  2. If you wear one out, they aren't very expensive to replace. I find it to be a non issue.

  3. +1 for Jeff Walle. If you want to talk directly with him call and confirm the days he's at the shop. It's the separate building to the right of the store. Either way you'll have to check the work in through the store counter. I've used him and was very pleased with his work.

  4. CZ series, in order of acquisition 75B variant P01 variant RAMI 2075 P - soon to be sent to CGW. Mag compatibility is a plus, though the RAMI struggles with 16 / 18 round mags.

  5. I think it's time to recognize that actual Republicans are "government knows best" types, and those opposed to that view are on the outside of the party structure.

  6. This was a black on white crime, nothing to see here. It has been covered here in TN, but the MSM has not picked it up because it does not support their agenda, otherwise they would sensationalize it like they did Treyvon Martin and Michael Brown.

  7. As far as I know, TISAS is the only current manufacturer. So if you want something new, its TISAS or hope for some NOS.

  8. That’s like saying one should buy a Colt if they want a 1911. The HiPower is still a useful and viable gun. While I understand the economics behind Browning ceasing production, I’m happy somebody is still keeping the design in production.

  9. So it appears what Dickerson has introduced is a bit different from what is currently being discussed. Rep. Johnson (D-Knoxville) and Sen. Kyle (D-Memphis are behind HB1049/SB0943) http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/BillInfo/Default.aspx?BillNumber=HB1049&ga=111 Here is what Dickerson's behind. It basically covers an extreme risk protection order in which bars firearms ownership for a year. It does not address disposition of the arms during that year (at least I didn't see anything during a quick read) : http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/BillInfo/Default.aspx?BillNumber=SB1178&ga=111 The Democrat bill is far more involved. 19 pages vs. four.

  10. I only have an original LCP. I have no idea how many rounds have been through it, but I shoot it more than any other firearm I own. I've carried and shot it for years, and it has been 100% reliable. I suppose it will probably need new springs at some point, but I haven't detected any undue wear so far. I paid $300 for it, and if it became inoperable today, I can replace it for $200. I feel it has already provided more than $300 worth of service.

  11. Just turned 3 years with the FNS9 being my only carry. I'm in the boat of no. You lose 1.8oz, 0.4" in the barrel and 0.3" in height. It's not ground breaking enough for me. If you have the means ($) go for it. In terms of gaining anything carry wise, I don't see it. My next move will be a single stack M&P Shield, Springfield XD-S, etc type direction.

  12. My goal in life is to wear out as many guns as possible. I have literally worn out 3 shotguns. Trying the same with pistols now. I am a shooter, not a collector. Good excuse to buy another gun and is a pretty good indicator that you have enjoyed a lot of range time with friends.

  13. Yeah, it's a fine gun, I have a couple, but why do high mileage on a tricycle?

  14. I have an older lcp 1 and while I’m sure it would last 20k rounds I would worry about the barrrel and other moving parts at that point. The bigger question is who would want to put 20k rounds through one? They are not fun guns to shoot.

  15. That is like asking this group “do you own more than one pistol?” get the 9c !

  16. Own a Glock 34, 17, 19, and 43. So pretty much same gun except the 43 is obviously a little different. I say go for it.

  17. I cant say if you're an oddball or not, but you definitely would not be alone in doing that. I have or have had variants accross a number of brands, Sig, Beretta, Glock CZ, various 1911's, S&W's....and I am sure others that are not coming right to me. If you like a particular gun it seems logical do get a version more suited to a particular use if its offered.

  18. You are probably an oddball, because I have a Glock 30 and a Glock 21, the compact and full versions of .45ACP. Sorry!

  28. It’s worth noting (again) that the best years for us gunowners were when we a Dem governor and a Republican supermajority in the House/Senate. The Republicans had to put in the work to prove themselves. The second the Republicans had the trifecta of both houses and the Governor’s mansion forward movement on gun rights all but came to a screeching halt.

  29. Kinda like saying the Hi Power is a modernized 1911. The CZ is a 45 year old design.
