  1. The thinking left really is upset with Robert Francis because he is laying the truth of what they’ve been after out there. After decades of denial, one of theirs was dumb enough to be honest. I say the more we can signal boost his words, the better. Don’t let them get away with the lies that they don’t really want to confiscate and ban them all again. Make them wear Robert Francis and his words like a millstone around their necks for all of eternity.

  2. Remember that there is a difference between those at the top of the leftist movement and the masses of "useful idiots" at the bottom. Always has been...Lenin and Stalin were not uneducated or dumb or "victims of their feelings". George Soros (and the others pushing for a 21st century worldwide leftist "Aristocracy") is not "dumb" , he's a cold calculating snake who makes great use of those ill educated emotionally driven "useful idiots" who can't see that all the causes they are pushing for (no private ownership of guns , no personally owned vehicles, no commercial air travel , no cows, universal health care, etc) will end up being the means of controlling and enslaving them. Leftist domination of the world as a goal did not simply end with the collapse of the Soviet Union. The "communism " part is just a tool to advance an end. It did not just go away. Those ultra rich "citizen of the world aristocrats" who still want a one world government to rule over the masses are just as dangerous to individual freedom and liberty * as Stalin , Khrushchev or Lenin ever was. And the disturbing part is all the "useful idiots" in the US who would piss away all the freedom that is their birthright, that was paid for with the blood of their forefathers in order to be perpetually "safe from getting their feelings hurt " when no one can EVER truly guarantee safety of any kind. * Liberty....Funny that the leftists that now call themselves LIBERALS never use the word LIBERTY. They do not want liberality or liberty...they want control of others and to limit thought and discourse if it deviates from their beliefs. Look up the definition of liberal sometime and see how little it describes the modern American left....

  3. Welcome. Lots of people here to help with the questions. Get you a benefactor membership and put your stuff up for sale. The buy sell section is pretty good.

  5. I’d mostly agree with this except for one snag. It doesn’t apply to our situation. That’s why I brought up having different worldview. For it to apply we would have to assume that folks have the same end goal in mind and that a common path forward can be found to that goal of only we think hard enough about it. I no longer believe that. The world I want to live in and the world leftists want to live in look very little like each other and no amount of critical thinking will get folks working at cross purposes to the same place. They are thinking very clearly, they just don’t want what you want.

  7. No, it isn’t. It makes folks feel good to think that the other side is dumb or unthinking, but the truth is that many of them just have a worldview that is diametrically opposed to yours, or mine (which are very different from each other). A lot of these folks may intentionally ignore things that they don’t want to see, but that doesn’t make them unthinking, just human. Most all people do that to some extent or another. I do my best to never allow myself to fall into the trap of believing my opponents are dumb. Some of them may be crazy, or just plain evil, but they aren’t dumb.

  10. Most cases the gun was tied to the punt (boat) and fired at birds sitting on the water. This is also the reason you can't shoot water foul on the water, they must be on the wing.

  11. I would LOVE to see this cat publicly challenge Beto to a televised gun debate. Think Beto would accept?

  12. Its hard to tell, but it looks like there might be a mount to the boat that is blocked by his head in the first picture? Surely that isn’t just laying there. But that’s a big azz gun!

  13. Yeah I guess it’s a good thing for us that Washington and Franklin and Adams and Jefferson didn’t have anything to risk..... The point I’m making is that the sheer scale of what would have to be done if even a small percentage say “No” is not something that many people have the political will ( or stomach) for . We are not talking about trying to pacify a country the size of Iraq or Switzerland or Germany we are talking about a country the size of EUROPE . And you are right. The 97% of people may well decide that life is too easy to rock the boat and that they are happy with peaceful(?) servitude instead of dangerous liberty... It is the other 3% or even 2% or 1% that would make things much more difficult than O’Rourke thinks it would be. And lastly, this is not at all something anyone in heir right mind is hoping for. In fact it would be a truly worst case scenario for A LOT of people on both sides. But if we were ever going to see something that might light the match that causes the whole powder keg to go up something like this might be the catalyst. And that is why I pray that cooler heads prevail and they give up this idea.

  15. It took the full force of the US military and a coalition of nations 10 years to put down an insurgency in Iraq which is a country the size of Texas...and they still were not completely successful. There are an estimated 100 MILLION gun owners in the US. If just 3% of them say "Hell No" then this country ceases to exist as it now stands. And the number may well be low because people often lie to pollsters about gun ownership. THINK about that. Think about what it would take to bring a 3 million person guerrilla force under control if the simply do not want to be controlled? Think about what it means if just a tiny militant fringe of that 3% decides that taking the head off the snake (or the heads off the Hydra) is the right thing to do...... And since this "Army" does not wear uniforms and is not "connected" by structure it will give whole new meaning to "sleeper cells". Just a hard core 1% of the 3% would be 30,000 "fanatics". We didn't kill that many insurgents in Iraq between 2003 and 2011.... I hate to sound like an alarmist but whichever way the next election goes half the country will feel they have been disenfranchised. If the liberal/ socialist /communist side wins and tries to implement (force feed) the same failed policies that made the 20th century genocides possible then you will likely see a percentage of people who feel their leaders not only do not respect them but are declaring war on them cease to accept that government as legitimate. What happens when those people declare war back and have a very different rules of engagement than what we are used to seeing? Beto and the others really need to re think this.... what they think they want is not what they will get. There is a reason Lincoln did not want to "punish" the South because he knew the country would be looking at a 100 year guerrilla war as best case scenario.

  16. I had never heard of The Gun Club of TN so I googled it, and WOW!!! Dang, very nice but well above (and I do mean WELL ABOVE) this country boy’s reach. Shucks, I would feel out of place at a place like that anyways. Besides, pretty happy at the bottom of the hay field with my dirt mound, in-laid railroad ties, and metal targets that only talk back to me when I hit’em!!
