Many thanks to @alleycat72 for the lower! All told, I have receipts totaling $376 including the 2 mags, scope, mount & foregrip Lots of judicious shopping around, waiting for deals & eBay netted me this & I'm tickled pink!6 points

I have this aluminum hand stop on two of my ar’s. I like it a lot. Simple and effecitve. They’re made by Phase 5 and they’re around $30.2 points

So much this....if you dont get the fun gun you want and tons of ammo now dont you dare come whining when the next panic hits and you cant afford to shoot.2 points

I only find the angled foregrip useful when I'm reaching out down the length of a rail. For that, I have it on one of my ARs with a 13" quad rail. It's more for a comfortable rest of my support hand when shooting bench or prone than anything else. On my SBR, it's an old fashioned vertical grip all the way. I never got into the stubby ones. You may be thinking vertical grip, not angled grip.2 points

I have 3 KAG's. My favorite. Not a fan of the AFG at all. I either gave mine away, or it's buried in a box somewhere.2 points

I too hated the AFG from Magpul. Its laying around in a parts box somewhere, I dont think it made it through one mag of ammo before I took it off. I do like the BCM KAG quite a bit, and have run it on multiple pistols, but on my rifle(s) I have the BCM vertical grip Mod-3 and its been that way for several years now. The sound of a 15yo girl...it makes Swedish Death Metal seem calming.... Metallica's remake of Queens song is helping though...1 point

Hmm, I guess you're right. I was under the impression that the ATF had said that AFGs were not allowed either, but hand-stops were. Good to know. Still, AFGs suck. Almost as much as the NFA's nebulous web of contradictory statements sucks.1 point

Appreciate the comments. I've always suspected the hand select option is just a suckers ploy, its never made a difference. A little over 3 years ago I got a completely mint unissued T33, and the blem Galil's from a couple months ago were a deal. Half price and mine only had one small ding in the dust cover that disappeared with a dab from a blue pen. I know what Bill means, I am wary of their "collector" bits and would never buy from them. Couple years ago they had a batch of original minty M1 Carbines they claimed where from a collection and were being sold at a premium. Closer examination showed they had inconsistent parts and a some looked to be refinished. My recent dealing that brought me to ask this, was the recent batch of T33's, and more specifically the customer service side. The video said excellent condition and blued. Condition conflicted with the website but also said blued (original finish is blue) and the nicest they have ever had. I called and they told me the video was right. No mention of them being arsenal frakenguns. Turns out they were arsenal refinished parts guns. The finish was a cheesy parkerizing. I got one with a bad action from a poorly mated slide and it had scuffs and scratches on every surface. I literally mean that. Both sides of the slide, frame sides, back strap and front strap. So I sent a note to CS and they disputed the condition and video, without addressing the finish differences and being arsenal hacks. It just had too much stray for what it was suppose to be for me. They surprise was not the gun as much as how combative their customer service was about it. They had been good about it in the other occasion I had to deal with that kind of discrepancy. After a bit of hassle, they did refund most of my money, but it should have been less of a hassle in my opinion.1 point

AFG on a pistol is a no-go with the ATF unless the overall length is over 26 inches, or it's already registered as an NFA item and you paid the government their pound of flesh for a stamp. ... EDIT ... Seems I was mistaken. F the NFA.1 point

Yep. Maybe an executive order though. Oh, wait, that's for banning bump stocks... Sigh.1 point

Dirty old man!! Cannot just appreciate the fine thing she did for gun owners. Wish she'd stand though. lol1 point

600 yards. But the price isn't just for the long range rifle. Its for all of the disciplines. There is a old west town for the SASS guys. An Action Pistol range for the IDPA/IPSC and 3 gun guys. Trap and Skeet and a trail through the woods and a wobble stand for the shotguns. A static pistol range. There is an archery range and two ponds to fish.1 point

Royal Range is a significantly larger facility which gives the impression that it's not as crowded. I'd wager they run as many or more shooters through on busy days as Nashville Armory, but Royal Range has the facility to support the volume. More lanes, more options, more square footage.1 point

See, now you just can't do that. Tease another good story like that, and say you're not going to give us the details... Maybe we should have a story time thread. Only good, wholesome, no longer chargeable fun.1 point

In theory the angled grip appealed to me because I really like the feel of using standard foregrip with my hand partially on the grip and partially on the hand guard. I put the angled grip on and hated it from the start. In reality it made the rifle feel top heavy and hard to control, I took it right back off. You may love it though lol1 point

These truly are “the good ol’ days” with regards to firearms. I hope all of y’all are taking advantage of them.1 point

Royal Range... never as crowded as NA, and the everyone there is awesome. Always willing to help too.1 point

I will never own one. There are far too many other higher quality guns for me to lust after. Call me a snob if you want but I simply have no interest in them. BTW, I have only ever actually shot one. Whatever their 9mm plastic compact offering was about 10 years ago. Had to aim about a foot low to hit anything with it and just was cheap feeling. All that being said, I have no problem with them or those that like them.1 point

I've got a friend that shoots there regularly and loves it.1 point

I have 3 of these revolvers, 1 SS, 1 blue in 357.38Spl , and another SS 38Spl only. This is my EDC, and has been for 5 years. Diabetic neuropathy forced me back to revolvers. Nerve damage in my hands and wrist. The 38 Spl is a ultra light. I pocket carry and use a Desantsis Nemesis pocket holster that I need to rip out the inside stitching and have my wife re-sow the inside stitching opening up the throat about 1/4". Works well for pocket carry, but I have never found a good leather or IWB holster for the 617. How do you like the 617? I really like mine, and the 7 rounds are not bad. I can get by and not be made out to be carrying if I wear dark colored trousers. They print, a little, in lighter color trousers, but I have never been called on indiscrete carrying. If you find a leather holster, that is adequate, please let me know.1 point

Purchased a Tokarev T33 just recently. It was listed as Military Surplus and used. Didn't try for any special pick of 5, (or was it 10). Just wanted a firing example. I received as good an example as I had not expected. It looked more like un-issued stock to me. No marks of any kind. I'm extremely happy with what I received.1 point

I remember a Vietnam era US sniper talking about using the enemy's glow from a cigarette as a target aid. Not sure I want anything extra glowing if I am in a tactical situation. Also, I am in the "Why do I need to spend more money?" camp. I know where the safety is and what position equals fire and safe. This provides no functional benefit.1 point

It was, but I broke both ankles, a hip, a shoulder, and both collar bones just trying to watch it! I realize now why that's supposed to be a spectator sport.0 points
