I bought a new orient komasu, or mako iii depending on where you buy it. Orient is owned by seiko, and the komasu is taking the place of the SKX. The sop in New York that I bought it from wanted a picture for their Facebook so I sent them this lol!!

I recently took a two day knife making class with Burt Foster up in Bristol. He is a highly regarded knife maker, and he also offers classes for up to 3 people. We made a kitchen chopping knife from start to finish, and it was fun, plus I learned a ton. Highly recommend!

It certainly does suck. I’ve had back issues for over twenty years. Bulging discs. Three of them. A week ago last Thursday I had to go to the ER at 2 am. I could barely breathe due to muscle spasms from the disc issues. Since then I’m about 95% back to normal. I’m ready to get back to night fishing!

i invite you to shoot a USPSA or IDPA match and you must shoot all head shots.

Checking with the receiving FFL was a great course of action. I'll add, it's worth seeing what a local dealer will charge you to ship. They might do it cheaper than you could via FedEx or UPS. Worth the cost of a phone call, at any rate...

Probably so lol.They only had the night sight Blue Label 43x.I took advantage of the annual DD214 Blue Label program.The girl who helped me said they couldn’t keep them in stock.I was going to get the stock sight version and put black Warren Tacticals on it but I really liked the front night sight. I will still put a Warren Tactical rear on it as my older eyes love the .160 wide notch.

It's nice to be a part of this community. I've been back in Tennessee for a few years, previously having lived in North Carolina. I was an active shooter there, and was on the board of the Durham Pistol and Rifle Club. I've been a competitive shooter, mainly in Vintage CMP matches, and some 3 gun. Just like in 2016 . . . and 2012 . . . and 2008 . . . and 2004 . . . I'm beginning to think that a good cyclical approach is to buy stock in gun/ammo companies at the midterms, and sell it on the Presidential years.

If you didn't feel you were in enough danger to shoot them in the chest then you were not in enough danger to shoot them PERIOD. Lethal force is LETHAL force and shooting someone a LITTLE is just like shooting them a lot. Once the gun comes out and goes BANG everything changes. Its not just for funsies anymore.....And what happens when you try to play Lone Ranger and shoot dude in the gun hand and the bullet ricochets off his gun and into his carotid artery? Or you shoot dude in the leg because you "don't want to hurt him" and you hit him square in the femoral artery and he bleeds out in 60 seconds? Now what? Oooops? "Sorry, my bad"...? There is a reason that virtually all police departments including the FBI dropped "shooting to wound" as a strategy a half century ago. And the only people that argue for it is people who have ZERO experience with, or education in violence. So they should probably hop on their unicorn and ride it over the rainbow and stop making ignorant suggestions about things they have no idea about.

Teflon tape like you use on pipe threads will work to stop leaks around threads if that is where your leak is around the threads of the jar to feeder. I have used it a couple times with good success.

Some manufacturers market flatpoints and truncated cone toward competitive shooters who have to knock down steel. A flatter bullet is less likely to ricochet or deflect off a steel popper than a round nose when hit at an angle or on the edge, or so the theory goes. I don’t necessarily buy this theory, but I know from experience that edge shots and glancing hits can fail to drop steel (especially when shooting minor), so FP and TC bullets may have a small advantage.

All my ammo and reloading supplies were lost in the boating accident. As a result I sold all my guns and invested in liquor futures and baseball cards.
