wearing a mask makes you the Gray Man. You blend. Not wearing a mask makes you stand out. It draws attention to you. People assume you're a dick. They might confront you over it. It's not worth the headache. "When In Rome, Do As The Romans"

  39. The 30-30 is just about the perfect centerfire rifle cartridge. It is only taken for granted because it is so common. It is so common because it is about the perfect centerfire rifle cartridge. It was also chambered in some of the best deer rifles ever manufactured. Think of that one song. It is a great song, but you’ve heard it on the radio so many times you are just sick of it. It is still a great song. The 30-30 Winchester is that song.

Atleast not like initially is done. I also know people with squeaky clean records denied sales for no reason and then be fine the next day.
