I have a big varicose vein in my left leg and a small one in my right. They runs the length of my legs. I want you to know these are a very large protruding rope vein. When I get on my treadmill and start walking, about 10 min into my walk, the legs starts aching where the veins are. Went to the vein center in Nashville and the Dr injected a medication substance in it (left leg) and the vein suppose to disappear. I asked him how it worked, and he said the liquid shrinks the vein to the point it dries up. Took about 5 minutes and only felt the stick of a needle with the numbing meds. Never felt anything after. I had my veins stripped 12 years ago, in both legs, and this was nothing like that. If you have vein problems I highly recommend this procedure. I will post again in 2 weeks when I do a return visit so he can check it out. Medicare and my supplemental insurance pay for it totally. My daughter is a ultrasound tech, and she scolded me for allowing this vein to get this large. She says she sees people every day with large veins with blood clots in them because they are prone to getting clots. She knows I am diabetic and says a blood clot could cause me to loose my leg. Going to have my right leg done after I go back. I will let you know how it turns out.6 points

Hi all! I've used my new 3D printer to make a replacement lid for the Lee Hand Priming Tool with the round tray, which you can't buy anymore from Lee or FS Reloading. Mine got broke, so I designed one that fits the round Lee tray and thought there might be a few others that may need one, so I'll be happy to print one up for you. I'm asking $5.00 to your door, and $2.00 for additional lids if sent in the same shipment (up to 4 total.) If you already have a 3D printer, I've posted the files on Thingiverse so you can print your own. I prefer PayPal Friends & Family, but I'll also take a check or cash (if you trust the PO and/or me.) If you live in the Memphis area and we do this FTF, it's $2.00 for the first, and a $1.00 each additional lid (up to 4.) Please send me a PM if you're interested. Regards, Ed3 points

You missed my point. My use of the word "correctly" wasn't probably the best choice. I'll try to clarify the point I was trying to make. Yes, Trijicon has a registered trademark for RMR, which stands for Ruggedized Miniature Reflex. Holosun which you referenced, makes similar optics which they are not allowed to call it an RMR due to the trademark, so they call it an Open Reflex Sight which is a generic term. Is the Holosun rugged, yes. Is it a miniature size, yes. Is it a reflex optic, yes. I hear and see others use the term RMR generically to refer to this type of optic. Is it correct, no. But the same thing happens all the time with other products. I used Band-Aid and Kleenex as examples of the most widely used terms for an adhesive bandage and a tissue. Is that correct, no but people use it none the less. Back to RMR, to me that's the quickest way for people to identify what type of "red dot" is being referenced rather than an open reflex optic or a "tubular" type red dot. Just like the OP's title and lead post using the term RMR. It's just convenient. That's all I was trying to say.1 point

MacGyver, it was totally painless and seems to be working. I walked 2 miles on my treadmill today, and no pain in that leg. I have to wear a strong compression stocking, for 7 days/24 hrs per day, and that is the extent of follow up. It took longer for the prep than the procedure took. You have to shave you leg prior to your visit, then they treat this like surgery. Everything has to be sterile in the room as they do the treatment.1 point

Had an interesting discussion on this with a coworker that grew up in South Africa. He said as a kid they vacationed near the border with Rhodesian (which is now Zimbabwe) where this gun looks to have been from. He said just going from his home city to there they rode in a motorcade with armed front and rear cars. He can see this gun being marketed the way it is because of needing to do this anytime you left the city. @Garufa beat me to the internet link. Here is the basic info: The Rhogun was a Rhodesian submachine gun that was produced by BHS Ltd. History The Rhogun was developed in 1977 during the Rhodesian Civil War. It was designed as a cheap, cost-efficient submachine gun that could be produced in large volumes. A semi-automatic model, distributed by Bulawayo Armory, was also offered for civilian use, primarily intended as a personal defense weapon for rural farmers. Ultimately, by the time the war ended in 1979, the Rhogun had not sold well and few had been produced. Design The Rhogun was a basic blowback-operated submachine gun that utilized a wrap-around bolt design with a single guide rod and return spring. The magazine feed was not in line with the bolt path unless the grip safety was squeezed, which would raise the magazine up into the correct feeding position. Perhaps owing to its low standard of manufacture, the Rhogun was of poor reliability.1 point

Gamer guns have Warren Tactical Sevigny Competition plain black rear and fiber optic front with some combination of wider rear notch/narrow front sight. Have a couple carry guns with the same setup. Also have plain black Ameriglo or Dawson rear with wider notch and .125" tritium front on other carry guns. I despise dots or outlines on a rear sight--just a distraction. Dawson Precision doesn't sell a plain black rear/tritium front set, but they sell each separately.1 point

Better than half our congregation isn't old enough to buy a can of snuff. Keep it in your pocket or holster is my opinion.1 point

I took this course as my first real training course (the HCP course really doesn't count). Two primary components, lecture/classroom work and range work. The lecture portion was outstanding - nothing earth-shattering but presented in a way that allows you to convert that "this situation doesn't feel right" to I know why this situation feels wrong which will allow faster and more intentional responses. As someone subject to analysis paralysis, having the patterns of bad guy behavior explained will make it much easier to take action instead of standing on the street wondering why the situation feels wrong. The shooting component was great. As someone limited to a no draw from holster indoor range for most of my shooting, the ability to combine moving, drawing and firing was great. I got better and more importantly learned what better feels like so that I can monitor myself to prevent bad habits from coming back. We got a lot of drills in and there was a lot of personal attention to my technique and motion. I recommend Randy as an instructor and am looking forward to taking future classes from him.1 point

RMR is the name of the trijicon pistol sized red dot, the nomenclature gets a little fuzzy as RMR is used frequently for any pistol sized red dot. The hole patterns and footprints are standard-ish with a lot of dot manufacturers using the trijicon RMR footprint as their pattern. Some firearm manufacturers are going the plate route and offering plates that the user switches to accept multiple dot configurations. I know vortex, leupold, and trijicon are probably the most common footprints out there for full size pistols.1 point

My wife brought the closing of the Madison Krystal to my attention, so I did a little google thing and found that out. Saddens me. I'm not a White Castle fan. Just don't taste the same to me. Get the urge for a bag of Krystals every few months. Then remember that night why I shouldn't eat them. lol0 points
