You can download your forms, get your pictures, and then go to a facility to submit it. Or some facilities can do the photo there. Here is a link with all the info. It has a search function that shows you all the facilities in your area and their abilities. Just got a colt Mark 4 gov. Model series 80 45, made 1988. A few scratches on bright finish. Cleaned up real good, very smooth. Haven't fired yet. I haven't Owen a 1911 be for. Any info on it would be good. Thanks Cuz

You can do a form fill questionaire online then just print it. You need cash for the local clerk ($35) and a Mo or check for the state department ($110). There are more charges to expedite,.$60 for expedited and $16.48 for express shipping. Depending on the type of handgun I might have had to reallocate it to my collection, as the current owner certainly can't handle it. That being said, you cant just pick any gun up at a bar nowadays and put it in the safe without worry where its been, who its been with, and what it might pass on to your other guns.

Don't think you're gonna see a gen 5 Glock in .40, either. Haven't yet, anyway. We have .40 ammo sitting that we bought last year in August for Black Friday. It's pretty much dead. We've sold cases of 9mm.

It may just be me but it seems all of Ruger's pistols over the last couple of years are a tad on the homely side. Not Hi Point ugly by any means, just not appealing to me. Yes, I know that looks shouldn't be a real factor in choosing a quality pistol, but most people do allow looks to play a bigger factor than we probably should.

Have you shot it yet? Is there something you don’t like about it? Rather than mods, I’m the type of guy to recommend ammo and practice.

<grumble, grumble> I just ordered a Ruger PC Carbine last week from Palmetto State Armory since they had it for $399 shipped. It arrived at my FFL today, but I didn't have time to go pick it up yet. In the meantime I ordered one of the MCKs from Guns Midwest for $178.79 (including shipping and 2.5% credit card fee). Thanks for helping my bank account whimper (even more) by pointing out the MCK. <grin>
