  1. Yesterday I was checking out the Facebook page of one of our local gun ranges here in Memphis (Top Gun) and noticed they just received this New Colt Python in. I couldn't believe it was still available when I went over to the range this afternoon. I could not help myself I had to have it. It was between this beautiful Colt Python and Links2K Henry .357 Magnum Rifle. I am sorry Links2k, but the Colt won. I cannot wait to get to the range shoot this beautiful handgun.

  2. Quite delusional, Trump didn't send positive cases back to the nursing homes, didn't balk at putting travel restrictions on China, make it illegal for an old known drug to be used. As a nation we will rally around a cause when those in power work together and as one give us a plan, but no, POTUS has to go it alone, with practically every Demo fighting him tooth and nail. You can believe what you want, but I'll stick to what I can verify, and what I see, and that is that 99% or more are safe from this, and there was no need to shut down this economy for as long as it has. Once the science started, and it has for a long time, showing who were most at risk, they should have adjusted. But even now, there are states with draconian laws in place, arresting people for not wearing masks, all the while refusing to stop these riots. Yea, all Trump's fault, SMFH.

  3. I am a thinker, and I've heard too many medical professionals reporting that death certificates are not being recorded properly. One nurse has good video evidence showing the crooked happenings in the NY hospital she was assigned to, and I am sure it wasn't the only one. Then there is the chart that cuomo put up, from the 2nd largest numbers to almost flatline...yea, right.

  6. You just don't know what to believe anymore The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued a new report detailing how many COVID-19 deaths in America also involved other underlying health conditions. According to the report, only 6% of the COVID-19 deaths in the U.S. list COVID-19 as the only cause of death. 94% of COVID-19 deaths involved at least one other underlying health condition, and on average involved "2.6 additional conditions or causes of death." https://disrn.com/news/new-cdc-report-says-94-of-covid-deaths-had-underlying-conditions

  7. Years ago, back in the 70's, early 80's, I would get the flu ( sick in bed, couldn't get up or feed my self, flu ). Felt like someone had taken burlap I rubbed my shin raw all over. After I started taking the flu shot every year, no more flu. I get mine at the VA as soon as it comes available. Hopefully get one Fri. as I have an appt. anyway.

  8. No. Your body regulates it. https://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/phs/phs.asp?id=218&tid=39 Once in your body, formaldehyde is rapidly broken down into other chemicals. Most of these other chemicals quickly leave your body in the urine. Formaldehyde can also be converted to carbon dioxide and breathed out of the body. But that doesn't mean that you should drink it.

  12. Like what? https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/321207#what-is-in-a-flu-shot-and-why What is in a flu shot and why? Many vaccines for flu and other viruses contain similar ingredients. The purpose of each ingredient is to either make the vaccine effective or ensure that it is safe. Many studies over the years have shown that flu vaccines are safe. The CDC say that it is the best way to avoid getting the flu and spreading it to other people. The following list looks at seven ingredients in vaccines, including flu shots, and why vaccines need them: 1. Influenza viruses The flu vaccine contains tiny amounts of the viruses it protects against. The presence of these viruses in the vaccine triggers the body’s natural defense mechanism to produce antibodies to fight them. This means that the body quickly recognizes them when exposed to the disease in “real life.” Different influenza viruses contained in a flu shot are: influenza A virus H1N1 called the Michigan strain Influenza A virus H3N2 called the Hong Kong strain one or two influenza B viruses called the Brisbane and Phuket strains Traditional flu shots are trivalent (three-component) vaccines because they protect against three viruses: two influenza A viruses (H1N1 and H3N2), and one influenza B virus. A person can also get a quadrivalent (four-component) vaccine, which protects against an additional B virus. 2. Formaldehyde Formaldehyde is toxic and potentially lethal in high doses. However, it is present in such small amounts in a flu vaccination that it is harmless. Formaldehyde’s role in the flu shot is to inactivate toxins from viruses and bacteria that may contaminate the vaccine during production, as well as the viruses naturally present in the vaccine. Formaldehyde is typically present in the human body and is a product of healthy digestive function. 3. Aluminum Salts Aluminum has been used in vaccines for over 70 years. Aluminum salts are adjuvants, meaning that they help the body to develop a stronger immune response against the virus in the vaccine. Because they boost the body’s response, this means that the vaccine can contain smaller amounts of the virus. Similar to formaldehyde, and to most ingredients in the flu shot, the amount of aluminum present in the vaccine is extremely small. This compound is not always present in flu vaccines, some of which are aluminum-free. 4. Thimerosal Thimerosal is a preservative that keeps the vaccine free from contamination by bacteria and fungi. Without this, the growth of bacteria and fungi is common when a syringe is in a multi-dose vial (a vial that contains more than one dose). Thimerosal is made of an organic form of mercury known as ethylmercury, a safe compound that usually only stays in the blood for a few days. It is different from the standard mercury that can cause illness in large doses, and from the mercury found in seafood (called methylmercury), which can stay in the body for years. Flu shots will only contain thimerosal when they are in a multi-dose vial. Single-dose vials, pre-filled syringes, and nasal sprays do not need to include this preservative because contamination is not an issue. 5. Chicken egg proteins Proteins from chicken eggs help viruses to grow before they go into the vaccine. Influenza viruses used in vaccines are usually grown inside fertilized chicken eggs, where the virus makes copies of itself. After that, the viruses are separated from the egg and placed in the vaccine; this means that the finished vaccine may contain small amounts of egg proteins. The CDC say that the flu shot is typically safe for people with egg allergies, but those who have an egg allergy must mention it to the doctor before receiving the shot. A person with a severe egg allergy may require monitoring by a doctor following the injection. Egg-free flu shots are also available. 6. Gelatin Gelatin is present in the flu shot as a stabilizer. Stabilizers keep the vaccine effective from the point of production to the moment of use. Stabilizers also help to protect the vaccine from the damaging effects of heat or freeze-drying. Most flu vaccines use pork-based gelatin as a stabilizer. 7. Antibiotics Antibiotics are present in the flu vaccine to keep bacteria from growing during the production and storage of the vaccine. Vaccines do not contain antibiotics that may cause severe reactions, such as penicillin. Instead, vaccines contain other forms of antibiotics, such as gentamicin or neomycin. Neomycin is also an ingredient in many topical medications, such as lotions, ointments, and eye drops.

  20. Yea but if you get the Chinese 2019 flu, it makes headline news and people make money out of it. I saw a youtube video yesterday and it showed a segment where CBS faked a testing station that had a long line in it, they weren't testing they were just making it look worse. IMHO this is the culmination of lots of money and time trying to bring this nation down. Let's shut down all the Essential businesses, and all the non-essential people can go jump off a cliff I suppose. Bunch of hogwash. There are more abortions each day than this stuff has killed and why aren't those abortions listed under "murder"?? Think on that awhile.

  23. Yes. Yes it is. 32 foot pole tipped with cotton. At least 31 feet of it went up my nostrils. I think it caused one of my eyeballs to fall out. I don’t think I’m exaggerating at all. I’m also of the opinion that it’s been around a while. My doctor is pretty certain that he and I both had it around November and December of 2019.

  24. I've seen some articles where doctors are concerned with the coming of the normal flu season. Symptoms are very similar to Covid and there are worries of misdiagnosis leading to major problems with both diseases. Back in July I lost a filling and chipped a tooth. Before I could get to the dentist, it got infected. The infection spread to my sinuses and somehow triggered a serious COPD episode. I was sick as a dog and barely able to breath for several weeks. I was scared it might be Covid there for a while, but tested negative. I'm just now getting over it. Weird how one small ailment can lead to other much more serious stuff. Trust me, I'm an expert on that and it sucks.

  25. Last year I had the "flu". Several ways that it manifested itself was in respiratory distress and a loss of the ability to taste or smell, which still bothers me today. I was sick for weeks. I've also met several others that had similar symptoms. I'm convinced that the covid virus has been circulating for a while.....

Voluntarily put yourself in that position. If you're willing to let your personal opinions affect whether you do your job or not, you shouldn't be in that position. I believe that was Link2ks point?

  28. I've stayed out of this thread until now, but guess it's time to contribute as I have first hand experience with COVID now..... My wife has several family members in Louisiana and Mississippi who went through COVID over the past few months. My parents and sis.-in-law contacted in it July. They all recovered without issue but the experiences varied. 2+ weeks ago my mother-in-law had out-patient surgery so my wife went over to help clean the house and stuff after (on the 15th). The couple of days leading up to that weekend, MIL was feeling ill but her doctor said the symptoms including out of breathe were due to the tube they had run down her throat. She went back in to see the DR. on that Friday and received a COVID test. My wife arrived Saturday and met her father for lunch, and while at lunch received the call her mother was positive. My wife didn't go to their house and wasn't around her mother - just came back home. A few days later though her father came down sick, and tested positive. A week later (22nd) my wife started feeling ill and had a fever, and on Sunday had "flu-like" symptoms so she isolated to the bedroom. Tuesday afternoon we received her positive test. She is finally feeling better today but still easily out of breathe and coughing. All week I stayed away as best as possible except when bringing stuff upstairs to my wife. I slept in my office, took care of both kids, and felt fine. Wednesday I had a headache and a stuffy nose which kind of came and went throughout the day and into Thursday. Thursday night at dinner I realized I couldn't smell or taste the food. Or smell anything else. Pizza tastes the same as a cookie, water, mt. dew and bourbon all the same....cannot smell ANYTHING we have at the house including candles, Hoppes, etc. I haven't been tested and don't intend to bother. I am pretty certain I have it though due to the sudden loss of smell and taste coupled with the allergy / sinus infection symptoms but no obvious fever (I can almost always tell) and n coughing or chest congestion. If it wasn't for the obvious loss of senses, I wouldn't know I was sick. And not able to smell or taste certainly sounds odd (I laughed when my wife first realized she couldn't), but experiencing it yourself is very disconcerting.

  29. Sounds like you already know the answers. So why are you asking? The real answer is that 0 people that have posted in this thread are lawyers, and less than 0 of us are NFA specific lawyers. You should seek out advice from someone that can defend you when the BATFE decides you were wrong, or changes their mind because the wind blew or the sun came out.

  30. Good deal, kill all of them if you have the chance. 1 critter I have no use for because of the damage to the mountains and diseases. As for a .22lr. will kill anything on this planet if put in the right spot. Several years ago when Ted Nugent was letting someone kill a Buffalo at his Michigan ranch the fellow was shooting a 7mm magnum and at 75 or 80 yards shot one broadside, Ted said shoot him again, 1 more broadside, buffalo didn't flinch, Ted said shoot him again, on the 3rd shot you could see the steam come out and he rocked him. Later in the day I was watching another hunting show and they were hunting buffalo out west and the guide asked the hunter if he knew where to shoot him and then said right behind the ear, he was shooting a smaller caliber .243 or 7mm-08 by the sound of it, he shot and the buffalo's lights went out. Another if you put it in the right place, dirt nap.

  31. I also have an heirloom .22. My dad got a Winchester Model 67 when he was a kid. I got it when I was a kid. Its not a great gun, although it was more accurate than i was last time i shot it. I busted the stock a long time ago and go a new one on it now, but I still have the original. It'll go to one of my kids or a grandkid.

  32. I could probably say the same if I spent more time on reddit or the democratic underground, or the comment sections of various Alt-Left "news" outlets. Not really a surprise given the demographics at play. This really doesn't take anything away from my quote, btw. The watchemen, the journalist, the reporters, the "news" companies have a responsibility because they, together, wield so much power. Instead most of them have taken truthfulness, accuracy, objectivity, impartiality, and fairness to the chopping block, and replaced them with lies, inaccuracy, subjectivity, bias, and ruthlessness towards their opponents. I voted for Trump because I saw the "news comedians" and the mainstream media all turn on him, instantly. If it wasn't orchestrated, it sure looked like it was. Trump for me was a giant middle finger to all of those people that believe they run the show. The same people that one day will demand I show them the location of my boating accident so they may seize my property (guns), or tell me I need a background check for ammo, or cannot reload ammo anymore, etc, and on forever. I'm tired of my culture being under assault. We can coexist but not the way things are headed. The Alt-Left's little heads are being filled with garbage making them incompatible with the rest of the free world.

  34. When I lived in Lavergne I had a one-story house that was 1,633 SqFt that cost me $175,000 in 2005. When I went to San Francisco in 2007 I took a trolley tour. The tour guide pointed out an apartment that was 1,500 SqFt and bragged that it cost $6,500,000.00! I knew then they were beyond nucking futs!

  35. The entire country isn’t far from being dominated by the left; Tennessee included. Ya know, I have to laugh when I see the liberals whining about Trump not wanting mail in voting, saying he and the republicans are trying to keep people from voting. I don’t know of a single republican that wouldn’t like to see more people vote. The working class, especially the young, get tied up with work and trying to take care of their families, and sometimes neglect voting. Would they vote if there was mail in voting? Sure, but when you are sending out more ballots than you have voters; there is no doubt you will have voter fraud. The left doesn’t have a problem with burning and looting businesses; they won’t have a problem with filling out a bunch of ballots.

  40. A bush hog would cure a lot of California’s fire problems. I saw a commercial recently where one of the foreign car companies pledged to plant 500,000 trees in California. Guess what’s burning there? California politicians won’t let the power companies clean their right of ways, and then sue them when a power line falls and causes a fire. Now they shut the power off during storms to prevent this. That doesn’t make them happy either. I don’t see how anybody with any sense lives there.

  44. Remember this CC only permit just went into effect Jan. 1. With Covid 19 and all of its ramifications, gun law is on the back burner. As things roll around to ‘normal’ other states may address this further. If one is going to spend time and money I would recommend getting the best training and permit available.

  46. That report is like saying that a heart attack is not "the only cause of death" if you also had high blood pressure or were overweight. Or insulin shock not the only cause of death if you of course were diabetic and needed to take the shots in the first place. Lung cancer not the only cause of death if you also smoked. Etc. It's not only "lying with statistics" but also simply twisting definitional meaning of the language. Like any number of our critical institutions, DJT has totally corrupted the CDC, NIH, and FDA. The movie Idiocracy was overly optimistic. - OS
