  1. That’s certainly true. But, it’s double the less than minimum wage he’s making right now. And, the benefit of being done at 3:30 is that you could reasonably do something else like lessons or a part time gig. Sometimes when you’re down in a pit, it doesn’t seem like there’s any hope. I know Mikey’s is a loyal worker. The benefit of someone his age is that they’re also pretty dependable. I’m hoping something pans out. And soon.

  2. They've been anti-gun for decades. It's no big deal to me because Diamond Gusset makes much better jeans.

  3. Great info already in this thread. And Welcome to TGO RShores! I believe you'll find a very knowledgeable, fair, and accommodating group of buyers and sellers here on TGO. Most are willing to travel within reason. I've met quite a few pretty darn awesome folks via these processes as well. Please bear in mind that we are right in the middle of what many refer to as the "Trump Slump" and it's effect can be seen on everything gun related...Ammo pricing, Firearms, Training etc. But it's just part of "The Cycle" we in the gun community have seen for years. You may well be aware of all this, but I thought I'd toss it out nonetheless. My point is even with fair pricing it may take a bit of time to sell an item..maybe not! But be patient, summer is generally slower, midterm elections always have some effect one way or another...but I've enjoyed and appreciate having access to this community and it's members. TGO David has a "sticky" post in the classifieds that is well worth reading: Again, Welcome and the best of good fortune to you. Jamie

  4. You have to do the math. If you're working 80 hours a week, averaging 190 per unit at 9.5 units per month that equals $5.64 per hour. A $9 per hour 40 hour week gets you close to the same numbers and you get half your life back. Was in auto industry for nearly 25 years. To make big money in sales you have to have repeat business and referrals. Unfortunately that takes time to develop (3 years generally to see it start paying off). Most can't survive that long. If you are waiting for walkups or dealer advertising to drive sales for you it is even tougher. You have to go create sales for yourself. If you hate what you do my only advice is to change now. Life is too short. Good luck.

  5. My first real post here. For those of you who didn't read my introduction....SWMBO and I are from Washington state. Moved here because of the Navy. I'm working for the city of Memphis and mandated to live in Shelby county. We're looking at housing now. The current one that catches our interest has propane heating and propane hot water. We'd also probably put in a gas stove and run a line for the grill. It's on about 5 acres. My question; On the average, how much does propane cost? And, how does it get paid for? I heard some horror stories a couple of years ago about propane pricing getting outrageous and just need some assurance. Long term,, we're also gonna want to cover the patio with something so I can grill or smoke when it rains. Anybody in the trades here? Livestock. Chickens, goats, miniature horses, anyone here with experience? If we get this place, we're gonna have lots of questions! Bueller? Thanks in advance!

  7. I used to buy Levis, but they became overpriced and jumped into the modern bandwagon with the styles. I usually get Wranglers or Lee jeans now, and those I get when on sale. Another company which feels they can come out ahead, personally I don't think this will help their sales slump.

  9. I wouldn't sweat the lack of experience. If you show up more than 3 days in a row, you'll be ahead of a bunch of people. Denso is always hiring here, $14/hr, no experience necessary.

  10. Got invited to hunt down south of Eagleville. The doves were flying. Unfortunately the direction they were flying took them over the field beside us first. That field had some good shooters in it. Not a lot of doves made it to our field. The ones that did were moving fast. We only got 20 doves between myself, my cousin and his two kids. The majority of the doves were taken by the kids. I got the first dove with the very first shot I had ever took with my new to me o/u. It went downhill real fast after that for me. Still was a great, albeit a little hot, afternoon.

  12. Well, out of necessity, I'm starting a new gig. I'll be at Rivergate KIA as a salesman. I know nothing about cars, but the sales manager says he's excited to have me on board. He calls me their "token honkey." He seems to think I'll do very well. We'll see. Come buy a car. Buy lots. Prove him right, and help me earn my "token honkey" title.
