Of course they are pushing their agenda: Red-neck Trump supporters die from their own stupidity while infecting the intellectuals on the left. It's all about blaming Trump in some form or fashion.3 points

Its not. I couldn't care less if you do or don't wear a mask. I got attacked for my position and am simply defending myself and stating my opinions on the matter. Y'all started this, not me. The vast majority of credible doctors, medical experts and organizations on this whole planet state that wearing masks does indeed help slow the spread of Covid-19. Many cities and businesses agree and require people to wear masks. I also agree. Of course this is the internet. You can always find somebody who will back your opinion as well. What you choose to believe is up to you. I have no intentions of forcing anybody wear a mask. Just bear in mind that some of the places you go just might. Really, how hard is it just to wear a mask? Its nothing. Hardly any inconvenience at all. But, ask yourself and be honest, is wearing a mask that much of an imposition for you or does it just piss you off that someone else is telling you you have to wear one and this is just you're way of rebelling?3 points

Yeah, I saw that. I was really hoping to avoid a transfer fee and I wanted to look at the pistols. They are surplus. I'd rather be the one that picks as opposed to paying some one another $25 to hand select out of 10 or so, or for someone to just grab one and send it to me.2 points

I bought 3 firearms from them. 2 purchases in 2012. Another in 2013. I called ahead and made sure they had them in stock. I told them I was coming from Middle Tn . I got there and rang the bell on the door. They let me in and I was able to look at the gun before I bought it cause it was a used pistol. I paid in cash and did the background check and was out in under 20 minutes. Very good place. It is like a order online type place but you can pick it up in person too. But there weren't many on display. Kinda like Mid South Shooters Supply. You mainly order online but can still pick it up in person. Just call ahead to make sure you can still do that.2 points

It seems appropriate to post this: "... .Musings upon the true meaning of the Fourth of July and it's relation to today's culture... I've noticed that several of my well meaning friends have made various pronouncements as to what " everybody should do " and some of em have passed out backhanded denigrations of those who dont see things their way... They have said they were " selfish, uninformed, ignorant ", etc... This country was founded on the proposition that all men are equal and that government draws its authority, not from kings, experts, well meaning tyrants, despots, mobs, bureaucrats, politicos, and, yes, even well intended individuals; but from the consent of the governed. I say to all ya'll, in the kindest manner possible, your opinion is just that, an opinion... You or I have no warrant to do anything other than to voice that opinion. The truth is that some folks may not see things the way you do... At the end of the day; "... You are responsible for you "... " ...I am responsible to me..."... No individual private citizen has the right to demand that his opinions be imposed on others... We can debate the merits of opinions, nothing more... Remember, there is, indeed, uniformity of thought in the tyrannical lands, as its dangerous not to parrot the " official propaganda line", truthful or not.... We have " The Arena of Ideas " and " Consent of the Governed " here... Lets keep it that way... That, Brothers and Sisters us what the Fourth of July is really about...." That is all... leroy2 points

Anyone dealt with Robertson Trading Post in Henderson? I noticed on GOA, that they have several pistols I'm possibly interested in. I might be up for a trip to Henderson to check them out. Are they open to the public or doing online ordering only? Are they good people to deal with?1 point

I really don't want to bring down the tone of this very important day. I'm a solitary and usually independent old cuss, but tonight I would ask for some prayers of support for my wife, Susan, and mother-in-law Bettie. And leave it to me to forget his love...Julie. I'm sorry. We lost my brother-in-law Tad this afternoon and I had to tell my wife she'd lost her brother, and then go and tell Bettie that her son was gone. I did it, and that's all I can say. If you can remember them in your prayers for the next few days; I would appreciate it. Thank you.1 point

I'd like to add a personal experience. Last year I came down with a flu big of some sort. About 5 or 6 days in I really took a turn and was unable to get my breath. Never had anything like it. I drove myself to the ER and spent about 4 hours there and came home with a grocery list of drugs including steroids and inhalers. It took almost 6 weeks to get to the point where I just felt crappy. If this current bug is anything like that or worse then you really don't want it. It was 6 months before I began to feel better. So dO guess this latest big has me a little jiggy...1 point

I have not been off this property I live on since this mess began. The only interaction I have had was with 2 TGO Members and my daughter and Son In Law and do to their employment types both get tested everyday before they can begin work. When they go shopping for my groceries they follow all the rules. N95 Masks in public and hand sanitizer bottles carried in their pockets to use frequently before bringing my groceries in my home plus we all wear masks. I have a specific place that they put my groceries and leave. I put up the frozen foods and refrigerated stuff up and then spray off the freezer and fridge with Lysol. After I have let the other stuff sit for quite a while I will spray the bags with Lysol and let them sit another 15 minutes or so and then finish putting up my groceries. Then I wash hands and put on hand sanitizer. It has worked so far so not changing anything. "If it ain't broke don't fix it!"1 point

I don't have either brand but both have been around quite a while so if you like what you see, I wouldn't be afraid to order. My two comments about Alabama Holsters is the fit and finish IMO opinion are a touch lower than some other brands. Also it looks like their belt loops are "cut" into the holster rather than adjustable loops so you aren't able to adjust the cant if want. Regarding the closest fitting OWB holsters, choose one that has adjustable "side wing mount" belt loops rather than back mounted loops. The side wings allow it to pull the holster in tighter. That's one thing we're blessed with is a plethora of holster makers, so Google is your friend. You should have a number of brands to choose from on the search. I will throw out one that I've used a couple of times and have been pleased with is linked below. The good thing about the style linked is that the holster can also be used as an IWB if you use the IWB spring clips. While it's not as small as an IWB only holster, it gives you some flexibility if OWB is your main carry choice. https://www.multiholsters.com/shop/outside-the-waistband-holsters/2-in-1-multi-holster/1 point

No requirement has been given to wear masks outdoors. I'm wearing a mask at the gym everyday while doing weight training and cardio. I'm surviving. But yes, I'm sure wearing a mask behind a paver would be horrible. I believe you there Greg and I wouldn't do it either. I think the discussion here is around wearing a mask to the store.1 point

I went there once a couple of years ago for a set of hard to find grips they had. You have to ring a bell and tell them why you want in. The place is more of a warehouse than a store. Cluttered and difficult to find stuff in. I think about 95% of their business is internet sales. The folks there were friendly enough. But I suggest you call first and let them know you are coming.1 point

I personally like: 1. S2R Batton II for everyday carry. It's small, light, flexible but functions like a fullsize. (3rd from left) 2. The H2R Nova - basically the same as the S2R Batton II but has a right angle head and a head band. Best headlamp I've ever used and I love that I can take it off the headband and clip it on a shirt pocket, belt etc and use it hands free. 3. M2R Warrior Pro - the one I don't have, but would love to have on my go to rifle. Great full-size light, yet still a compact body and you can add the remote tailpiece (4th from the left).I'd also love to have that Seeker 2! I also really like my PL2 Mini on my G19. Super compact but super bright. Buttons are easy to work and intuitive while keeping it simple. Awesome handgun/weapon light.1 point

Well, if you live in Ringgold, you can't simply go to the show and buy a handgun anyway. You would have to have it sent over to an FFL in Georgia.1 point

In Range - Troy Sellers is TN local and really great with the unique and Krink stuff as well as standard issue builds. Robert Forbus - is another local TN guy that could do something easy like you need. He mostly sells parts and machines, but does excellent work if he takes it on. Outside of that your shipping and it'll cost a bunch for something fairly easy. Either of the above are local and world class.1 point

More effective at reducing giving the virus to others? I agree. At protecting one from getting the virus from someone who coughs or sneezes? Without eye protection, they are worthless. What is the purpose of a mask? The experts say both.1 point

Try being a city employee. You're invisible until your work happens to slightly inconvenience some citizen. Especially on residential streets. Then they go completely nuts! I don't know how many times I've heard "I pay your salary!"1 point

I support wearing masks in public, and do so myself in public spots with the exception of my morning walks where I can just avoid people by getting out of the way. While I have legit reservations about if/should government be able to mandate it aside from an enforcement of health codes for businesses, but at the same time, we should be doing the right thing, so the debate should be unnecessary. Other counties are getting this thing under control, but here we are, seemingly destined to 'Merica this up.1 point

Understandable. It can be a little tough on some of us old guys. When I wear a mask I end up breathing through my mouth. But its not so bad that I have to take it off. BTW: I've tested my blood/oxygen level with both mask on and mask off. Absolutely no difference in the readings.1 point

To anyone that hasn't dealt with the public. You haven't a clue as to what you are missing. A bunch of really good customers that you enjoy dealing with and a few soreheads that you couldn't please them if you gave them a million dollars. But the good customers outweigh the bad ones!!1 point

Not to bash you, I'm new here so idk, you may just be being ironic. But I have a wife and daughter. The idea that it's improper for them to ask for the manager when they received bad service from the employee, just because they're white, and now a camera can be put into their face, they can be insulted and threatened, and then have their future stolen from them, all for being a white woman who expected the service offered by the business, it just doesn't sit well with me. And it should not sit well with you. Have some respect for your wives and daughters, gentlemen, don't use the Karen slur.1 point

Considering the status of what's going on these days I would expect as you go out in public you will be seeing more of that as the spoiled brats have come out of Mothers basement and are now emboldened to act that way because they can. It's something we will have to get use to in the future I would imagine. All I can say is just learn to ignore them and don't give them an excuse to be worse. Attention is what they are seeking and best action is don't give them what they are seeking!!…..JMHO1 point
