My mother was the executive assistant to the CEO of the Davenport family that originally owned the Krystal. Mom died in 2017 so your mention of the Krystal today brings back some Krystal memories, so please indulge me for a moment. In high school on a dare I ate 32 Krystals on a Friday night at the Krystal on Cherokee Blvd. in Chattanooga (hometown!) (I also lost all 32 minutes later . . .) But I did win a Marlin 39A as I had to eat 30 to win the rifle from a friend. And he did give me the prize! Anyone remember when they made donuts with a machine? I'd die for a hot maple donut . . . They used to serve hot syrup with their waffles Their fried chicken was awesome! The family and the company were both very nice to my mother and myself when my father was ill and dying4 points

SKS. Rifles are most useful in a rifle caliber. I've never understood pistol caliber carbines.2 points

S&W 629 Classic 6" 44Mag. I've wanted a .44 mag for 30 years or more but it was hard to spend that much money for something I would not carry or shoot that much. Now I don't know why I waited so long.1 point

The new SDS 1911A1 made by Tisas is getting some strong reviews. It’s a very faithful USGI copy imported by a Knoxville outfit so it’s got Knoxville, TN very tastefully stamped on the frame. They’re going for around $330-350 online.1 point

Picking only one gun for any application is tough. But If I could only take one rifle with me in a SHTF scenario it would be my DPMS 308 Recon LR-GII. I have plenty of ammo and mags for it, its applications include both close-in and long-range targets, and the .308 Winchester is devastating. Mine is equipped with a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x 44mm scope.1 point

For the true meaning of the 2nd we have the God given right to own, yes a bazooka. However the 2nd has been stepped on WAY to much!!! The biggest we have is 7.62 NATO and 7mm REM MAG, They are AR500 plate I picked up from a member here. I think the targets will work fine, puts them at an angle to make the fragments hit the ground.1 point

If you have had the proper amount to drink both White Castle and Krystals tastes good. (No ones goes there unless they are drunk)1 point

Range update. I got my gun back this past Thursday. It is indeed a new gun with a new serial number. I went to the range and fired 100 rounds just to see what happens and only had one fte. Other than that, everything went off without a hitch. I didn't even have adjust the sights as they were pretty much accurate out of the box. So far, so good. Still gotta put some more rounds through it before I am 100 % confident but today was a good start. Enclosed is a photo of my target I shot at...1 point

Bottom line we all know what we are describing... I still and will always use channel locks and dikes. picked up a Trijicon, 3.25 MOA, DeltaPoint is 2.5 and not widely available s the Trijicon. Guess the bigger “window” is preferred.1 point

I'd rather discuss the proper vs general populas usage of a term than the 2020 election. I'm so done with the with politics right now an RMR discussion is refreshing.1 point

One guy in the back row looks to have a Thompson strapped to his chest. Couple of the guys maybe have anti tank weapons? They look like they could be WW2 resistance fighters? A movie set is a good guess, wouldn't surprise me at all. ETA: The three guys with mystery weapons look to have PIATs. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/PIAT Looks like maybe they were Polish: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/85427724154124199/1 point

I guess that's up to the person you intended it for to determine that. Morgan88 appears to be a rather new member and thus not accustom to the personalities on this site yet.1 point

Yeah, that’s wrong too. Those are also brands, not products. The RMR is a Trijicon optic. I’ve been shooting in matches with red dots for about 5 years and I was a late adopter compared to my buddies. I bought and sold 3 with RMRs before falling in love with the Roland Special with a Leupold DPP Pro. If anything, it’s going to be the year of Holosun. They are doing some innovative stuff.1 point

Imagine how great a place this would be if people thought half as much about the death of Jesus as they do this clown.1 point
