  1. Please dispense with the “won’t happen here”. We see that maxim disproven on a daily basis it seems like. If Abdul and Fatima come over here and have a baby named Omar, well then little O is natural born.

  4. 20 trucks in my neighborhood today. Out of state crew set a bunch of new poles. Still no power - but it’s looking better than it did. I bribed a union crew (my kids) with Sonic to help with the tree that we lost. They took a bunch of breaks but got the job done.

  5. Those companies knew what they were doing when they did it. Was it criminal? Probably not, due to clear rules not being outlined. They just didn’t expect the President and the media to out them publicly. That’s what happens when you quickly legislate to pass out free money. It may be necessary to come back and change the rules because some dirt bags will try to take advantage and justify it by saying “That’s business”.

  6. I'm curious to see where all the social distancing, disinfecting, etc. ends up. Seems to me that going totally nuts about cleaning could cause worse pandemics down the road. Herd immunity is best established by exposure. Vaccines are a big thing here, but not so much globally.

  7. For what it's worth, I've seen a couple of studies now showing a strong correlation between vitamin D deficiency and the severity of Covid 19 symptoms. It seems that something like 60% of Americans are deficient in D, 98% of deaths are deficient in D, and 87% of hospitalizations are deficient in D. A doctor in Turkey is studying 100 people to see if vitamin D is also a preventive, but the study won't end until July 31. Since vitamin D has other health benefits, I take a 5,000 IU gel cap of D3 every day. There are some rare risks if you have certain preexisting conditions, but you can research that online.

  9. For some reason the image that came to mind with the title was a shirt that said “I’m concealing” or has an arrow pointing to my hip with “gun” on it. Lol, now i need that shirt for the irony.

  11. The ninth circuit alone has earned Trump my vote in November. The thought of him replacing RBG with Amy Coney Barrett fills me with glee.

  13. It is obvious or economy wasn't nearly as strong as they made it seem. I feel like we've just told all these corporations that they can do whatever the hell they want and big mamma fed and the American people will bail them out. Companies like Boeing were already struggling horribly. They should not be bailed out. Airlines have had record years leading up to this and used all their money for stock buy backs. This money should at least come with stipulations that they can't do buy backs for a decade. It really seems like we care more about corporations than working class families. I don't get it.

  16. There might be a couple laying around here. (Actually, two of these aren't revolvers. It'll take a true gun nut to figure out which two.)

  18. Oh my do I love revolvers. Here are just a few of my stainless when I started trying to figure out how I wanted to display.

  19. Is this old school enough?
    1 point
  20. Sure. Here are some pics. Because revolvers threads are just worthless without pics. I just picked up a new Blackhawk Convertible but don’t have any pics yet. I still need a 6” 686 Post-Lock that’s tapped, but I haven’t found one yet for less than new price. I want to take that scope off the 617 and put on a 686.

  21. Thought I’d give this a try. I’m not sure whether I want to make it semi auto capable or just have a display or dummy gun. Has anyone else on here built one of these or done similar work?

  22. Nope, that's not it. The source of my confusion stems from me not paying attention.
