Well, got my hands on one. The grip is similar to the texture of the M&P 2.0. The trigger is long but smooth, the reset is considerably short, the finish is not stellar, but it's a sub $300 gun. And, as the G2, Canik mags fit it. The 15 rd Canik mags fit as flush as the Taurus mags. I really wish the trigger take up wasn't so dang long, but it is smooth. Anxious to try one on paper to see what it does.2 points

That’s not true. Ford lowered the recommended tire pressure so the Explorer could pass the rollover tests. Firestone told them they couldn’t do that. They did it anyway and bunch of people died. There’s no evidence to imply fault by the victims. Fords lucky they weren't charged criminally. Not a good example to make your point with. But probably a good example of why corporations need to be held responsible.2 points

I can say this with absolute honesty… I wouldn’t go out on Black Friday if they were giving Shields away for free.2 points

Defective product or defective user? That doesn't seem to matter.2 points

Further proof that privacy is an antiquated notion. It simply no longer exists. Thanks millennials that want to save the world and retire at 30, lol.2 points

I’ve had my eye on one in natural micarta - the sheepsfoot seals the deal for me. On a similar note, this Smith and Sons lockback sod buster is one of my all time favorites. It’s only available every now and then, but if I was looking for a small knife, a sod buster profile would be in the running.1 point

It does say Made In USA. Got my shock for the day, LOL. Anyway, I went to HF & bought one. Haven't had the chance to try it out yet, maybe tomorrow, depending on temp.& wind chill. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Be prepared to be envious ( well, maybe ).1 point

Yea maybe, but if it's anything like their pole saw it will be an oregon chain. Edit: Weird, but it looks like it is stamped "Made in USA"1 point

I have. I have the originals and love them. I don't use them enough to necessarily want noise cancellation...but I may go for the Pro version anyway. I guess $125.00 or so for the newer ones with Wireless Charging Case or $200 for the Pro's and I'm a buyer.1 point

Yeah, at least they toss in the "edc" kit for the bit more it costs. Though I never see me using it. lol Unfortunately the $280 ($330 before rebate) becomes $330 ( $380 - $50) after shipping and tax. Then tack on $20 transfer. So before bgc it runs you $350 For the base 2.0. At Academy, if you manage to get in line in time you get the red laser model with edc kit for $349 before rebate which is $383 after tax. So $333 after rebate before bgc.1 point

Yep, and since PSA collects Tennessee sales tax, you will save a transfer and shipping at SMG&A if you are in East Tennessee.1 point

Same deal at Smoky Mt Knife Works. I believe the 2.0 is $250 after rebate.1 point

Yes, call Batf. Don't want to hijack this thread, but I had a gun stolen not long ago. A Smith & Wesson Model 10-6 HB .38 Special. Serial # D191385. Its easy to spot due to a black aftermarket finish and rubber grips. I had loaned it to a lady friend who is disabled and lives by herself in a rather questionable part of Memphis. Several months ago she had to have surgery and because she lives alone had to spend about 6 weeks in a nursing home until she was able to care for herself. All told she was away from home for about 2 months. Her landlord is cheap and has a habit of hiring cheap labor for repairs. (drunks and druggies). We know he was in the house at least twice while she was gone. BTW: we do not suspect him. We think one of his laborers took it. She just noticed it was gone about a month ago. Anyway she called the Police and they sent an officer out to take a report. The officer called me and I gave him a full description and the serial number. A detective has contacted both of us to say that the gun has been entered into the database and they are watching for it. I've also entered it into the Hotgunz.com data base. So if anybody should run across it, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know.1 point

I don't see that it has much of anything to do with the 2nd Amendment. It's a product liability issue. Our legal system has decided that it's ok to sue the manufacturer of an item when someone gets hurt using it in a way neither endorsed nor intended.... "reasonably foreseeable misuse". People sued Ford and Firestone when their grossly under inflated tires blew out. People sued McD's after spilling hot coffee on themselves. Ad nauseum... It can't be an individual's fault because that implies some level of personal responsibility for one's actions. It's much easier to assign fault to the faceless corporation. And they usually have more money to pay out.1 point

So I understand it is a chainsaw chain sandwiched between two metal plates running at a high rpm. What could go wrong?0 points
