That's the number of people in the hospital, as of 10am this morning with COVID-19. I normally am not too concerned with the number of positve cases either. But the fact that Knox County has seen a large rise in the number of cases, portends that hospitalizations are also going to be rising, which we are starting to see. As of right now, 9 is not a big deal. But there are only 22 ICU beds available, as of 10AM today. We could see those fill up quickly, if this continues to get worse. You can open that link and scroll down to near the bottom and see that information. Hat's off to Knox County Health Department for doing a great job getting the public this information! We are very fortunate to have such a great department!!!3 points

The left is offering no-quarter. If that isn't clear now then it never will be clear. The days of compromise are over, especially when it comes to weapons, weapon accessories, and supplies. Give the "left" an inch and they will gladly take ten miles and shame you for being upset about it.3 points

Keep in mind that hospitalized doesn't necessarily mean ICU or ventilator. My wife told me today that a friend's daughter tested positive with no symptoms. She takes ballet and the instructor got the sniffles, tested positive, so all 42 students got tested. I'm not aware that any of them are sick beyond the sniffles. So from what I've heard about reporting, that's at least 2 positives and something like 100 probable as the CDC counts all family members as probable when one is positive. That said, I agree that positive tests are nearly meaningless. Unfortunately the deaths are the most accurate, and even those are questionable.2 points

I found it - it's in the TWRA app on the register boat page: Following the Governor’s Executive Order, the TN Fish and Wildlife Commission has authorized Agency personnel to temporarily forgive those whose boats aren’t registered because of county office closures and the need to pay taxes on new boats. As such, it is advised that you keep a photo copy of your bill of sale in your vessel until such time that clerks reopen and taxes may be paid. This will allow you to present proof of ownership to an officer should you be stopped.2 points

For the past couple of months I have been fortunate enough to use a Meopta MeoStar 1-6 scope. Meopta's MeoStar spotting scope is highly regarded but their rifle scopes do not get much fanfare. I can't speak to other Meopta scopes but the MeoStar 1-6 is nice.1 point

The BRITs came to Concord to take arms from the patriots. Arms included the Canon the powder and the lead shot. The BRITs knew that without powder or lead shot a personal firearm became a club. The reason for the Canon is obvious. They also went to the ports to get the ships that had Canon on them.1 point

Basspro has been getting Herters 9MM in 500Rd boxes for around $0.18 CPR shipped. Usually in and out of stock in less than 10 minutes so you have to be quick!1 point

Thanks for the shout out AJ. There's more to teaching than just getting an NRA certificate and advertising some classes. Those who are really SERIOUS about being an excellent instructor never stop learning and pursuing training on their own. And it seems that very often when I am pursuing training opportunities on my own that more times than not Tiffany and Aqil happen to be in the same classes or at the same events. Congrats to Aqil and Tiff and if you get a chance to train with them I strongly suggest you do it.1 point

Hey man! Just seeing this. I can't thank you enough for the shout! I had a great time and although I'm biased, the course was excellent. I can't recommend it enough. I'm proud of Randy and Tiff too. It's always a great time when I can be in class with the two of them. Thanks again man and I hope to be on the firing line with you again soon. Take care, Aq1 point

Not nearly full, but it will only take a few hundred serious cases to fill our ICU beds. Like everyone else, our numbers are going up really fast. I would like nothing more than to be wrong. Like many others, I’m older with health issues, I don’t care to be compromised. There are still a few things I’d like to do in this life.1 point

What we are seeing now are the Memorial Day numbers. I’ll bet the numbers from the protest and people going out to clubs and Beale Street are finally going to overwhelm Memphis in the coming weeks.1 point

We’ve been very fortunate on that front. I believe the membership of this place is to thank for that.1 point

The whole zombie thing has always been a metaphor for a sudden collapse of civilization and finding yourself on your own, forced to fight to survive. While the zombie threat may be fiction, it does make people think about what could happen in our society if the S was to ever HTF. Zombies aren't real. But everyday we are surrounded by the mindless masses who would very dangerously panic in a real crisis.1 point
