I don’t go to web sites run by Alex Jones. Not many people that have an IQ higher than their age do. But I certainly don’t see how someone can be sued for publicly stating their theories; no matter how stupid they are. If I’m mistaken and we can sue people for saying ignorant stuff that never would or never could happen; are there any lawyers on the forum that want to file a case against AOC?? Her non-sense is every bit as outlandish and ignorant as anything Jones has come up with.2 points

I'm a Realtor out of Cookeville but have sold and listed as far as Crawford, have a listing in Hilham to the north and shown as far down as Spencer, as far east as Fairfield Glade as far west as Carthage etc. etc... I burn alot of gas. Hard to be an expert on all of it but I'm willing to drive a bit for a client for sure! I'll admit I have no clue as to builders to advise you on that far out from me but as someone here alluded to, the housing boom is in full swing here. Lots of realtors have have favorites they work with but be weary as to motivation besides... We are warned not to recommend anyone unless it's more than a few anyway. Ethics laws frown on it. Not knowing the Realtor yourself trusting his advice would be a gamble anyway. Good luck and if you get stuck I can ask some of the agents that build Spec homes and try and come up with a few names you can check out. Sparta ain't too crazy far from us in Cookeville.2 points

I never win anything. I know everyone says that, but I don't. Maybe this breaks the run! Anyhow, I went for the Falco Falcon. I pimped the hell out of it. Expect a comprehensive review1 point

Last week I went to E. Tennessee and got to check-out Smokey Mountain Knife Works and Buds Guns. SMKW was much larger than I expected. There had to be over 100 people working there! It was huge. I had always wanted an Old School NAVY KA-BAR so I decided to pick one up while I was there. I also found that they have a “Big Brother” to the traditional KA-BAR; so I got it also.1 point

With a little practice you will be shooting 60lb in no time. Not to brag but I do shoot at 150lbs. (It is not relevant that it is a crossbow with a crank to pull the string back)1 point

If you want the best chance at deer, bow season is best. It’s my second favorite time. That’s only because I love my muzzleloader.1 point

Hi gang. Stumbled onto this forum while looking for Tenn gun resources.. Moved here from New Jersey last November. Been coming to Tenn to visit family for over 2 decades so familiar with good amount of the areas. Been a gun owner/shooter since the late 70's... Owned many different types. Been slowly thinning the herd to introduce new to the safe.... Always willing to help when I can. Own various handguns and long guns. Last year started to consolidate calibers to just 7.62, 5.56 and 6.5cm in rifle. (Oh and a 22 plinker)... and handgun to 45acp, 45LC and 9mm.... Do a lot of my own work where I can. I have no prob ripping a gun apart and making it my way. Although, getting harder because eyes are getting old. We are preparing for retirement. My wife has a few more years to go even though she says she will never retire.... lol. My various collections consist of Colt, HK, Kimber, Nighthawk, LWRC, Ruger, Uberti, IWI, Springfield, Benelli, CA, etc.... Have any questions, please feel free to ask.... Thanks for having me... Regards, John, aka BHunted1 point

I like tacticool pants and shorts. Not so much for the tacticalness but I loves me some big pockets and lots of them! Great for shooting for sure, and when I go to the range I also take a tactical conceal vest as well, not for the tacticoolness of it but for the pockets, man! If it didnt scream both GUN and mall ninja, I'd wear a vest all the time for the pockets, lol. I can squeeze a lot into a pair of jeans, and I aint just talking about my body, but with tactical pants I can carry what i like. Regular cargo ones mostly work almost just as well for me. Course, my FORO (fear of running out) phobias are what make me roll with a bag in my car with lots of 'extras' to see me thru the day, too.1 point

Sounds like he either misjudged his abilities or he wasn’t expecting the armed guards on the other side of the door he thought he was going to enter. The first good guys with guns didn’t have to get there; they were already there. Too bad more attacks don’t end like that.1 point

The truth is never what it seems in cases like this. We've seen this crap over and over. Never let a crisis go to waste...just sayin'.1 point

Obviously just a little bit heavier but very similar in feel in hand. Most of the time my 1911s are used more for just plinking as I carry either striker or DA/SA options most of the time. I do like the flat trigger on the ECP, I changed out the ECO trigger to a black one shortly after I got it just because I think it looked better than the silver one it came with. Can't go wrong with either IMO.1 point

I second the suggestion of using an outdoor antenna and connecting it using the existing coaxial in the house. I originally had an antenna in the attic, but I moved it outside (attached on the lowest part of the eave that I can reach with a ladder). The coaxial from the antenna goes through the soffit, into my attic, and then down the wall to the outdoor cable distribution box. I can get nearly the same reception in any room in the house (some degradation with the furthest runs of cable). I could have just ran the cable down the side of the house, but for a little more effort, I was able to mostly hide the cable. Fishing the cable with my wife tested our relationship though. I live south of Chattanooga, so most of the broadcast antennas are in the same general direction, but two stations have their antennas further away than the others. A difference of just 5 degrees affects the reception from these stations; so I used tvfool.com and a compass to aim precisely at these towers. The other stations are closer and come in clear just pointing in the general direction. When I tried to use individual indoor antennas, I would get some interference with the close stations, and sometimes no signal at all on the farther stations.1 point

Depending on how your home is wired for cable, it might not be that much of an effort. Look into where the cable jacks are currently running from the box outside. This is what I did... In my old place, there were four drops for the townhouse I was renting...one for each bedroom, one for the living room, and one inexplicably for the upstairs hallway. So I set up the outdoor antenna in my back porch area, then ran a heavy coax cable (about $15 bucks for a 50' good outdoor one) from the antenna to the drop for the living room. I moved my cable modem to the upstairs hallway, resulting in free over the air TV in my living room by using the cable wiring in the house, and Wifi broadcasting from upstairs to use Netflix, Hulu, HBOGo, and all the rest on Roku on the TV as well, taking advantage of the work that was already put into the house to rig it for cable in each room.1 point

I like Bud's; have bought firearms and accessories, shoot there regularly, and the staff is pretty good. Go here BEFORE you visit SMKW, otherwise you may be underwhelmed. Bud's is a large gun store with competitive, if not great prices. SMKW is a destination that happens to have a good selection of guns, ammo, and accessories. I've been in dozens of times over the years for ammo purchases only, I still enjoy looking around.1 point
