  2. You can’t open carry without one either. Tennessee issues a Handgun Carry Permit. The style of carry is not defined.

  3. Blah blah blah..mass shootings... blah blah blah...military style ... blah blah blah...people affected... blah blah blah...must do something...working with... blah blah blah...we can all agree Same old script . Same old talking points . Same old result. And nothing about it will do anything other than keep guns out of the hands of the law abiding . When liberals talk about gun control , they never mention going into the hood to get those guns from the criminals. It’s always to keep them away from the ex-military , ex-law enforcement officers, farmers , hunters and law abiding citizens who believe in their own right to protect themselves from would-be criminals .

  4. BOA isn’t a terrible company because of this. They are a terrible company because of their overall business practices. They simultaneously make the case for government regulation with the way the operate to the public detriment and against government regulation with the way in which they buy the legislators and regulators who pretend to keep them in line.

  6. A case of what? You cannot carry a handgun on your person in this state without a permit unless maybe you are on your own property. You must be 21 to hold a permit. The key word here is “carry”.

  7. Permitless carry will get you thrown in jail in this state, or at least summoned.

  8. I agree, pointing a gun at anyone is simply RUDE ! I see it all the time at gun stores. I couldn't sell guns. Potential customer takes gun from salesperson and immediately and negligently points it at clerk and others in store. I would simply grab the gun back and say you are too stupid to buy a gun. I am uncomfortable pointing a blue gun at myself let alone others.

  9. This is why I don't like having a real gun pointed at me at any time, even if it's been "checked" by someone near by. I took a class a few years ago where the instructor was pointing his semi auto at us as part of his demonstration. I'm not down with that. If it's not a blue gun, it shouldn't be pointed my direction. Props to Mas for owning up to this mistake and allowing it to be a teachable moment for the rest of us.

  11. You need to e very careful about what doctors tell you. I have been told not less than 7 times I would be dead in 24 hours or less and I am still here. BOA just sent me a NO LIMIT card Application in the mail the other day and I cut it up in small pieces, Placed it is the envelope they supplied with postage paid and sent it back to them. I have began reseaching other banks in my area in which to move my accounts.

  12. If you are both residents of the same state it's perfectly fine to give someone a firearm, even if you're under 21. There is no need for a bill of sale or "paper trail". There is also no registration of any kind in TN which is a common misconception. The fact that your dad has since moved to another state doesn't matter either. Sounds like you've not broken any laws.

  17. You would hear bells for weeks after getting out. Wonder if anyone ever thought of firing a grappling hook from a rifle mounted grenade launcher and just dragging the wire back to be removed or at an angle to the side until it breaks?

  20. When she gets the axe and they reverse their actions, I may consider doing business with them again, but for now I'm out. I have no problem with people (or corporations) having a stance, but when their actions are contrary or a detriment to our Constitution, I will vote with my feet, and $$.

  21. From strictly a collectability and value perspective, leave it alone. Unmolested, unrestored pieces are typically sought after by collectors more so than guns that have been "prettied up". As an heirloom, you may have a completely different objective for it, and that's understandable, just be aware that the next person who owns it may not feel the same. In that case, it's likely that any restoration done to it now may highly reduce its value in the future. In regards to your original question, you might have better luck on some of the collector boards, like gunboards.com. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with it ...

  23. BTW... I have a high limit card with BOA that I won't use. I'm not big on any credit cards these days. But as it stacks up now, my BOA card has the highest limit, but is about number 6 on the list for what actually gets used. Now, if the doc ever gives me two weeks to live, that sucker is coming out. Like I said... stupid.
