Man. A whole lot of lives changed in one stupid, avoidable incident. You owe it to society at large to keep your weapon secure.3 points

I appreciate the kind words and patronage men. One a different note I just acquired a 36" diameter saw mill blade today. Do you have any idea how many of these knives I can make and tempt you with out of that blade?2 points

It definitely looks cool and I bet it handles very well, however, I have no interest at all in loading those magazines. That would get old mighty quick.2 points

Not surprising. More victim blaming from the cops. The gun owner bears zero responsibility for this. He is not responsible for what other people do with his property after they steal it from him. Poor guy.2 points

I'm happy this topic came back up. Last year if I walked passed the woods I'd have chiggers and a tick or two on me. This year all is well, even though we have spent the last three days down IN the woods. We've been clearing underbrush and cutting some paths. The difference, I hope, is she made a mixture of lemongrass oil, eucalyptus oil and apple cider vinegar and sprays me from head to foot. No chemicals and no ticks or chiggers. Although I smell like salad.2 points

Link? I've never seen a CP33 review by Hickok45 and haven't been able to find it via search.2 points

And this is the argument used to enforce secure storage in the home. Education of youngsters and application of common sense by grown ups would go a long way2 points

And if the guy had been able to LEGALLY carry the gun ON HIS PERSON and not be FORCED to leave it behind then this would not have happened either. I'm not saying he bears no responsibility. I'm saying if it had stayed secured ON HIS PERSON then this could not have happened. But because people (legislature) thinks that an otherwise law abiding person suddenly becomes a craven killer if he carries his gun anywhere near a school event he is forced to leave it unattended. Now should it have been better secured? Of course. But it does not get any more secured than when it is secured on your person. This is a good argument for an "enhanced permit" that would allow those so permitted to carry ANYWHERE so that they are not being forced to leave guns unattended in public when they enter areas that otherwise do not allow guns.2 points

Hell, I’ve bought several, and the last thing I need is another knife.1 point

I had hoped to not have to buy any guns for a while, but this CP33 and that dang shorty 20 gauge have both caught my eye...1 point

I was going to try some of the Whitetail Institute clover on a different plot. Thought about some of the Power Plant too to compare to the mix I'm putting together.1 point

lol. My sarcasm didnt show in my post! They DONT look at all alike, which only serves to make me not understand how I did it. I think 22plinksters range reminded me of Hickok45s and I had just been watching hickok45. Thats my story and Im sticking to it, lol. But, it was a pretty good review anyway.1 point

Sometimes you just can't fix stupid and leaving a gun in an unsecured vehicle in open sight is about as stupid as it gets. I have a policy of when I get in my vehicle my gun gets in and when I get out my gun gets out bar none. I have pretty much figured out where I can go and do or go and get everything in life I want to do without having to remove my gun concealed on my hip. In the event I was forced to go somewhere I had to leave my gun it would be locked in my glove box in a locked vehicle with the car alarm set. It is much better to take an extra 5 minutes securing your gun than to have an incident like the boy shooting his mother or someone else.........JMHO1 point

The Wife wanted an Amazon Prime account for our online shopping. (Which means we have it) It comes with Prime Video; lots of good stuff there. Your wife can watch her NBC shows (the voice or world of dance) the day after they air. I think CBS is also available.1 point

Whoa now fella! Them's fightin' words! They all look and act the same? NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. Hickock45 is the KING of utube! No one is in his league. A few just might aspire to reach his lofty heights...but they will never climb that mountain. Ok...you are forgiven. Just don't let rash comments like that escape again. Yes...I'm feeling a bit wacky this morning. lol1 point

Reckless Endangerment is also a crime, and with a deadly weapon it is a felony. So now, unless a plea bargain is made, a Judge or Jury will decide if what he did was reckless. However, they will know exactly what happened. We do not know exactly what happened, so we have no idea if it was reckless or not. We will probably find out. When we had the discussion about the proposed legislation for the requirement of securing guns in cars, I didn’t think we needed a law to tell us that it is reckless to leave a gun in an unlocked vehicle; but maybe we do.1 point

We finally got fed up with Comcast and cut the TV subscription and just kept the internet. I don’t know How far you are from the broadcast stations, but I put an antenna in the attic and hooked it into my cable for the whole house. We can bring in about 30 decent stations including NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, ME, PBS and some I’ve never heard of, we really don’t miss having 220 channels.1 point

If you don't need sports, Philo is something to take a look at. I use News On to watch local news for free.1 point

I have built a lot of these things. First headspace problem I have seen. I have a set of Forster gages now. I'll check every one going forward.1 point

Sling is like a basic cable/dish service, depending on the package you get several channels on the basic plans ("colors"), plus whatever add-ons you choose . One great thing about streaming TV, if you don't like your package, you can cancel or change it pretty much at will. For example, I subscribe to HBONow for as long as GOT is showing, then cancel immediately after. Same for several other services I have used throughout the years. Roku also allows you to have a single interface for all your different services, both my Netflix and Amazon video have "tabs" on the Roku page, or I can access them using the smart TV or computer interfaces as well.1 point

I subscribe to the Sling Blue package during the NBA season to watch Grizzlies games. The bill was $27.36 per month with taxes/fees, and you can cancel any time; your service will continue until the period for which you already paid ends. I am not crazy about their user interface, but their service has been solid. I tried their cloud DVR, but canceled it after the first month. It was not available on certain channels. In particular it was not available on Fox Sports SE alt 1, and that's the channel that covered most of the Griz games. I could "record' the games that came on FSSE alt 2. I anticipate I'll sign up again in the fall. They will also run specials where you get some sort of hardware (like a Roku or HD antenna) if you prepay for two (2) or three (3) months when you start new service. One nice thing is that a lot of the programming is available "on demand", so even if you don't have Cloud DVR you can likely watch the regular shows whenever you want. Live PD was an example of a show that was available "on demand". Let me know if you have any questions.1 point

See what you started Robtattoo? This 1000 rounds went pretty quick with the Jig you recommended. These are ready for powder and bullets...1 point

We had one. They are allocated, and impossible to get. It balanced really well, and the guy that bought it absolutely loves it. Wholesale cost is north of $350. Our price was $459, and that wasn't much markup.1 point

Yeah concealed carry...implies you are carrying it. Not leaving it lying around in a crowded place. First rule parents should teach kids: "Kids if you see a gun don't touch it and get an adult" Failure all around. That kid will rightfully need therapy no matter how mom's conditions ends up.1 point

The “antique car” was a WW II Jeep on display, something he article conveniently leaves out. Regardless, plenty of stupid to go around here.1 point

Its a shame that something like this happens. My question is why was the kid rooting around in somebody else's car? Plenty of blame to go around here.1 point

I think we need to place a ban on "importing" idiots to DC.1 point

Me too. Each one is just a little different and I learn something every time. Best lesson I’ve learned is that cheap sometimes cost more in the long run lol. That being said, I’ve had some good budget items that surprised me. Also learned that I have Lamborghini tastes with Mustang income and sometimes I have to save a long time to get what I want1 point

Four additional rounds in a 43 makes a lot more sense to me than five less in a 19. Especially at only 1/16" thinner.1 point

I agree with David on the 43, it seems to be successful to me. I love mine and I could carry generally anything I want. Off-duty it is my go to weapon for EDC. I shoot it extremely well compared to others in the field. Capacity is adequate with the TT +2 or +3 basepads. I've tried the Shield, XD-S, and numerous others that I dont quite consider competitors as they are more pocket guns and haven't found one I like better. I am not one of the legit high speed dudes David mentioned but I have done a little bit that I feel I have an ok grasp of weapons and can generate a decent opinion of a firearm. I think the big 3 all put out solid handguns (M&P, XD-S, 43) that just come down to user preference. I have never told someone that bought one of these that they should have bought a 43 because realistically if they carry it, it shoots reliability, and they like it then that is what matters. I am sure the 48 will sell for numerous reasons. Fanboys will buy them because they are Glocks, some legit dudes will buy them for the incremental benefits over another gun they have, noobs will buy them because they will fill several roles with one gun. Like I said in an earlier post I could probably find a day or two that this size would be convenient. Currently funds go to optics and other builds but who knows I may pick one up and it just speaks to me to buy it.1 point

What need does this address, that Glock is trying to fill? Not sure I get it's purpose, unless its a pistol for the more limited ammunition capacity states?1 point

Good to hear! Glad it’s been helpful. I did get bit 2 summers back, but it was in my backyard. I’m still bite free when wearing treated clothes too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro1 point
