  1. Mayhaps it's time for the Nashville area TGO'ers to do a meet-up at one of the BBQ or Hot Chicken places.

  2. Oh, I know and completely disagree with it. The last time the NRA called and asked me a question regarding where they should "focus on" in the next year, I lost it. It was multiple choice,, and I forget the possible answers. I told them to actually do something pro-gun for once and pointed out that in two years Trump has already done more anti-gun stuff than the entire eight years of Obama. She basically said she couldn't really make a comment on any of that and thanked me for my time.

  3. I fervently hope that no jurisdictions attempt any door-knocks based on sales records. While I’m not in any way suggesting that bump stocks will lead to some mass insurerction, I guarantee that door-knocks over them will absolutely lead to dead cops and civilians. Nobody wants that.

  4. My vote: Send it in. Don't trust a local gunsmith to fix a problem with an extraction system that even the manufacturer couldn't get to work properly. Cheers, Whisper

  5. Peg Leg Porker's is some good BBQ in downtown Nashville: https://www.peglegporker.com/ I particularly like their smoked green beans.

  6. This guy lost it when it fell from his waist band while intoxicated. Good job on whoever found it and safely gave it to staff as it was loaded. No ND here just NC. Negligent Carry!

  7. That’s the rub. The letter of the law does not match up to this decision. That’s why they were approved in the first place. But this is America where nothing makes sense and words don’t mean anything.

  8. I'm still curious about one thing. The law clearly defines a machine gun as more than one round fired per function of the trigger, correct? Lets say someone got arrested for possession of a machine gun (but is really a bump stock). It seems that the law itself could/would be in the defendants favor. IANAL I also know that in all likelihood, that person would go to prison.

  9. Sorry but I disagree. Don't do Nashville without doing LoBro. Nashville wouldn't be Nashville without it.

  10. While it's a shame that the consumers have lost the cost of the stock, that's a drop in the bucket to what the owner(s) of the company have lost. All that time, effort, and money now down the toilet for a law change that won't make a real difference in solving the problem. I'm guessing the gov will take the stance of using this as an "add on charge" if it's discovered, rather than the door knock method based on sales records, if they're smart...

  11. BBQ: Edley's, Martin's Pizza: Pastaria, Mafiaoza's Hot Chicken: Hattie B's is damn good, and their pimento Mac n' Cheese is the tits. Recommend ordering online if you want to skip the wait line with all the tourists.

  12. It has been a while since I lived in Nashville but, unless it has changed your best bet is from downtown and south. Nashville caters to tourists and Vanderbilt Campus is down there so if you stay in the touristy areas you'll be OK. Avoid any hotel that has a razor wire fence around it. I have found that whenever I get lost in a big city I always wind up in the bad part of town. Nashville is a fun town. https://www.aol.com/2010/10/05/safe-and-dangerous-places-in-nashville/ My great grandfather went to Nashville in 1864. He stayed less than a mile away from where I lived. In Rebout #4 with Lumsden's battery. He wasn't there for very long, but he gave'm plenty of ball and shot. His name was Pvt Isaac Mason and he lived to prosper after the war. He built a house made by putting two slave cabins together. The house still stands in Stockton Alabama. (Sorry to get off topic)

  13. I wear this one at Three O'clock so I can grab the spare magazine with my left hand. I have started carrying OWB with a canted holster that sets up high. Harold at Red Cent will ask you how you are going to wear it and make it to fit you. He made me these holsters and a beefy leather belt that is 1/4" thick, for a great price. This is the fifth holster he has made for me so far. You can check out his work on his web site. He is well known in North Carolina. https://www.redcentcustomleather.com/

  14. Aqui at 400 Degrees makes great hot chicken and an awesome hot pork chop. There is a place on Nolensville Road called Subculture that makes incredible hot chicken tacos and a hot chicken sandwich. Pablo is the chef and he really knows what he is doing. He also makes a hot chicken ramen that is fantastic. There are two relatively new places that are becoming my favorite: T-N-T bbq off Brick Church Pike and Grandaddys in Joelton.

  16. OUTSTANDING! I'm a huge fan of the S&W Model 25s in .45 Colt and have several. The .45 Colt is good for much more than just Cowboy shooting in Single Actions. Its a great hunting cartridge as well as a formidable self defense round. The S&W revolver brings out its best. Even more so if you reload for it.

  17. Hattie B's is good and a great entry point into Nashville Hot Chicken, but most enthusiasts around here will tell you to make haste to 400 Degrees for the best NHC available. Aqui knows how to make some damn good chicken! http://400degreeshotchicken.com/ 3704 Clarksville Pike Nashville Tennessee, 37218

  18. I use a secure holster with a thumb break so I can do back flips on the dance floor when I'm out clubbing.

  19. Not sure which is worse, loosing it all together or having a negligent discharge while picking it up off the dance floor.

  20. Have you shot it yet? Is there something you don’t like about it? Rather than mods, I’m the type of guy to recommend ammo and practice.

  27. And here it is, in all it's glory! Will shoot it the afternoon, first impressions? The slider is like silk and the grip just feels awesome. They did a good job with this firearm and I am totally a SIG fan boy now. So much so that I want to swap my PPQ (which is outstanding) for a 9mm or .45 Sig. Amazing how the right customer experiencing can change your outlook!
