Anyone planning on going to it? My wife has to give tours of the Lodge foundry on Saturday so I guess I'll take the kids and eat some carny food. It's on the 27th and 28th of this month.1 point

Back in the early summer of 2018, I purchased a No4 Mk1 T off gunbroker that had no scope or mount, only had the mounting pads screwed into the receiver. I got a repro No32 scope and mount and still have yet to sight this thing in, but thought I would share. Rifle has the Holland and Holland stamps on the stock as it should, but neither the receiver nor the stock just behind the safety contain a serial number for a scope. Perhaps it just never had one issued?1 point

Your receipt from the DMV does not indicate that you have been approved (i.e. passed the background check) for a new concealed carry permit.1 point

Ammunitiontogo.com is always my go to. Not sure if they're the cheapest around, but I remember not being pissed at their shipping cost for my first order! They're usually really quick too.1 point

No choppers required. It'll last until some moron uses one in a mass shooting, even tho' it has zero impact on capacity or rate-of-fire. Took about 4wks to get mine....delivered to my door, and I do like it...a lot. Makes a big diff in my target groupings at 25yds; I haven't been to the outdoor range to try it past that distance, but 9mm ballistics-wise, 50yds is about max anyway. I skipped their custom package, as I already had some of those items (QD sling, flashlight). Bought my own flip-up backup sights and had a spare red/green-dot reflex on-hand. Makes a great little HD package, or folds to fit in a truck console if desired....depending on yer truck.1 point

I met Blackburn way back when she was in the State Legislature. She is a really nice lady to talk to, but at the end of the day, she's a politician through and through. About all I can say about her is she's better than the one she replaced. Might want to give her a little time though, the US Senate has a way of turning otherwise decent people into the scum of the earth. I mean, I can pretty much name on one hand who I'd consider decent senators, I wouldn't classify hardly any of them good or great.1 point

Call an independent agent to shop some rates for you. You don't have to go to their office. They can do it over the phone and email you quotes. Then you'll know if AllState is anywhere close to the others and then you can make an informed decision.1 point

I haven’t shared anything in a while and I figure some of you might enjoy these photos of a couple somewhat recent additions, a pair of Swedish M38s. Both are all matching and function extremely well, which I suppose fits with their reputation. I recommend a Swedish Mauser to any surplus shooter/collector. First the older...1 point

I’ve got some very good news for you. As long as you’re buying outside of the city limits and you can set up a safe direction for a range, you’re pretty much golden. Lucky for us, and you, this state isn’t run by massholes who like to overregulate everything and everybody. Set up your home range in a safe and reasonable manner, like not having your neighbor’s house being your backstop’s backstop, and as long as you’re respectful of your neighbors, you shouldn’t have any trouble whatsoever. Oldnewbie and alleycat are spot on with their advice as well.1 point

Finally found a Python in what I consider good shape and I could afford. I've been on the Python search for quite some time now. Most of them I'd want to take home must have gold screws! Sorry for the lousy pics.1 point

For anyone on here that either owns or is even remotely interested in the development, use and improvements of the No 4 Mk1 T rifles, check out this book by Steve Houghton. There is a limited number of these being printed and I have found it to be a very useful wealth of information on my rifle. It includes rifles from WW1 all the way through to the most modern in British service. Here is Ian McCollum’s book review and a link to purchase the book can be found in the description text.1 point

A few new bottles I picked up. I am not a big fan Belle Meade bourbon but this cask strength Reserve is quite tasty. It has a really nice burn at 114 proof.1 point
