  1. Happy 4th of July. As many here I am not ashamed of my love for this country and do not apologize for my show of patriotism. Have a great day. After reading about the anti-American controversy between the democrats and Trump, and then Nine Line and Nike/Kaepernick, I went to the nine line website. I think quoting their tenents and call to action on this day is appropriate. I also think I'll buy some T-shirts.

  4. The man responsible for the Mustang and for keeping Chrysler alive passed away yesterday at 94 years old. I read his autobiography in middle school and fell in love with nonfiction at that point. Thank you, Lee, for everything. You will be missed.

  5. I have to order parts from RCBS and had excellent service. And the kicker....NO charge. Not even for shipping. It was for de-priming pins and they even sent extras.

  8. At $200 in it, you did fine. As for 'real life value", Finn'ed 91/30's usually bring about whatever the going rate on the Russian refurbs is. People who are into markings might pay a slight premium for the 41 stamps, but as a rule, these rifles don't seem to sell as well as the better known Finn variants ...

  10. There’s no changing it and I will get one because there’s really no option. My concern is the haphazard use of SSN’s that were designed for one thing and one thing only. It has now become the de facto ID for everything, not only for getting a DL to opening a bank account , or getting a CC. In this age of piss-poor security and identify theft it’s just no longer acceptable. BTW, all that information is contained in the two bar codes on the back of your license. Be careful of who let scan it.

  11. Since the law holds people to a legal standard in both self-defense and negligence situations I think it should be up to the individual to decide what training they need.

  12. I only picked enough for 4 pints...but these are my first canned of this season! Spicy little devils... they're cooling off now. Gonna be good in about 4 weeks.

  13. I had to work this past weekend so just catching up. It looks like everyone is staying busy and doing quite well! Interesting concept Jon! Thank you for the vid. I might give this a shot. Much obliged my friend. Those are beautiful flower @Ronald_55! Healthy looking plants! Welcome @I40Bandit! Awesome blueberries and peppers! We're going pepper heavy this year as well and actually plan to cut and pickle some peppers this afternoon. We planted El Jefe and Jalafuego peppers (seeds from Johnny's) this year. They are supposed to be pretty hot...not Ghost pepper hot, but spicy Jalapeno type hot....we're hoping. I "re-purposed" an old picnic table we got for free about a dozen years ago into a deep "Herb bed" type raised bed per the boss'lady's instruction. It's about 6 foot long and deep enough it took 12 bags of garden soil and 2 bags of Moo-Nure to fill it. I transplanted the rosemary (that just won't die...) from last year into it and of course added another tomato plant just 'cause. But what I'm really interested in is planting some Harlequin mix carrots this fall. We've grown them before and they are Tasty and produced well. Pretty cool having blue, purple, and yellow carrots too! Our cukes are growing like mad and competing for space. That's always an issue with raised beds I reckon LOL. But they are loaded with blooms and setting cukes like crazy. Guess we'll be making some Kosher dills as well. I definitely need to put in another 8 foot bed... Our 2 little fig trees are loaded with fruit. I'll probably need to toss a net over them (again) if I plan to eat any of 'em...the birds love them! Unfortunately...

  14. Well some of my potatoes are blooming. A little crowded, but hopefully will produce a good bit. I forgot how pretty the blooms are.

  15. Thanks guys. I added 8 people that he knows to the hog exemption, so I am assuming he's got at least a few of them splitting the cost. Again, I'm not doing this for revenue, but this does have value. Maybe the easiest way to go about it is to tell him to pay me whatever he was paying the previous owner. If he short changes me, he can worry about if his conscience gives him peace. I won't loose any sleep over it.

  16. OH! OH! OH!!! And as The Wife just pointed ought, that's assuming that eagles don't actually poop!! Bear in mind that actual lead solid are non digestible, I'm going to go ahead & make the assumption that the stupid eagle actually shat out a good 90% of the lead it ingested!! I would alter my guess to state that I'd bet it consumed less lead in it's life that is contained in 10 gallons of tap water.

  17. I haven’t shared anything in a while and I figure some of you might enjoy these photos of a couple somewhat recent additions, a pair of Swedish M38s. Both are all matching and function extremely well, which I suppose fits with their reputation. I recommend a Swedish Mauser to any surplus shooter/collector. First the older...

  19. I went out to Burger Republic with an older friend recently. I watched him as he read the beer menu with a sort of puzzled look on his face for two or three minutes. Finally, he put it down - utterly confused - and offered, “they’ve got 75 beers on this damn menu, but no bud light, coors lite, or anything I’ve ever heard of. But, they’ve got PBR in a can? I just don’t get it.”

  20. Welp, I’ve had several beers now and this idea of combining my beers and coffee is sounding better all the time. I think it could possibly make for a more enjoyable day. I did do a search for this product on their web site. There are no purchase options for this product within 100 miles. So ….. making this change tomorrow probably is not going to happen. Time to go watch the Fireworks and see if the Donald has those tanks rolling through DC yet.
