  1. As I grow older, I love .22s more than ever. I have a Winchester Model 63 automatic that was my Dad's. I have been wanting to add either a lever action or a pump to my collection. I used to own a Marlin 39a which I liked, but I decided to pursue a pump. I shot a Henry pump that was really nice, but I remembered the .22 pump that I shot at the Hamilton County Fair as a kid: a Winchester 62a. After a lot of searching, I found a 1958 model in VA that is near mint and I picked it up today. Haven't shot it yet, but I can hardly wait! Just wanted to share a look with you!

  3. Why not look for wifi only, refurbished units. If the sole purpose is to couch surf and stream i see no reason why you should get locked into a service co tract from a carrier. Also, android tablets will usually allow you to add a micro SD card for extra storage brunging the base unit price down even more as you don't need to fixate on the storage as heavily.

  4. Everything is application driven so it depends on what we are surviving. “Survival” to me implies some form of civil unrest. If “Survival” means traipsing around out in the wild, disregard my response; I will not be doing that. But none of those, an AR10 and a full-size M&P would be my choice. Rifle: The AR10 because it can do it all. From close quarter combat to 1000-yard shots. Handgun: The full-size M&P in either 40S&W or 9mm for quality and capacity. (.40S&W for me )

  5. Keep an eye on Amazon and check the reviews. A couple of years ago my wife bought 5 cheap tablets that were on special for $50 each. I think most of them are still working. I had to replace my tablet with a small laptop. 32 or even 64GB won’t cut it anymore unless its just for a dedicated purpose like watching TV.

  7. Schlicter's "Indian Country" was very good, IMHO it's the best of the series thus far. "Collapse" was okay, it does give a good idea of how guerillas operate. I'm looking forward to his next novel.

  8. No, but I’ve been waiting on the PSA MP5 clone for like 3 years now. They have a habit of dropping news about upcoming projects with overly ambitious release dates. It’ll eventually come.

  10. Trump has nothing to do with the virus and couldn't have stopped it. Entire governments are failing to stop it. What Trump has failed at is keeping his mouth shut, especially on Twitter, for the last four years. I've enjoyed what he did for our economy, but this current epidemic is probably going to unravel a lot of that. Or all of it. And why that's his fault is because it's one thing to put your country first and negotiate deals heavily in their favor, but it's another thing entirely to do that and then rub the losers' noses in it repeatedly to satisfy your own ego. Now that our economy is vulnerable and because we will be trailing behind the rest of the world in recovering from COVID-19, the rest of the world is going to have a head-start on rebooting their economies and will use it to work toward establishing an upper hand. Because their business leaders and government leaders hate the guy and hate having been subjected to the taunts of a Poor Winner. So, they're going to break it off in our economy's ass to teach Trump a lesson and try to keep him out of office for another term. That's my prediction at least. And I'm not anti-Trump. I'm just Pro "STFU Dude".

  12. You may not be in that situation. I did get swindled by Verizon one time when I switched from AT&T. I bought a phone with unlimited data. When I'd gotten home I was looking through my bag and found a Jetpack which is like a mobile hotspot that they had snuck in there. I returned to the store thinking they had gave it to me by mistake. They said no it was mine. I asked if it cost anything and they also said no. I found out later that it wasn't free and they added a line to my service and I'd have to pay $15/mth for the jetpack service. I didn't have a need or want the thing but I was stuck with at that point. I could either pay the early cancellation fee or keep the thing and pay for it for 2 years. I did the math and it would've been cheaper to just pay the fee. So I did that. I'm still mad about that and it's been two years ago.

  14. Not having the really really fast interweb, is my one and only complaint, period. But our speeds now are at least high enough to watch an entire YouTube video without painful buffering. Now I can go do that corrective eye surgery on myself that I've always wanted to try!

  15. "Glock 45 in 9mm". Seriously? Who was the non-genius in Glock's marketing department who decided on THAT model number for their latest 9mm? Talk about confusing people. "Hey you want to see my new Glock 45?" "Sure! So is it the new model 36 or a 21?" "No, it's a 45." "OK. But which 45 is it?" "It's not a .45, it's a 9mm." "Dude. This is just insane. Don't you know which Glock you got?"
