  1. These are from Shooting Targets 7, all but the black one, it is from Country Farm and Home in Algood.

  2. Nope. Not wrong. I'm as much my own man as my wife says I can be.

  6. I picked up this little beauty earlier today from a local seller. Browning Model 1955 .380. This was a re-introduction of the FN Model 1910 intended for the U.S. market and sold by Browning. The gun is absolutely perfect. Not a mark on it anywhere. I seriously believe it may be unfired. No box or papers, but it did come with the original Browning black leather gun rug. Serial number dates it to 1968. It snuck in just before GCA 68 banned them. The guns continued to be sold in Europe until the mid-1970s. Very sweet little gun. For $550, I think I did quite well.:D Unfortunately the weather forecast is calling for rain most of next week. Don't know when I'll get a chance to shoot it. But I will shoot it.

  7. Well it doesn't cost anything to keep a website up and running. Ask TGO David.

  9. Bless me Father, for I have sinned. I have been with a loose girl." The priest asks, "Is that you, little Joey Pagano?" "Yes, Father, it is." "And who was the girl you were with?" "I can't tell you, Father. I don't want to ruin her reputation." "Well, Joey, I'm sure to find out her name sooner or later so you may as well tell me now. Was it Tina Minetti?" "I cannot say." "Was it Teresa Mazzarelli?" "I'll never tell." "Was it Nina Capelli?" "I'm sorry, but I cannot name her." "Was it Cathy Piriano?" "My lips are sealed." "Was it Rosa DiAngelo, then?" "Please, Father! I cannot tell you." The priest sighs in frustration. "You're very tight lipped, and I admire that. But you've sinned and have to atone. You cannot be an altar boy now for 4 months. Now you go and behave yourself." Joey walks back to his pew, and his friend Franco slides over and whispers, "What'd you get?" "Four months vacation and five good leads..."

  10. I am not believing that all those gun owners are not my enemies. There are quite a few lefties that are increasingly becoming violent, and feel anyone that does not agree with them are their enemies.

  11. Early rifle started last year. For the culling, it's 4 antlered and 4 antlerless to get the sportsman's license or 4 antlerless to get the hunt/fish combo plus hunting implement of choice license added. Has to all be harvested from unit CWD and tested.

  12. I have to echo Ken based on Vortex 1-6 and 1-8's I've had. I was an early adopter when they came out with the 1-8 but the lens quality in my first unit was noticeably worse. Vortex was great and swapped it out. The replacement was about on par to 6 power, but clarity suffered a bit after that. I rarely ran it passed 6. And the eyebox is a hair less forgiving. I never lived with the PA version, but borrowed one for a weekend after finding the newer Vortex was not an improvement over the 1-6. 1-6 Vortex nod on the glass, but the ACSS was a faster pickup for more precise placement at longer distance to me. Toss up. YMMV I have really been liking PA's newer prism scopes @ 3x even if the use case is'nt intended to be the same. PA is also very good about taking care of issues. I had an older 5x prism with blem reticle and they swapped it out no problem. I may have another new / unboxed Vortex 1-8 if you decide to go that way. I wish I had Chuck's money.

  13. It seems reasonable to the folks that own the service so they're free to give it a shot and see if their customers agree. Things change. Ideas and concepts that used to work sometimes change and are no longer viable. There are a variety of reasons why this could be the case... Costs of operation requiring more income. Maybe some states maybe require them to operate as a "club" with exclusive membership, and the legal definition requires a membership fee. Maybe charging a fee to a buyer allows them to validate that buyer's identity (as mentioned elsewhere) Maybe they just regretted their previous subscription model and saw an opportunity to change it and make more profit. Making a profit isn't evil. It's why any of us who go into business do it in the first place. I don't know if or which of any of those are true or accurate. Just reasons I could reasonably think of without any effort. Of course, the power lies with the customer to decide if they want to pay and use the service, or not. But stealing is stealing, and I'd rather just see people walk away from a service than try to bilk the people behind it of the value they've put on their work. That's just wrong.

  14. I just got my November Guns America Digest. In it there's an article that says over 17 million guns have been bought so far this year. A new record. It also goes on to say that 7 million were sold to first time buyers. I think a lot of democrats have changed their minds about gun control and this will work in our favor. Story Here

  15. THIS was reason #1 for me to vote against them. And even with a Trump win I see this as not something that is going away only being delayed until the next election. Sadly many future felons voted their rights away because they don't like how the other guy tweets

  16. The proper rhythm certainly helps. Also consider getting a powder baffle to help with charge weight consistency (didn't see one in photo). They're cheap & help charge weight consistency with all types of powder grain shapes. https://www.rcbs.com/powder-measure/accessories/powder-baffle/545.html

  17. I am more concerned about what will happen to the 2A and private ownership of firearms if this goes to Biden than I am about civil unrest. Unless you live somewhere that riots and protests are likely to occur, common sense and avoidance will likely keep you away from that sort of action. But other than exercising civil disobedience and becoming a criminal (on paper), you aren't going to easily "avoid" the sort of anti-2A tyranny that Sniffy Joe and Al Qaeda Harris have officially stated that they will attempt to enact..

  18. We may have seen the end of an era of low gun prices and availability. I’m not optimistic about ever seeing it come back. Same for ammo.

  19. I've had a PA 1-6 ACSS scope on a BM ACR for several years. For the money, they deliver a fair value. I've never done much roughhousing or 3-gun with it, so I can't offer any meaningful experience as to the durability. The glass is pretty fair, not quite as bright as the similarly priced Vortex Strike Eagle. The eyebox is adequate, if not generous. The Strike Eagle seems a bit superior there. Taken all around, I find the ACSS reticle more useful than the Strike Eagle's. The only 1-8 I looked through had such a small eyebox that I, personally, would look elsewhere. I'd have no problem at all buying another 1-6, if the right deal came along.

  20. This all reminded me to check for some extra 100rd mag bags. Last time I bought some they were 35 bucks each. Now I see a couple outfits asking $69 for one! And that's no links. These run 75 rds nicely in my RPD. Good luck on the build. Oh, by the way, I bought a number of the plastic 200 round boxes and now I see why the grunts hated them. Pure garbage plastic latching on them. Don't waste your money on those P's OS. Good luck on the build.

  22. I have no desire to discuss politics with anyone.. lol ..I just walk away from it.. I get #### from guys all the time at the range ..or when we go skeet shooting.I had to learn to either just give a smart ass remark back at them or ignore them.. Some men are just jerks and think us womanfolk don`t have any gun sense about them...Its sad and pitiful.. but mostly I run into people who like us to shoot. And Dolomite and I do go shooting with members on here or have met them thru various outings and at home here..

  24. Teenage kid wakes up and has to start his chores (ok maybe no longer realistic). Walks to the barn and kicks a chicken out of the way, throws the slop bucket outside of the hog pen, and then slaps the cow before he starts milking. He comes back inside and his Mom looks at him and is disappointed. Says I saw what you did and that's not appropriate. Since you kicked the chicken no eggs for a month, since you didn't feed the pig no bacon or ham for a month, and since you slapped the cow no milk for a month. Kid is shocked. About that time his Dad comes downstairs and almost trips over the cat at the bottom of stairs, as he's fussing he swings his jacket at the cat. Kid looks at his Mom and says "you want to tell him or you want me to"
