We are fortunate to have him here. I believe he substantially prices his work too low.2 points

I finally got the Sig p250 to 100%. It honestly took more time and effort than it was worth. I polished the feedramp and replaced just about every spring without it performing any better. A couple of new mags didn’t matter either. An experienced gunsmith looked at it and determined that the chamber was too tight. Seriously, he took a dremel, and a reamer, and opened the chamber up a hundredths of an inch or two. So far it has been flawless for the last 250 rounds.2 points

Still doing well, and I really need to add another 16 foot bed! The 2 friggin' cuke plants are taking over! I cut another batch of peppers for canning later today. Gonna slice a few 1/2 pints and pints. Picked a few cukes and cherry tomatoes for a salad later today as well. The tomatoes look like they should be ripening within the next couple of weeks. And the fig trees are loaded! Gotta find where I put that darned netting to if I plan to eat any of them LOL I cut the Swiss Chard for the last time and gave the "mess" to a friend. I think I'll plant some red kidney beans in their spot to add some nitrogen pods to the soil. And nothing tastes better than fresh red kidney beans. They are delicious!!!2 points

Hi all, I am 80 years old and have owned a Sheridan Blue Streak since I was approximately 16 years old. This gun was manufactured some where's in the 1950's. After it set now used for many years I started to play with it about 5 years ago. Last year I installed a Pyramid Air kit, as it was not longer able to pump any pressure. Now it is as I remembered it for power. One thing I notice is that it shoots to the right. I have the rear site all the way to the left and it still shoots about 1/2 to 3/4 in to the right at about 20 feet. Either the barrel is bent or the front sight is bent. I will probable have to have a gun smith look at it. I do not have equipment accurate enough to sort it out. (Still trying different things) As I am getting older I am thinking about a PCP--except the pump and tank etc cost as much as a low price PCP rifle. I have considered trying to convert the Sheridan to a PCP. I have done some calculation from formula on the web and the Air reservoir will handle the pressure easily!!! If I calculated correctly. What I do not know if the Sheridan valve is sufficient to hold the pressure and not dump the whole reservoir on the first shot. Any advice /information in that area is more than welcome. Cheers .... Yeah, there are quite a few of us that have been fans of his work for a long while.1 point

If a gun needs a Dremel to make it work then it needs to go back to the factory.1 point

Remington target loads are shotgun shells. I’m surprised they cycled at all! JK… I use WWB for range ammo and Federal HST or Hydra Shok for carry. Those are proven performers. If my guns won’t work with that; they go back. (I’ve only had to do it once) I’d ask SIG for a shipping label and send it back. You paid a lot for that SIG name and SIG quality; you should get it. There are plenty of guns that cost far less that will fire "most" of the time.1 point

I will let ya'll read this as it is kind of long but very informative. https://gundigest.com/reviews/the-ar-16m16-the-rifle-that-was-never-supposed-to-be1 point

Gary consider yourself one of the fortunate ones. I grew up in a home where the only time we went into a church was when there was a funeral. Basically we were pagans. My parents were good providers and loved their kids, but church wasn't a part of it. I got saved as a Senior in high school, but really didn't do much in church for quite awhile other than keep the bench warm. At least I did get smarter in my adulthood, I did take my kids to church and them and all grandchildren will be joining us in Heaven some day. Yes I am thankful for my Church family that do all the VBS, plus many other ministries. Some children only hear about Jesus at a VBS somewhere.1 point

I've used a few naturals like trimmed small trees in making a TeePee setup for beans to climb, but haven't tried making beds from natural material. Good suggestion on the liner Bandit. I've probably mentioned it, but I've noted that even landscape timbers like I currently use have a "shelf life" of about 8 years. But I can't complain as they serve my needs well. I plan to borrow your trellis idea! My cukes are literally taking over. I wouldn't mind walking under the trellis to pick 'em. That'd certainly make life easier. Glad you like imgur my friend.1 point

I just made an acct and tested the first two pics. Thanks @Ronald_55 and @Jamie Jackson will use them instead. Thanks Jamie! The natural materials is cool until you have to rebuild it. I've been doing it a few years now and when you have a failure, you limp through the rest of the year then trench along the retaining wall in the winter to replace bed structure. I put heavy root barrier in as a liner so soil generally doesn't spill out too much if an end comes apart. The trellis stuff is year to year. I rotate crops so trellis gets thrown up accordingly. The 'mill ends' are cheap by the trailer load from a local mill. I just added the 'roof' for the cukes. They are no where near done so I had to come up with more room. Will be cool in a month or 2 when the fruits are hanging.1 point

Concur on imgur! @I40Bandit Great setup you have and excellent pics. The use of natural materials like you did makes it even more better!1 point

Oh yeah. Current pics. This is not even close to all of it. I had no idea Photbucket would put a friggin GIANT water mark in the middle of my pics. None too pleased. Harvested a bunch of turnip greens this morning....1 point

The gun business has dramatically changed since 2008. AR's are a dime a dozen now but will be the first to double when/if prog/soc/comm's (dems) take the presidency or get majorities in congress. Collectible guns have taken a hit due to price & the younger generation doesn't know what they are or have no interest.1 point

Sometimes it helps to polish the feed ramp some too. Also what the other guys said is good advice.1 point
