James Madison, in Federalist Paper No. 46 wrote that the Constitution preserves "the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation ... (where) the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms." Thomas Jefferson wrote: "What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms." Too many Americans believe the Second Amendment grants Americans the right to own firearms only to go hunting and for self-protection. The framers of our Constitution had no such intent in mind.

In Kandahar in 2002, a Canadian infantry battalion was attached to the US brigade I was in. My platoon got to spend a lot of time working with them (one of the cooler experiences during my time in). They had some version of that Elcan on their M16 and M4 rifles. Damn thing made the rifle as awkward as toting a curling bar, but from what I heard, those guys were happy to have it when they were sent north and east up in the mountains. All that to say, maybe there is some Canadian marksmanship manual for them hiding on the internet somewhere...here's a start. Hopefully pro-2nd Virginians will be able to beat this kind of legislation back. Attacks on the 2nd Amendment and personal protection liberties across the country at the local, state and federal level is alarming to say the least.

This should be watched closely. I think it’s very dangerous. I also think that this is the first of many attempts, by those on the left, to hamper any potential or perceived uprisings. This bill’s Patron is Louise Locus. She’s held this seat since 1992. She knows the ins and outs of VA politics. I suspect this bill will be passed during the next session.

Lowers are going for Sub $50 in many places, so it's not hard to stay legal. If ever given only one choice, choose pistol, you can always go back and forth then.

I got an email from rosesimin.com advertising a sale. So, I went to the web site and did a little shopping. I figured I had either bought from these guys or one of their partners. I did a quick google search and I didn't see anything negative. Well, I fell for the good deals and made a purchase. I bought 4 pairs of pants Sunday nite and Monday morning I got a FedEx tracking. I was in FedEx yesterday and ask them to track it and they said FedEx does not has possession of the package. FedEx told me anyone can create a label without leaving their home. So when I got home yesterday I did another google search of rosesimin.com and there is many many complaints it's a rip off site. I called my credit card company and told them that I am an idiot, they turned off the credit card and refunded my stupidity. I think I will put on my velcro walking shoes and go to the mall for a power walk.
