They don't care. They want civilian disarmament and don't care what it takes to get it. At least they are finally being honest about it. For YEARS they hid their true agenda. Now that former Justice Stevens has come out for doing away with the 2nd all the kooks are being a little more vocal.... But they need to really think this through.....they run the risk of a political backlash like in 94 or worse a cultural backlash and armed insurgency if they actually try to implement this stuff......3 points

350 round Remington range buckets for $65 including tax and free shipping. Not as cheap as they were on Black Friday with the rebates but still about as cheap as I could find any online. https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/remington-umc-9mm-brass-115-grain-pistol-target-ammunition-bucket#repChildCatid=3376324 Also posted this in the general chat but I just realized Academy offers 5% cash back through active junky and if you sign up through my referral link below you’ll get $10 extra after your first purchase of $25 or more. Also PSA and Brownells are on there. You’ll need to go through active junky when you make the purchase though not the academy link. https://www.activejunky.com/invite/1065765 Also Winchester is currently doing 25% rebates on all centerfire pistol ammo excluding 9mm.2 points

I’m generally not a fan of James Yeager, but I have seen a few of his videos before YouTube killed his channel. In one of them he made a statement to the effect of “if you think it is time to bury your guns then that is the time to start using them.” He wasn’t wrong.2 points

What do you want to bet if they bought all these back at $200, a bunch of them would get sold for profit somehow by some fat cat in DC? Even a cheap a$$ AR in 5.56 is worth double that. Let alone all the stupid people that turn in stuff like a vintage Garand at the buy backs in the past.2 points

I'm obviously biased but I would much rather live in Knoxville or Chattanooga. I went to Nashville in 2015 for a job interview and was absolutely blown away by how bad traffic is now. I thought I'd somehow teleported to Atlanta. Knoxville is small enough to avoid some of the headaches found in bigger cities but still big enough to never be bored. Downtown continues to get nicer as well. Plus I can drive in just about any direction and find a place to go hiking.2 points

I was listening to Guns And Leather radio hour a few weeks ago. They mentioned they had Mossberg Shockwaves in 20 gauge on sale for $339 . I always wanted one but in 12 gauge. I waited a week and then got one of the 20 gauge. I am so glad I went with the 20 gauge. It is way more manageable than I thought and still has a good thump towards the target or bad guys. With the 14 inch barrel it's neat as neat could be ! Plus I figured if there was another "Clinton ban" these things would definitly get banned so why not get one now. I am all about practical weapons and practical tools but this thing is fun and can be. It can also hide very well in a car or truck to just bring along If you're checking on some farm stuff or just riding down the road messing around and too lazy to strap on a pistol. I am very pleased with it. It is the most unpractical thing I ever bought but it is truly fun. I'm keeping the forearm strap on it cause I can see how your hand could slip past the forearm and get blasted by the muzzle very easily. You cant beat $339 for something like this . Here's it is . I slathered on a heavy coat of Ballistol after shooting it so that's why it looks wet especially on the bolt. Thanks to Guns And Leather !1 point

Sold a gun I wasn't using and used the funds to get a brand new S.A. XD9 Service size in gray . Then got a new Areo Precision lower for $49 . I think this was a win win situation. People always say stuff about the "gripzone" shown on the grip but it don't bother me. It's a tool . Gonna build a simple AR slowly but surely as I go . XD from Rural King and Areo Precision lower from Tn Gun Country .1 point

But it took a lot of outside intervention and cost a huge amount of lives. Not sure we want it to go like that,1 point

Yes it is! Not always through legislation, but through social pressure (when they shout down conservatives on campus and other such events and places) and through the media (by choking off the conservative voices out there and subject them to ridicule as MSNBC and CNN do quite often).1 point

People need to realize this is just the beginning and fight it hard. What will be next, right to free speech, right of search or right to be considered innocent until proven guilty? Fight these idiots and fight hard!1 point

Plenty of right leaning folks in Nashville. They just voted down a bloated $9 Bil mass transit spending package with like 65% against. So, the town tends to vote blue, but not necessarily tree huggin, tofu guzzlin blue.1 point

There was a police shooting in chicago and the gun that mysteriously turned up at the scene was one previously purchased by the police department during a buy back. Pretty obvious what happened there...1 point

One can't beat the cost per ability to adjust as well as all the aftermarket buttplates and the ability to change to two different grips. There are some "edges" on the stock that I might take a sanding block or dremel too once I shoot with this some more. I need just enough accuracy so that I can at least stay in Plinker4life's "rear view mirror" when we are shooting saltine crackers at LBL. If he gets too high a cracker count over me I get discouraged:)1 point

The amount of cash you need to have on hand to start a credit card company is staggering. Even if every manufacturer and the nra put all their cash together (which last time i heard is zero dollars because all of them are carrying debt including the nra) it would be nearly impossible plus it would create cash flow issues for all. It’s simply not feasible.1 point

If you look at most modern big box stores quarterly earnings - Sears, JC Penney, etc. - they’re simply retail fronts for offering a credit card. They make (made) way more in finance charges and interest than they ever made in margin on goods sold.1 point

My girlfriend’s dad bought his first gun last week and I talked him into buying that exact same XD. Great deal and he loves it.1 point

Somewhere there is a unit of measure of how NOT funny something is, and that pegged the mega unit meter over so hard it bent the needle. The goal of power is power, and the front of 'for the children" is deceptive and heinous. This is a stockroom attack on a gun manufacturer, and other gun firms would do well to take notes.1 point

I always liked the XD's. I think you get a lot of gun for the money and the GRIPZONE doesn't bother me either.1 point

This one is for my oldest daughter. Since her birthday is this month I had Grand Torino make a Karambit for her, she saw one he had done before and loved it. The sheath is made so it can be worn in multiple positions (horizontal tip up, tip down, or vertical). The distressing was inspired by the Kurkri sheath I did for Grand Torino but done in back and ox blood dye to match the handle. Well here she is, although I may tweak the clip a bit more.....1 point

I have a few revolvers to share with you. Some TC's. One without a scope is a 454 Casull. Just got bored and decided to snap some pictures with the iPhone.1 point

I've been wanting to build a AR pistol for a long time, and that day finally came I purchased a 80% lower and had a friend set the machine up, no drill jig was used , and it only cost me 1 drink to push the button on the machine. IMG_20170113_191000524_HDR_zps3dmi1kyy by Johnny Rotten, on Flickr Then I purchased a PSA pistol upper and LPK, I made a kind-of custom buffer tube foam cover, so here's my truck gun... 2017-07-13_05-25-09 by Johnny Rotten, on Flickr Shot 30 rounds this afternoon in the backyard and really liked it, my son's first comment was it's as loud as our Barrett 50. I need to get BUIS, angle grip and install my red dot..1 point

I was able to buy my old duty gun because we switched over to Gen 5 G17 in 9mm. This may be a regular old Glock 22 but it saved my life in March 15, 2012. I was able to pick it up today and its now all mine. I wont go into all the detail but when I needed it to fire it did. I was holding it with one hand and standing quite awkward. So for it to run when I needed it to , it shined. I got an Alpha Wolf 40-9mm conversion barrel and even a Glock 17 extractor , and the correct spring and plunger for it to be converted to 9mm. I'll still switch it back over to .40S&W to shoot some here and there but mainly 9mm through it.1 point
