  5. I'm just stopping by to say hello. I'm currently living in Idaho, but soon to be in Tennessee. I'm a moderator on a couple of forums, and an administrator on one other. I know how to play nice, and work at staying out of trouble. My main interests are military rifles, and anything made by S&W.

  6. Those that have been here a while will recall my penchant for the archaic; Lemon Squeezers, I-frames and Police Positives. Seemed like a thing to do to have a 32-20 Thread, as my "EDC" is a 1920s vintage Smith and Wesson Military and Police. Mine seems to like heavier bullets better; if I do my part she's developing a very satisfying habit of putting multiple bullets in one hole. The HSM 32-20 is loaded more warmly than Remchester, and has a large, flat bullnose profile.

  7. I posted earlier in the thread about poachers and trespassers on my sons land. Well after the game warden saw the pictures on the trail cams and knew who 2 of them were he went to have a talk with them. The first one said he was not on my sons land and that just made the game warden mad cause the guy lied to him so he stuffed him in his truck in cuffs and went and visited the second guy and he also denied being on the land and denied shooting any deer when they were dragging a doe in two of the pictures. The game warden had the camera and showed them the pictures. Then he said he wanted to see their hunting licenses. Neither one of them had one and yet they had a doe. He radioed for back up and took both of them to jail over in Cheatham county jail. They went up in front of the judge and the judge gave them both 30 days in jail and stern warning that if they were caught poaching or trespassing again the sentence would be 11/29. So I guess they won't be doing much hunting any time soon but I told my son and grand son to be on their toes for a while after these guys get out. I don't know any of them but if the game warden does thats a pretty good indication they don't pay much attention to laws.

  9. I think I agree with you leroy. I honestly think if China cuts the strings with NK the country would whither away like grapes on a vine due to lack of water. I think China wishes it was not the deal maker or breaker in this mess but they for the most part are. On one hand they have a country that is their neighbor that they have been helping keep afloat with a crazy radical leader that even kills his own relatives to stay in power and on the other hand they have all of the American businesses which they could very possibly begin to pull out and at that point NK would become a real burden on them with less money coming in to support their own people. Would not be a tough decision on my part but then I don't think like they do in China either.........JMHO

  10. I wonder about this myself... There is some stuff out there that seems to say that China is trying to appeal to Ki Jong's good sense... I think the Chinese are the only folks that can affect anything with North Korea... leroy...

  12. That is the inprint of the shell holder on to the bottom of the case. Cause, die set to low, you should see more cases like this. If only one that case is thicker at the rim than the rest. My guess it die adjustment.

  19. He is pushing every envelope in his power. There is no food, even the military is told to go steal corn and rice. If you are a scientist your family is in danger if you do not improve what he wants. It’s called a totalitarian dictatorship. If you know otherwise than tell me. The North Korean country is at the end of the noose. KJ is about to do something really stoopid (spelt like Alice Cooper would do), Mark My Words.

  22. When I first posted about Darby I said she had a little history behind her and her being so skinny is part of that which i plan to fix. Her previous owners had her from a puppy and raise her to age 3.5 and a baby was born into the household and once the baby was old enough and crawling if the baby got near Darby she would growl and finally snapped at the baby, not biting the baby but they locked Darby in their garage and when the weekend they took her to the dog rescue and turned her over to them for adoption. Ever since then darby was on somewhat of a hunger strike and went the first 11 days without eating. The on site Vet said if she didn't begin eating they would have to put her down so all the girls that worked at the facility would take turns almost hand feeding at every meal and she was eating just enough to stay alive but not enough to add any weight back on. The girls tried to get about anyone and everyone that came in to adopt her but when she was brought to the visiting area she would not so any signs or reacting to any of the people so no one would take her. I had looked at about 10 different dogs they brought out to the visiting room and I just was not seeing anything that peaked my interest and I was about to give up and one of the girls looked at the other and said how about Darby and the girl went to get her as she was kept in the nursery with the puppys for fear the other dogs might hurt her. They brought her in, handed me her leash and went out to watch through a window. At first I just talked to her in a low tone and pulled an alpo biscuit out of my pocket and broke it in half and offered her half of it. When she heard it break her ears stood straight up and I saw both of the girls get a big grin. I held out the part of the biscuit till she felt comfortable and moved a little closer till she could take it from my hand and then she backed away and laid down and ate it. She stood back up and looked at me as to say she wanted the second half so I held it out and she wagged her tail and moved closer and when she took that half she stood right there and ate it. I reached out and let her smell my hand and reached in my pocket and got out another but I didn't break it but gave her the whole biscuit and she laid down by my feet and ate it and I began to pet her a little and her tail began wagging again. After about 5 minutes of petting as I sat in the chair she put her ears straight up and her tail was wagging and I was petting her. One of the girls was crying and 2 others were laughing. I learned later when they were getting her collar prepared and I was giving them all my address information the girl told me that it was the first time her ears stood up and her tail wagged since she had been there that they had seen. Another plus is she loves to ride. I opened up the back door of the jeep and she didn't need an invite. She was in , ears up and ready to go for a ride. So now you know as much about her as I do except she barked at my land lord several times when he came walking up while she was out side on the cable and has a loud bark.................Thats all folks!!!!

  24. We can’t kill a missile on its way up. We could probably kill it on its way down if we had missile defense downrange ready. But the risk of failure or damage to innocents is great. If we attempt to shoot down a missile and miss; we have a problem. The Chinese and the Russians would probably like to see our attempts at shooting down a missile. Being able to shoot down missiles isn’t what stops aggressors from shooting at us. The knowledge that even if their missiles hit their mark we are going to kill them is what stops them.

  25. The thing is, he should have been charged with manslaughter or negligent homicide instead of murder. They had the gun, knew the bullet had ricocheted off the pavement and still went for murder. Everything else being equal, this would of never made such headlines had it not been made so politically charged. Look at the incident here locally, hot young prostitute shoots homeless man and it only gets a few days of press. It has many elements that could of made this story linger in the press, but nobody picked it as THE story. Whether we like it or not, this is our legal system at work, 12 jurors decided and we need to accept it. I don't believe in double jeopardy, if a person is found not guilty then so be it. Do we really want the feds being able to pick and choose who they will prosecute when they are acquitted at the state level? How about the state charging you after a city, or county trial? No, I think they need to settle the whole jurisdiction portion before the trial and make sure they have a good case before they go for broke. Of course this doesn't affect criminal acts across state lines such as murders committed in multiple states, but not for the same incident.

  27. Mark Bowden (the author of Black Hawk Down) wrote a pretty good article in the Atlantic a couple of months ago. I'd suggest it to anyone thinking about a military intervention in North Korea: https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2017/07/the-worst-problem-on-earth/528717/ I don't disagree that we might end up there eventually. But, from my perspective, the lack of good options makes slowing the rush to war a good thing.
