  1. You have to do the math. If you're working 80 hours a week, averaging 190 per unit at 9.5 units per month that equals $5.64 per hour. A $9 per hour 40 hour week gets you close to the same numbers and you get half your life back. Was in auto industry for nearly 25 years. To make big money in sales you have to have repeat business and referrals. Unfortunately that takes time to develop (3 years generally to see it start paying off). Most can't survive that long. If you are waiting for walkups or dealer advertising to drive sales for you it is even tougher. You have to go create sales for yourself. If you hate what you do my only advice is to change now. Life is too short. Good luck.

  2. Don't be fooled, there are lots of East TN members here. Some are just quite until they see something that catches their eye. A benefactor membership was a great investment for me. More so in meeting good people than even buying or selling.

  3. Welcome aboard, the trading post is a good, safe, secure place for buyers and sellers to virtually meet and coordinate the face to face. As far a meeting someone in a parking lot; well known to me or known to a person I trust. TGO members are special, I'll meet with them in dark alleys...

  4. I hadn't even thought of the membership idea (to be honest). I just checked, and for the same price as transferring at a store, I can join for a year... just need to find a buyer near enough to ETN to meet so I don't have to bother with shipping. Good idea, I'll do that - thank you!

  5. Sign up for a benefactor membership here and sell them on TGO. As for RK shows, if someone wants to buy your guns you will have to do the transaction in the parking lot instead of inside the show. There is nothing illegal or shady with conducting the transaction in the parking lot. Bottom line is do whatever makes you comfortable.

  6. I think Greg means know fair market value range and price accordingly based on condition. I'm in East TN and have gun money from time to time. I also like chances R perspective, you're not desperate to sell, so who cares how long it will take to get the deal you want. We also like to trade...my favorite.

  7. Further down in that same post though: To be honest, I think it's a moot point... y'all have all been polite and helpful, and this seems like a community that I'd be willing to pay for the privilege of belonging to - assuming it doesn't turn out like Groucho Marx and the Friar's Club of Beverly Hills!

  8. America Motorsports near Rivergate handled all mine. They did a great job. Sloans is reported to be good also. Probably one is about as close to you as the other.

  9. Become a Benefactor here on TGO and you might have a person that lives 10 miles from you that is interested in what you have to sell. The are a lot of folks on the site that live up that way........JMHO

  10. This was the ad I saw nad it says $11 and it does not request experienced people. I'm guess they are having the same issue keeping employees as everyone else is. Can't pass drug tests of getting fired for a spontaneous test without notice. Might be worth your time to look into it. Beretta USA CORP 28 reviews Gallatin, TN Responsive employer $11 an hour Is currently looking for Firearms Assemblers to work out of our manufacturing facility in Gallatin, TN. 11. Thanks for the detailed feedback. I had a Rami and really regret letting it go, one of those times where something had to go to pick up something else...

  12. While the article doesn’t make it clear, if these folks were unindicted and unconvicted, then we have another word for this. Theft.
