  1. Hot from the production floor. Another Manny Mansfield... (I laughed out loud when the bullets fell off the target paper)

  2. Figured I would share. Saw this at shoot point blank range in Knoxville earlier. It’s used in great shape with box, mags and grip inserts. $660 and 10% off

  3. I personally don’t see the point of buying a “factory made” AR when you can get closer to what you want by putting one together, usually much cheaper. Accuracy and reliability-wise I’d put one of my $500 Palmetto State creations up against any four digit dollar rifles.

  4. Agree with Moped. I'm carrying a .380 right now - I have no issues with the caliber. Precision One and the new Sig Vcrown perfoms well in YouTube tests. If I was heavy into .380, I'd probably get the carbine. Great back up home defense, truck, range gun. (I think better carry options, but it'll do in a pinch) With .380 at $12/50, it's pretty darn affordable to shoot

  6. Thinking about this more. Each to his own, but just thinking about new shooters. Unless one is looking at around a 8# + trigger, I am not a big fan of a glock or other type handguns without a safety. I understand the argument for simplistic operation, but unless is willing to train and be intimately familiar with their pistol, I think the safety is a good idea. How many of you started hunting and walked around with the safety off. Duck hunt with the gun sitting with the safety off. Point is, one carries a gun, handles the gun a whole lot more than the actual shooting of the gun. Until one becomes proficient, the point of being safe has to be #1 concern.

  7. More often than not, experiences shape outlook. Someone at a young age sees their classmates murdered by someone with a gun? Of course the majority of people in that situation would be anti-gun afterwards. A few may not, but it is likely that those would have probably already been pro-gun to begin with. It has always greatly irritated me that many in gun culture have been so quick to not only write-off most of these victims (less face it, all of the students in these scenarios were victims), but to even go as far to verbally slander them in various ways. You never change someone's mind by calling them names, stupid, etc. You change someone's mind by listening to them, considering their input and life experiences, and at some point suggesting that maybe there is a better way/opinion. Of course it doesn't always work, but it sure does work better than calling someone names, telling them that they are stupid/wrong, and invalidating the fact that they survived a school shooting but conversely watched their classmates get killed. That never works.

  8. And he may not, but he doesn’t see the opposing side as being evil. That’s the key here I think. As the common bonds that used to hold American society together have broken down, folks have become increasingly tribal. They have also taken to dehumanizing those that are not part of their particular tribe. Whenever anyone can see where the other side is made up of people too, it’s a win for everyone.

  9. Why not ship it back to Hi-Point and let them fix it and provide you another mag? Seems like you really aren't out anything. And while it's not an expensive pistol, you will still have a good gun. If nothing else, make it your tackle box or truck gun. Afterwards, maybe gift it to some one that needs a firearm, but really can't afford one.
