5 years back I ran into a good deal on 12ga shells. I probably have 10 years worth at the mancave. Obama taught me a valuable lesson.3 points

Abomination? I strap on my brace of SP101s and ready to party like it's 1899.2 points

I think KY was easier, since they have had permitless open carry for as long as I can remember. I have family members with KY permits (Conncealed Deadly Weapons License). I don't see them giving them up because of reciprocity. Always glad to see it. But, I'll always try to keep the license.1 point

My father made drawers and cabinets underneath his workbench like you'd have in your kitchen. That would be nice, but being retired, he has more spare time on his hands than I do.1 point

I’m actually carrying mine right now too as my P238 is back with Sig for repairs.1 point

Agree, I have the PPQ M1 in 40 S&W. Trigger pull & reset is great. I'm carrying it right now, because the holster broke on my PPS M2 9mm. Ordered a new one from PJ holsters, should be here today. May end up selling the PPQ, don't really need two pistols.1 point

Lol, What I meant to say was I'm trying to standardize on 158 gr. stuff.1 point

You have good taste in handguns. Really fond of my PPQ. The trigger and reset on them is just amazing. I liked the 9mm so much that I bought a 45 PPQ. It wasn't a mistake, but I've found that I do prefer the 9 version. Should offer it for sale of trade, but just haven't gotten around to it. As for me, the personal favorite "plastic" guns just have to be the PPQ, Canik TP9SFx, and the HKVP9. Of course the uber dependable Glocks are in the mix as well, but the others are just more fun at the range.1 point

We destroyed a bunch that were in caches, but that was to keep them out of the hands of the enemy. Here, there are only a couple of reasons where it would be justified, illegal ones, and possibly ones with bodies on them.1 point

They've spent decades inoculating up and coming generations to the point where we now label a pissed off navy guy with a sh!t list of hated politicians and 15 guns as a domestic terrorist and someone we should hang. I assure you the same snowflake hipster titsuckers would load their pink panties with past tense avocado toast and la croix if they actually encountered a real terrorist. These are the same people that call 911 for other parents being "too strict" with their children at the playground. I am thankful everyday I don't have children to raise in this.1 point

Funny you should mention Yugoslavia. That’s what I do see happening here. I’ve become convinced that the Balkanization of the US is the inevitable outcome and it will be centered around economic factors. Nobody has the will or desire to upset the apple cart until they pick up their phone and the internet doesn’t work, the light switch doesn’t do anything, or the grocery store shelves are empty. Until that happens, we’re all just along for the ride.1 point

Ammo is not going to be an issue in a criminal case if it is a justified self-defense shooting. It could be in a civil case. Everything could be a factor in a civil case. Why are you in civil court is more of an issue. There is no shortage of off the shelf brands in proven self-defense calibers.1 point

A basic workbench made of 2x4's and 3/4" plywood is incredibly easy to build and just about indestructible. There are tons of plans on the interwebz from simple to fancy.1 point

For some of the reasons mentioned above, and some others, the situation in south Asia scares me more than Russia or China: https://www-m.cnn.com/2019/02/27/india/india-pakistan-strikes-escalation-intl/index.html?r=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnn.com%2F1 point

I'm not at all worried about a nuclear war with Russia, nor China. I worry about Iran because their theocracy believes Allah will preserve them. Those are the kind of people that you should be worried about.1 point

For anyone on here that either owns or is even remotely interested in the development, use and improvements of the No 4 Mk1 T rifles, check out this book by Steve Houghton. There is a limited number of these being printed and I have found it to be a very useful wealth of information on my rifle. It includes rifles from WW1 all the way through to the most modern in British service. Here is Ian McCollum’s book review and a link to purchase the book can be found in the description text.1 point

Don’t own one, always thought they were overpriced. Have no intention of purchasing one at all.1 point

+1 for Jeff Walle. If you want to talk directly with him call and confirm the days he's at the shop. It's the separate building to the right of the store. Either way you'll have to check the work in through the store counter. I've used him and was very pleased with his work.1 point

The funny thing about this latest outrage (to me at least) is that I picked up in a trade the one & only Benchmade knife I've ever owned before this fiasco happened. Call me Lucky...LOL0 points
