Same thing happened to me back in 08. Goes to show you that the good Lord had a plan. He taught me to try my best to lead a stress free life among other things. I've been doing my best to listen.2 points

8:00 am: I made a snowman. 8:10 - A feminist passed by and asked me why I didn't make a snow woman. 8:15 - So, I made a snow woman. 8:17 - My feminist neighbor complained about the snow woman's voluptuous chest saying it objectified snow women everywhere. 8:20 - The gay couple living nearby threw a hissy fit and moaned it could have been two snow men instead. 8:22 - The transgender man..women...person asked why I didn't just make one snow person with detachable parts. 8:25 - The vegans at the end of the lane complained about the carrot nose, as veggies are food and not to decorate snow figures with. 8:28 - I was being called a racist because the snow couple is white. 8:31 - The middle eastern gent across the road demanded the snow woman be covered up . 8:40 - The Police arrived saying someone had been offended. 8:42 - The feminist neighbor complained again that the broomstick of the snow woman needed to be removed because it depicted women in a domestic role. 8:43 - The council equality officer arrived and threatened me with eviction. 8:45 - TV news crew from ABC showed up. I was asked if I know the difference between snowmen and snow-women? I replied "Snowballs" and am now called a sexist. 9:00 - I was on the News as a suspected terrorist, racist, homophobe sensibility offender, bent on stirring up trouble during difficult weather. 9:10 - I was asked if I have any accomplices. My children were taken by social services. 9:29 - Far left protesters offended by everything marched down the street demanding for me to be arrested. Moral: There is no moral to this story. It is what we have become all because of snowflakes2 points

We had out company Xmas party last night. I got talked into buying 5 shots of 15yo Pappy Van Winkle. Not worth the $110 per shot but it was really good. We had guaranteed to spend a certain amount on food and liquor and were a few dollars short of our minimum. That's the only reason I sprung for the good stuff.2 points

My dad died about 90 seconds. He said he was "aware" he had passed away and even though it was tough to describe, it was the most peaceful feeling he's ever had.1 point

As good as any. I bought a bottle of Old Grand Dad bottled-in-bond. 100 proof pokes through the slurry.1 point

My normal practice when I go in a shop is if I don't get a gun, to purchase ammo. Although I haven't had time to spend at the reloading bench, I need to continue stocking supplies. I remember several years ago when I had a problem finding primers and powder.1 point

"...Cheap guns are so much fun!" I have to agree with you. All of my ARs are pretty much "parts guns." I only have one that was relatively expensive, and that was for the time. A Colt 6920 bought years ago at retail. The others pieced from many different sources. But sounds like you are far more experienced than me. I will say that your comment is especially true for me on the pistol level. I have spent from 250 to 1500(once, and it ate at me so much I sold it. lol) Anyway, I seem to get just as much enjoyment from my cheap Rock Island 1911 as my Sig. Both shoot far better than I'm capable of, so I just keep at it until I find I'm just as bad with either one.1 point

I learned this year the importance of using vacation time as intended, in a weekly block. In the past, add a day here or there to a weekend or holiday. It's a neat experience to unplug. Regarding stress, income and time investment, depends on what is important...just don't bitch when folks make more money or climb the ladder faster.1 point

Well, best 1/4 mile pass I got was 11.7 @ 118 mph. That was on a all season tire, leaving at idle with traction control on..... Car #83 Still had issues with the home brewed tune. I plan to take it to a real dyno tuner soon as I get my new Stage II ProCharger D1SC instaled. If I can get ahold of the shop I ordered from in time on Monday and it's not too late, I'm going to upgrade the head unit to the D1X. 10's sec 1/4 mile runs, here I come!1 point

Bourbon or rum is good. Since you're gonna pour your liquor into a glass of milk eggs and sugar any medium priced bourbon will do.1 point
