  2. E4, I agree with you. It's a shame people don't take that right/responsiblility as seriously as they should I guess is the concern.

  5. I heard a story on the radio yesterday, 16 year old swimmer, recently lost her sight. Training for the 2021 Paralympics. When asked why, she responded, "If you don't try, how will you ever know."

  18. Thank you very much for all the ideas as I have put my quest on hold as my health has gotten out of control the past few weeks or so and now working on getting my body back in line. My meds have evidently quit working like they have been for last 10 years and I have lost control of my sugar levels and also my BP and need to get in and see my doctors and see what is going on. If my BP does not begin coming back in line I will be going to ER since my doctors can't fit me in till early October. I will try and keep you updated. Very sorry to hear about Gibbs!!!

  19. Well I feel like a jerk now. It has been ages since I have checked in. I peek in from time to time but I never saw this and for that, I am sorry. If you're still around, I'll be more than happy to answer. We live close by you, I'd say about an hour (?) from you just outside of Cookeville depending on who's driving. lol I am fortunate enough to have a neighbor with about 400 acres who let's us shoot down in a field on his property that backs up to our house. I have another neighbor with a more "range like" setup down the street that I do to on occasion when I want to rifle shoot. I am a lot like you, I love my guns and shooting time. I need to get into the habit of doing it weekly again. I have been behind a lot due to the rescue/foster work I do and other hobbies. I prefer 10mm and most of MY guns are Glocks with the exception of Black Betty, my 1911. I have several Glocks but I am thinking about selling my 17 and 21sf because I just really prefer and feel most comfortable with my 20 & 29. They are my "always with me" guns. As for disclosing the purchase of new guns, he pretty much catches me every time. LOL I haven't purchased anything in quite a while since I have pretty much everything I need. However, if I do sell my 17 & 21sf, then I will be buying an additional 20 for myself. LOL because, why not? That one I won't have to sneak in because I just grabbed a really nice knife for him from Willis. I'm going to renew my membership. Hopefully you are still around!

  20. Good point. So those are trained, experienced gun owners, some which garner headlines. No telling how many instances have occurred with the general public that one will never hear about. I don’t want myself , family or friends to be the recipient.

  21. Just for some Glock eye candy , here's my G17 made in 1996. Its a Gen 2 but to me the Gen 2 was Glock's "perfection" . No finger grooves , damn near rust proof , 2 pin frame instead of 3 pins , old style extractor with no LCI , no light rail , and it has leaf style springs in the slide LOCK and slide STOP instead of the coiled springs they switched to now days.

  22. Gun owners are the reason. It’s really that simple. They are in fact an hysterical bunch when it comes to components...and ammo availability. The record guns sales we’ve seen in the last 6 months has nothing to do with the availability of reloading components. Most new gun owners don’t know jack about ammo, much less making their own.

  23. 1911alltheway just sent these to me on Friday. Ihad him make these for my Staccato P 4.15 2011. He did a great job they are great, fit and finish is really good, he nailed the designs I asked for. One is a Rodisan style, the other is a Bruce Nelson Combat style, both fit a 1.5" belt and hold the gun snugly, I can't wait to get them broken in. Thanks 1911alltheway you did a great job on making these for me.

  24. I will concede beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And I do like Palmetto States stuff I have 2 of their ARs and an AK-V. I guess I'm kinda out of the loop on the price points of polymer 9mm pistols. But the way that mag just sticks out the bottom and it's all so square everywhere.I just can't help looking at it and thinking if the 1977 Ford Granada was a pistol that is what it would look like. But I don't like Glocks either so there you go. I assume accessories and aftermarket parts for the glock also fit the Granada?

  30. "Oh yas. That there's yer juvenile version of the Cotton headed Rattlemouth is what that is. I've seen em bite their own tail so they roll down hill like an hoop. They'll swim clear across a lake to climb in your boat off a branch & steal your wallet & boots, so they will! Rear up to 6 feet off the ground & bite a grown cow inna face. Killed it dead as a wedge before it even took a breath. They come in about 90 different patterns & sizes too! " *every Southerner, when asked about literally any snake, ever.
