  1. By paying attention I just meant did the guy that created the thread decide what he thought to be the answer. To be honest the rush to be armed for me is that i have a street legal side x side (a rzr) which makes it a vehicle, and I go riding alone at windrock in the woods all the time where everybody else has guns. Just makes me feel better, especially when there's big groups of people and I'm just alone in the woods without any service

  2. This has been on the back burner since Christmas. Finally got a chance to work on it and get it finished, I think it turned out pretty good. The holster and belt are from the "Hand of God" Rig from 3:10 to Yuma except I didn't want the same tooling and it is lined, the belt is also lined but with the rough side out so it wont slip around. The bullet loops, Holster loop, Chape, and billet are dyes a deep brown and the rest is an oil finish I also added conchos. I really enjoyed making this rig and plan on doing a cross draw holster for when I get my other pistol. Thanks go to my wife and kids for getting me the pistol for Christmas and to GT for the knife.

  3. I call MAJOR Bull Sh!t on this whole ordeal and I'm patiently waiting until the book and or movie deal to be announced for the whole thing to unravel and "JUSSIE" right in her face and the smiley that found her.

  4. I know Dave, the guy that made the video you saw. I’m sure he wouldn’t care if I PM’d you his address and you sent him some money.

  5. Most on this site can certainly appreciate the importance of having a means of self-defense readily available while traveling. TN Castle Law includes automobiles. In fact the HCP power point was changed as it specifically referenced 21yo and handguns. Later was changed to reflect the purchase by 21yo and above. Some LEO will not know the law and there may indeed be some question and possibly an arrest. Anyone under 21 and having a handgun in their car must certainly be aware of the law and maintain a polite demeanor while any problem is worked out. But the bottom line is it is legal and especially important especially for traveling females, ie to and from college, work, etc.

  6. I ended up getting two factory Marlin magazines for $14.55/shipped each off EBay in factory packaging. after looking, it does have the factory slide style, so I guess I will dig through the ammo cans and see if I have some of those mounts. Guess having $59 in a scoped 22 Jm stamped bolt action can’t be too bad, eh?

  7. The one I think is top notch and shoots regularly is Strategic Edge in Chapel Hill. I know it's a bit of a drive but I really liked the range and the professional manner with which matches were run. Most matches would have 30 - 50 shooters of all ages (12-80) and experience. Typically, the large group was split up into 3 groups trying to pair experience. From the first time novice to Masters, shooting was a lot of fun. Everyone was willing to share tips and information. Matches usually ran from 8:30 AM til about noon.

  8. I look at it differently; most laws tell you what you can't do, so we get the bit about over 21 to buy from FFL. But, an 18 yo is not prohibited from owning a gun by 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) or by § 39-17-1316. So, an 18 yo may purchase a gun privately and have/carry such gun in a home or vehicle, just not off his premises or on his person in public.

  9. What’s to pay attention to? If you are between 18 and 21 you’re living in that gray that you mentioned as far as carrying a gun in your car. Phone calls to the Sheriff don’t mean jack. Carrying around a bunch of papers and playing roadside lawyer will get you jack as well. Cops do not know the fine nuances of the law. They are not lawyers, prosecutors, or judges, just underpaid folks doing what they’re told to do. Point being...what’s the rush to be armed?

  12. It's a great show - especially if you're interested in meeting and getting to know some of your favorite makers. One of the things that has impressed me about the knife community at large is how genuinely friendly and willing to share knowledge the community remains. It's a great place to go and see some true art - it's also a great place to go and just spend a fun afternoon and maybe come away with a couple of cool blades.

  15. The most plausible explanation I've ever heard goes like this: Aliens consider Earth to be like the Detroit of the galaxy. They all know where we are, its just that nobody wants to come here.
