I hope you take the time and read the whole thing. Thanks. JUST A BIKER I saw you; hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line. But you didn't see me put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday. I saw you pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk. But you didn't see me playing Santa at the local Mall. I saw you change your mind about going into the restaurant when you saw my bike parked out front. But you didn't see me attending a meeting to raise more money for the cyclone relief. I saw you roll up your window and shake your head when I rode by. But you didn't see me riding behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window. I saw you frown at me when I smiled at your children. But you didn't see me, when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless. I saw you stare at my long hair. But you didn't see me and my friends cut it off for cancer research. I saw you roll your eyes at our Leather jackets and gloves. But you didn't see me and my brothers donate our old ones to those that had none. I saw you look in fright at my tattoos. But you didn't see me cry as my children where born or have their name written over and in my heart. I saw you change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere. But you didn't see me going home to be with my family. I saw you, complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be. But you didn't see me when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane. I saw you yelling at your kids in the car. But you didn't see me pat my child's hands knowing she was safe behind me. I saw you reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road. But you didn't see me squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn. I saw you race down the road in the rain. But you didn't see me get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date. I saw you run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time. But you didn't see me trying to turn right. I saw you cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in. But you didn't see me leave the road. I saw you, waiting impatiently for my friends to pass. But you didn't see me. I wasn't there. I saw you go home to your family. But you didn't see me. Because I died that day you cut me off. I was just a biker. A person with friends and a family. But you didn't see me. Repost this around in hopes that people will understand the biker community. If you don't repost this, it sucks to be you. I hope you never lose someone that rides. EVEN IF YOU DON'T LIKE US, RESPECT OUR RIGHTS TO RIDE WHAT WE CHOOSE AND TAKE A FEW EXTRA SECONDS TO BE SURE WE ARE NOT IN 'YOUR' WAY RP3 points

I personally don’t see the point of buying a “factory made” AR when you can get closer to what you want by putting one together, usually much cheaper. Accuracy and reliability-wise I’d put one of my $500 Palmetto State creations up against any four digit dollar rifles.3 points

I have been selling Pro-Tech knives since 2014 in that time I have seen some of the finest custom knives I could imagine, but yesterday I brokered a deal for one of my clients on what I consider one of the absolute best custom knives made, this TR3 in inlaid with 24Karet Gold and has a solid gold 1/4 ounce bullion coin inlaid it is absolutely stunning2 points

Next week it looks like the lows are going to be in the 50’s. Should be some good mornings.1 point

Still too warm for me. I have the itch, but I’ll enjoy it more when the temps break. I have another lease this year out in Carroll Co. It’s a bit of a drive for me, but I’m hoping it will produce. I’ll probably bow hunt close to home and drive out there some during muzzleloader and gun.1 point

I got out Saturday morning. Drove through 2 storms to get to my lease and expected to meet up with my buddy but the rain ran him off. Since I was already there I went ahead and climbed my tree. Between walking through tall grass/pine saplings and light rain, I was good and wet. Never saw a thing, at least not until I left and drove past a couple of pieces of land for sale on the way home. A couple of does were out in the fields. I got a decent 8pt on my cam with a tall rack. If he sticks to his afternoon pattern, I'll have to do an evening hunt.1 point

I get what the OP is saying. I work with a guy who is an MC biker. He rides with TKOP Riders (Those Kind Of People). He looks like a biker and rides with like people. He is one of the nicest, funniest guys you would ever want to know. He would do anything to help you out. His club does multiple charity functions a year raising lots of money for people in need. Knowing him certainly changed the way I thought about bikers.1 point

I would absolutely love to get rid of all of mine and have the implants done, but I believe it's very expensive1 point

All night long. Their are 18 people who don't know when to get out of the rain. It does wonders for optics.1 point

Not trying to crap on your sentiment; it is very valid! I'm giving a thumbs up to your post. But, I feel the need to add something. There is always a Yin AND a Yang. And, I hope implication is not that people would disregard a biker's safety, because of his/her appearance. I'm a rider. We should ride like everyone is out to kill us. People are not "tuned" to watch for motorcycles. It doesn't matter what someone thinks about anyone else, each individual has rights, but accidents happen; the outcome is just much worse for the biker. And, I gotta say...… seems like most motorcycle accidents that I've heard about, recently, are single vehicle (rider fault.) I've been in a truck, and had a biker cut so closely in front of me that it caused me to hard brake (trying to avoid the bike.) Younger people, whether in a car, or on a bike think they are immortal. I've also been on my bike, and had another motorcyclist create a dangerous situation close by. I have also been nearly compromised by 4 wheelers and even 18 wheelers. Fortunately, I have a decent survival instinct. I can almost feel the hair rise, on my neck, close to intersections. I avoid the blind spot of 18 wheelers, even if it means briefly exceeding the speed limit. I have had to give up my right of way to avoid vehicles encroaching into my lane. Let's get to the point that the public is "tuned" to watch for all vehicles, but let's not ride a bike as though we were in an SUV.1 point

There’s been tests that show mlok is stronger but imo I don’t think there’s much difference. However, I do think that mlok generally looks better. Here’s a picture of my 18” DMR version in the tungsten grey. It’s a got a vortex strike eagle 1-8 that I’ll probably upgrade in the future and a Geissele SSA-E trigger.1 point

If I'm going to buy a high end rifle it is going to start with one of the following: DD Noveske KAC Having said that, I own 2 factory AR pattern rifles. Both are S&W. The first is a VTAC. Love the gun. It has been through 10+ classes and has never failed. I've never had a failure of any type on it. I'm closing in on 20k rounds through it. I'm starting to look at a replacement barrel but it is still minute of Mark A accurate. The other rifle is a M&P 10 that I swapped parts on to 100% mimic the VTAC. It runs great as well. I only have about 1,200 rounds through it but I do not remember any issues with it. I'm not even close to a gun whisperer but when I get a new one I take it apart as far as I am qualified to do so, clean it, lube it and put it back together. I then dry fire it 100 times a night for a week. The last 50 are with practice rounds. It is then put back through the cleaning routine. After that I beat the snot out of them. Modern firearms are pretty good in general. We live in great times....1 point

There is exactly zero penalty for getting it checked out. And, if something is wrong - you’ll be far better off dealing with it now as opposed to wishing you had. I’d at the very least give them a call today.1 point

I wouldn't hesitate to call the oral Surgeon and tell him what's happening. They could call you in something or re check you.1 point

If I read your post correctly, you probably have a subscleral hemorrhage. If your not seeing red (literally not metaphysically) from the experience or the redness does not cross into the iris (colored part of eye) this is probably your diagnosis. Subsceral hemorrhages generally resolve spontaneously within a few days without any specific treatment. Good luck with your recovery.1 point

Just another copy of the Colt Mustang. I have two Mustangs and prefer the original Colts to either the Sig or Kimber copies. Plus the Colt is usually a bit cheaper. But all three are great guns.1 point

I went to SanAngelo Tx last weekend with a group. Between 6 of us, we killed 67 hogs and 38 coyotes in 6 hours from a helicopter. Flew in on Friday afternoon and back to Nashville Sunday am. It was a freaking blast!1 point

Nope. Just prevents them from getting an HCP. Crime is created by the state, making ordinary citizens criminals for carrying without one. - OS1 point

Also, TICS is simply a middle man. The state found a way to get 3-4 million dollars a year by charging $10 to run a background through the FREE NICS system. I can't believe every state hasn't figured it out. Regardless of the sentiment, TICS tries to get approvals. They want people running checks so that they keep getting checks.1 point

Price Inquiry Threads Update Recently, we’ve had a lot of “How Much is My Gun Worth†threads here in the Long Guns Forum.* While this isn’t against the rules per se, selling a firearm outside of the Trading Post is. *The majority of these are usually from Non-Benefactors, and the Admin/Mod’s suspicion is that members are trying to skirt the rule of requiring a member of TGO to be a Benefactor to post “For Sale/Trade†ads in the Classifieds Section; so when looking at certain posts in the Long Guns Forum where a member is asking for a price, sometimes this can turn into a “For Sale†ad (intentional or not…) * The truth is, if you are intelligent enough to create an account on TGO, you should know that all you have to do to get an accurate up-to-date price on any firearm, is SEARCH.* Google is very helpful (try their “Shopping†search, it will give you pricing information from several gun websites and I’ve found it fairly accurate).* Not enough? Try GunBroker.com, GunsAmerica.com, or AuctionArms.com; all these sites show what the going rate is for a particular firearm. If you think those auction sites are overpriced, then subtract $100.* The truth is, firearms pricing is all over the board these days.* * Going forward, all Price Inquiry threads will be monitored closely, and if they look suspicious, Infractions will be given and the thread will be deleted.* In legitimate Inquiry threads, once the OP’s (Original Poster) question has been answered, the thread will be locked to prevent misuse. * We appreciate your cooperation with this matter. Please don’t hesitate to PM me if you have any questions. * Thanks!1 point
