  2. yeah you really shouldn't...they aren't the cheap dime a dozen revolvers they used to be....I have a beautiful 1935 and can't find another anywhere to get threaded for my suppressor....find a different gun to experiment with...or better yet...buy a blackpowder gun lol.

  3. I am liking the looks and the review in American Rifleman on the Mossberg MC1SC. Has anyone handled one or shot one yet?

  4. If you have Netflix, this is worth watching. Not a shootemup action movie, but a story of two ageing heroes amid the great depression.

  5. Many thanks to @alleycat72 for the lower! All told, I have receipts totaling $376 including the 2 mags, scope, mount & foregrip Lots of judicious shopping around, waiting for deals & eBay netted me this & I'm tickled pink!

  6. Freaking rabbit hole got me...... I free floated the 223 upper with a $12 eBay M-lok fore end, switched out the scope for a slightly more versatile Barska Euro 30 3-9. Added a cheap drop in trigger which I stripped apart & did a little stone & polish work. Those 2 things alone shrank my group sizes from 4" average to sub 1" I also picked up a real deal on a 300blk upper (sub $200, no bolt or carrier) & installed a Leopold Mk Freedom 1.5-4 (thanks @Wade195) Still working up supersonic loads for that, but it's showing a ton of promise. I'm now running right at $700, for everything! I still consider this to be one of my better bargain buys!

  7. This was a good movie Just watched it. It was the first time that they weren't glamorized in a movie. My dad took me to see their car when I was really small I still remember it.

  8. Here's a layout for ya : First the Gen 2 Tenifer , then the Tenifer with "frying pan" Gen 3 , and then my duty gun the Gen 5 . So far it's seems that it's hard to beat the Gen 3 "frying pan" .

  9. My newest acquisition. It’s a Bergara B-14 HMR in 6.5 Creedmoor with a Timney Calvin Elite trigger, an EGW 20moa base, Vortex (Seekins) precision rings, and a Nightforce SHV 3-10x42 (that’s probably going to get swapped with the NF 3.5-15x50 that’s currently on my Montana .308 as I think they’re a better gun/glass match both ways). https://imgur.com/a/1pvNBBQ

  10. You know I might take you up on that.

  11. Drop them both off. We can upgrade rings on the Montana and I'll swap the scopes and get them sighted in for you.

  12. i'd go with the Mossberg if I were you...my experience with Stoeger is they are good guns but they are impossible to get rid of later if you find you want to sell them and they have a bad habit of constantly discontinuing models so parts support later sucks.

  13. It was really good and it was nice to finally see a movie that didn't glamorize those two murderers.

  14. I'm well aware that my fear isn't rational. I'm okay with that. I just don't trust things that weigh multiple tons built by the lowest bidder.

  15. Well damn. I already bought a motor.

  16. You might. I do not. Ever. I will speed up when going under an overpass and almost nothing gives me anxiety like waiting on a light to change sitting under an overpass. Its crazy to trust those things. And the ones with trains,

  18. I had heard some negative things about them, but it was a $1200 gun I scored for $600. The guy didn't tell me about the fte issues, but he didn't know Kimber would fix it, so it worked out I hope. lol

  20. I didn't see your letter, but from your description, it was probably specific enough. Blackburn just chose to respond with a generic "I support RKBA" letter instead of saying anything about red flag laws. To me, that suggests she hasn't decided whether she will vote for or against the red flag bill, and she wants to preserve her options, but she also wants to mollify you with a vague statement that isn't really a commitment, but might be interpreted as one. But perhaps I'm too skeptical about politicians and their motives....

  22. nice way for them to take care of their customers without opening themselves up to admitting faulty slides...I don't blame them and $170 is a very fair deal for a gun that old.

  23. Why would you want to shoot black powder in a Nagant?

  24. Yeah, nope. I’ve not had Carolina BBQ yet that wasn’t a crime against the poor pig that died to make it.

  27. Are you looking for full, commander, or compact (Officer) sized 1911’s? 9mm or .45? Rock Island Armory offers all three sizes in both calibers for under $500. They are generally excellent pistols and a great value.

  28. The 2.0 trigger is an improvement over the 1.0 without doubt. I promised I would shoot my 2.0 for a good while before monkeying with parts.......promise broken. I put in the flat-faced, forward set trigger kit in this past week-end. Just wow! I have had at least a half dozen 'gun guys' try this trigger out, all with the same impression. What an improvement. Pull wt can be changed by reference to the Apex flow chart that accompanies the kit. Mine by trigger gauge runs 3.3#. One can bump it up to over 6. Very sharp trigger break, no creep, no stack. Great reset. Can highly recommend it, and yes there is a difference that is worth the money.

  29. I dealt with them only once online. My main concern about buying anything is customer service. I'd rather support a local store and pay more in most cases. This is certainly the case with Buds. Terrible buying experience and awfull customer service in my opinion. Would never use them again.

  32. As far as I know, yep he's in prison.[ What happened to his "friend"? Well...he's dead. Actually, he was the FFL behind the channel...and how he (FPSRussia) was able to use such awesome firearms in his videos. They never really figured anything out regarding his murder.
