  1. Better than half our congregation isn't old enough to buy a can of snuff. Keep it in your pocket or holster is my opinion.

  2. I don't think handling a gun in a crowded room is a good idea unless there's hot lead about to be thrown around.

  4. BTW RCBS used to maybe still make washers to fit under your dies that are the exact thickness of the difference between a 38sp and a 357mag. Slicker than snot. Never have to readjust your dies to change calibers. They work for me there and with 44spl and 44mag.

  8. If your kids really don’t want it, find someone at a local range or a friend that is getting into guns, give it to them and make their day. They will still have to pay for the stamp, the can lives on and your boys won’t have to deal with it.

  9. Do you use AVG Antivirus? If so try this: Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu at the top right -> Settings -> General -> Exceptions -> URL's, add your favorite site.

  10. I may have to argue that to an extent, probably close to 20 years ago I bought 3 or 4 boxes of .308 at Wally world for my new to me then Encore pistol. I wanted same batch # to test with. There were 3 or 4 without primers. Can you imagine the buck of a lifetime steps out and because you loaded your gun in the dark didn't see no primer?? I will tell you all though if you intend to keep shooting either stack the loaded stuff up deep or have enough components. I guess most know that the ammo mfgs. make more profit off of loaded ammo, they really don't care about reloaders much, my $0.02. Hey Greg I happen to like Midsouth shooters supply they had IMR-4895 8lb. jug for $184.39, you can pick it up in Clarksville and save hazmat. I also like Natchez shooters supply.

  13. I agree that they are growing in popularity. In fact, I just got my Glock 20 (10 mm) back from getting it billed for the Trijicon. I also added a KKM barrel, 20 lb recoil spring, steel rod and a 3.5 lb trigger connector. Last Saturday was first time to shoot it and while it is different than iron sights, I can tell I am really gonna like it. Mark

  14. Be careful with that. Technically, silencers have to be repaired by an SOT.

  15. There are other suppressor manufacturers who will do work, re-core, etc, on other brands.

  16. This may the first time I have ever heard of someone who doesn't like a suppressor. I won't hardly shoot without one on any gun outside of a shotgun, revolver, and some of my collector guns I don't want to thread. Please give it away before you give it to the BATFE. Someone will still have to pay $200 for the stamp so it's not like they aren't investing anything.

  17. Unless it has some specific niche usage/history - there’s likely not a can on the market that’s going to bring more than a couple hundred bucks on the secondary market. Rimfire cans are regularly given away in promotions for purchasing another product - buyer just pays the tax stamp. That makes the secondary market on rimfire cans pretty shallow. Have your boys shot the suppressor? About the fastest way to get someone on board with shooting suppressed is to let them shoot suppressed.

  19. Wear it on your person like you normally do. I can see many things going bad on the back of a church pew, or in a book, etc. You lose a degree of control there. JMHO

  24. This is a bit late in the thread, but thought i"d add this, FWIW. I have ordered seedlings of Shellbark hickory, the large nut variety, ( small saplings about 1/8" dia. shank, from the Tenn. Forestry Service in East TN. Had to order 25 ( minimum order ), $40. I'm having them shipped FedEx to be delivered in March. I'm not starting a tree farm, so there will be several left over, depending on how this goes, LOL. If anyone ( Greg, thought of you ), wants any, let me know. These will be free to my TGO buds, out of the goodness of my heart, LOL. I know most don't believe I have that organ. My ex said I was the only living heart donor she ever saw. I only plan on planting maybe 2 or 3 in my back yard.

  25. Okay. First. Yes, you can absolutely transfer to an individual within the same state. Assuming that you were selling, and I was buying, I would pay you, we would fill out the Form 4 with you as the seller and me buyer and then wait for that paperwork to come back. You would retain possession until the Form 4 came back. It would be mailed to you and you would let me know when to come pick it and the can up. It's the same as buying from a shop, you just act as the shop. Looks like a nice can. Unfortunately, I don't think you are going to get what you want out of it. For that money, you start getting really close to some of the top end cans on the market. Because of the price of the stamp, cans don't do well on the secondary. And with your company being defunct, it makes that "lifetime purchase" a financial liability if anything goes wrong. The other thing working against it is the size. The trend in cans right now is K cans (short) or modular cans that can be shortened. A can that long isn't really tickling pickles these days. Personally, I think it would be great as the permanent can on my 77/22 since the length on the rifle isn't going to hurt anything. OH, and one more thing, do you know the materials?

  28. The work of casting, powder coating and loading my own personalized loads is a lot cheaper and more enjoyable than spending my money on factory loads which may or may not perform to my satisfaction. When the radical lefties get control of congress and put a "red flag" sin tax { remember cigarettes} on factory ammo shooting will get really expensive. Besides I just consider it a vital part of knowing how to survive, which will not be easy if shtf .

  29. Buy as much of it as you can and stack it deep. I've long said that ammunition is the way that the antis will eventually strangle the 2A.

  30. I spoke to my younger son about it and he completely understands. Most likely it'll end up with the BATF. At that point I won't care anyway. Since its not worth much and doesn't take up much room in the safe, I've decided to just keep it. Who knows, maybe someday the zombies will come?
